^How long for the big 4? (MT, Beast, Diamondback, and Banshee) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

^^I believe that’s why they built Mystic Timbers. It’s a great family ride. In fact, my family was just talking about this, saying it’s “the perfect ride” because parents can ride it with their kids while enthusiasts still love it. I agree there are still some things needed (a wild mouse or spinning coaster would be perfect imo) but for the time being, an intense coaster is needed. Whether it be a giga or a blitz, KI needs intensity. (I’d love something like helix that takes advantage of the terrain. KI seems like a great park for a Mack) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

^To add on, today is a near perfect day to come. Everything is either a walk-on, station wait, or Mystic Timbers, which is probably 5 minutes. I walked all the way through Diamondback’s line right into second row without even stopping for the gate to open! (By the way Diamondback is hauling today!) Great day to come! Honestly they're just fun looping coasters. They are nothing special really but, at least in my opinion, I'd rather have a new B&M flourless that flips and whips me around than, say, an arrow looper. With Banshee though, this seems really unlikely imo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

^I too would love an RMC but I don't see one coming for a fairly long time. KI has an amazing collection of woodies so a custom wood is probably out (especially with MT) and I don't really see topper track coming to the park anytime soon. A custom I-box track coaster or a T-Rex seems most likely but I don't see either one of those coming with Vortex is still up and running. Honestly, either a giga or a multilaunch seems like the next likely coaster and if KI gets a multilaunch with a lot of inversion the RMC looks even less likely. I'd absolutely love an RMC but I don't foresee one within the next 10 years Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would not say EVERY major Cedar Fair park has a giga. Knotts Berry Farm has one of the highest incomes of parks in the chain but they do not have a giga. While I also believe KI will get a giga because it is a top park in the chain, I will restate what I've said before in here: "Kings Island doesn't NEED a giga." All the other parks (excluding CP) needs their giga to draw in the crowds they do. What would Carowinds be without Fury? How about KD without I305? CW with Levi would still draw major crowds but they wouldn't be nearly as big imo. Kings Island probably has the second best overall lineup of all Cedar Fair parks, if not the best (depending on what you personally enjoy). That's why they consistently draw some of the most crowds of any park even with only one coaster over 200'. While a giga would definitely increase crowds, it is not necessary. ^I believe I heard it was a falsely triggered sensor or something along those lines. Also, staying on the Labor Day theme but with a slight variation, does anybody know how busy Holiday World will be this weekend? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

On the giga topic, I would love for a treble clef like element because that thing is insane. In addition, some small ejector hills would be great with a large float-jector hill in there as well. The coolest thing though would be if a triple or quadruple down were in the lineup of elements. If you've been on Lightning Rod or Voyage (or any coaster with this element I'd assume. I've only been on these two) you know how crazy these elements are. You get thrown up and slammed down. Just imagining this with the comfortable clamshells of B&M hypers/gigas I get all giddy inside lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

^Thats the first time I've ever heard someone say it was rough! It's by far the smoothest wooden coaster I've been on, even surpassing Lightning Rod! I'm not trying to be snarky, I'm just really curious as to why you think it's rough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

^I'm the opposite. I love how whippy old inverts are, such as Afterburn, but Banshee is just... better. I think it's a mixture between how much bigger and longer Banshee is and how awesome the inversions are. Don't get me wrong, the batwing is phenomenal and all the inversions are forceful, but Banshee has a better mix imo and one of the best inversions in the world with that final inline twist Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

^I believe what was meant was that it may be better to get a coaster type (Invert in this case) after the company has mastered the design of it a bit more. The newer Banshee is better than the older Batman the Ride. So, going off this, since Kings Island is waiting on a giga, that giga should be better than the previous gigas, much like how most people believe Fury is better than Levi. This is just my interpretation on what was said Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There are two main things that I've seen people say on here about this: 1) Cedar Point and Kings Island are both Cedar Fair parks. They really don't care where the money goes as long as they get it. Plus if they add something bigger at KI it is more likely people will make a trip to both. 2) Though they are in the same state, KI and CP aren't really in the same market. Yes CP draws people from around here and KI draws from Sandusky but they are different markets. In fact, they might want to add a massive, "worlds tallest giga" to draw people from Holiday World and the new Kentucky Kingdom. What I'm trying to say is Cedar Fair will do whatever they need to to gain the largest profit. As seen this year, Mystic Timbers seemed to be the best option as it was more family oriented and drew larger crowds. While a giga will draw large crowds, the "Worlds tallest giga" is more likely to draw people from all over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

^Not confirmed though, unless I missed a HUGE announcement. I believe it'll be an RMC or B&M before Intamin tbh Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mack does look great but overall intamin > Mack. Give them 10 years and I could see them being comparable to the Intamin of today, but give Intamin 10 years and we might have 4 new roller coaster types. I'm not trying to bash Mack I'm just saying that intamin seems to have more forceful and fun rides and launches. A Mack multilaunch or hyper would be awesome at any park but an intamin blitz would be even better imo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

^Are you talking about I305 or Intimidator at Carowinds? If it's the latter, I have to strongly disagree. Fury was made for speed, intensity, and ejector airtime. Intimidator was made for floater airtime (which it doesn't really have imo). To me these rides couldn't be any more different. Fury is much more similar to Lightning Rod and even Mystic Timbers. In fact I'm more worried by a Kings Islands giga being similar to Mystic Timbers than Diamondback. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

^I believe Intamin at one pointed stated that safety was not a top priority or something along those lines. Not only that but they have reliability issues much more than most other manufacturers (except RMC with Lightning Rod but I think that's just an oddity due to the launch). Plus the accident on Shoot the Rapids did not help Intamin in the slightest. There's even more still with I305 needing its first turn reshaped and Maverick getting its inline twist removed. All this has added up to Intamin losing its building role (at least for the moment) in Cedar Fair. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Regardless, if/when KI gets a giga, it will most likely be B&M. They are very reliable and give good rides that most everyone loves. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Average crowds today. 20 minutes for Mystic Timbers Edit: I don't usually complain about workers placing people but I just asked for row 11 because it was empty and I got out in row 4 (single rider) and they let row 11 run empty. I get placing people but please place them correctly and don't have empty rows Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

^That surprises me because I honestly haven't seen stacking in a while and the last time I did see it was due to someone getting off the train as they didn't fit. The crew seems to have done amazing this year! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

^i agree intamin gives much higher thrill and intensity... for the most part. In my opinion, Fury absolutely crushes Millennium Force in everything. Fury just whips you up those banked turns giving you lateral airtime (which is great), not to mention the phenomenal ejector airtime. The drop is my second favorite (behind mavericks). Don't get me wrong, Millennium Force is a great coaster with a few pops of good ejector airtime, but I believe KI needs something more like Fury. The Beast fills Milles spot of big, forceful turns but nothing really covers powerful ejector mixed with floater. Yes I know Mystic Timbers does but tbh it's different. I can't really explain how but it is Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If anybody just wants to come and ride for a few hours this is the emptiest the parks been all year. Everything is a walk on and I got a whole beast train to myself Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Here right now and everything is less than 15 minutes. Diamondback is the longest at probably 15-20 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
