  1. If I had to pick one company in the industry that I would trust to do something like this and do it correctly it would be Disney.
  2. Rumor has it that the kids who run the Flight Deck purposely fudged the numbers in order to "get even" with the kids who run the Back Lot Stunt Coaster. Glad someone else noticed the conspiracy. Perhaps it's 3 train jealousy
  3. Almost on a weekly basis and just about everytime involved line jumping.
  4. Spoiler Alert!!! A lot more trees
  5. ^What exactly would you like to see on AE that you can't already see?
  6. Was this person by any chance trying to sell you Dippin' Dots?
  7. Are you assuming that "those in charge" don't already know this?
  8. Plue the the savings on parking cost and gas...
  9. Returner packets are usually sent out in early to mid-December. Starting the first of the year applications for seasonal positions (including lifeguards) are accepted and interviews begin. The HR department will accept seasonal job applications up through the last few weeks of operation in October. HR accepts resumes all months of the year for any open full time positions.
  10. Nothing like wasting valuable tax dollars by calling the cops on impatient diners. The owner of the diner, who also pays taxes (not to make this a political debate), would certainly disagree with you.
  11. Chances are they will save the part closest to FD for the off season so as to not disrupt operations of FD.
  12. Just remember that patience is a virtue. This girl sounds like she was trying her best to get the order right and obviously cared enough to keep checking back to be sure it was right. I have no problem with repeating my order to a food service worker if it will help my chances of receiving a correct order the first time. Notice that with the exception of the water, there was no mention of the order being wrong. For all we know this could have been this girls first day on the job, or first time working the register/window. Maybe she's not from Cincinnati and is working here for the summer so she wasn't familiar with what a coney was, how it was made, or what come on it. The point is that there are so many factors that John Q Public does not take into account when they have a situation like this come up. Unless you know the full story, don't be so quick to judge. Have a little patience people.
  13. That's exactly what they want you to think when you see a seat belt on a restraint.
  14. ^You are mostly correct... I can think of at least one ride at KI that has brakes (which are not trim brakes) that remain open at all times unless engaged for an emergency (including a power outage).
  15. No they don't. The trains won't move on a chain lift until power is restored.
  16. Sounds like the Dippin Dots Guy got sent to Flight Deck for a day
  17. 2 hours, really? What do you think they are going to let people walk the track and play in the tunnels? The 30 minutes given seems reasonable
  18. I think the closing of a competitor and the record heat has had a much larger impact on the attendance at SC this year than the actual expansion itself. Although I think we all would agree that the crowds would have been crazy in SC without the extra wave pool this year...talk about perfect timing.
  19. The only hang up I can see is that the park may not want to put another ride right on top of AE as they did with SOB.
  20. Are you sure about that? I know of many that have gotten free sunscreen at KI when they look in the right spot.
  21. What exactly are you bringing to the park that requires a locker all day?
  22. I've seen more rollbacks than I can count...along with some other interesting events involving BLSC (IJST) that I'll bet few on here have ever seen.
  23. Yes it has been there for a while now... The original policy was for riders in a wheelchair to wait in the regular line with everyone else. Once they got to the stairs they could page a ride op to come assist them with the chair lift and get into the saucer. After sometime it was decided that it would be easier and more efficient to have them go through the exit and get on through the rear of the station as they do today.
