  1. Great weather and short lines! I just got back to the states yesterday and had to head to the park. Loving this!
  2. 7-1 is where it's at. Proud member of the club.
  3. As a member of UC athletics I want to say thank you for your support!
  4. I hate that pov of The Beast. Their are no leaves on the trees which changes the experience greatly imo.
  5. See a Washington plate at KI and it is probably mine or my wife's car. Can't imagine there are too many.
  6. I am glad they are no longer allowing flip flops all over the station. A couple weeks ago I hopped out of my seat and my left foot landed on the edge of one of those thicker pair and I rolled my ankle. It was sore the rest of the day. Plus the station can be an absolute mess up there with pair strewn all over the station. They probably should have some small cubbies that allow for flip flops to be placed only. No other loose articles.
  7. Yeah the blue train always wins from what I've seen. Welcome to KIC and thanks for the trip report!
  8. Thanks for the tip! I will definitely partake on my next visit.
  9. The other area that could 'maybe' and that's a big maybe is somewhere between Seattle and Portland. Silverwoods in Idaho is not conducive to a day visit for either city without a hotel stay. Only issue is so many rainy days in April-June. July and August are actually not bad out there like most people assume.
  10. I had no idea the 5 dollar thing was an option. Usually wouldn't be need for it for me as I usually am only at the park a few hours. But we will be pulling an all day trip one day next month. Thanks for the heads up!
  11. I failed today. I got to the park after work and reached back for my clothes to change into. Yep, no socks! I went in several stores before finding a pair in the store next to Auntie Anne's along International Street. The store was called Peanuts something. They aren't very manly socks either but all you can see are the white at the top sticking out of my shoes. Lol
  12. They don't even make you have a souvenir cup from this season. I've personally witnessed people using souvenir cups from prior years multiple times. I assumed that you had to buy a new one each year, which I guess that was incorrect?
  13. Probably similar to what I saw at the Reds game yesterday in 519. Not sure what was wrong with the lady, maybe the heat, but i saw a bunch of first aid people go up the stairs, one carrying several cups of ice. They strapped her to a chair and lowered her down the stairs very carefully.
  14. I don't get the beer thing either. I mean if they take their kid to a UC, Bengals, or Reds game they are definitely going to see beer at the game in close proximity. Idk if eggs sells beer at Cintas.
  15. Lady in front of me appalled that her friend had never ridden The Beast claimed that the ride was built in 1950.
  16. I wish I had thought to count them back in my younger days. Same with number of rides on each coaster. I think I could come up with how many different coasters I've ridden but not how many times on each.
  17. Oh, lol. Thanks for the clarification.
  18. I get that, Portland traffic was way worse when I lived out there than Cincinnati's. I was just making mention of the traffic in this case because it took over an hour to get to the park which is highly unusual. I thought maybe someone else who was considering coming out might want the heads up.
  19. I'm on my 14th tonight. Took forever after work as 71 was backed up all the way to exit 19.
  20. I'm at 13 visits this year. I'll be out of town for a conference next week for work then to France for two weeks after that so I'll be feeling some withdrawals. Haha
  21. Thanks for the nice words. It's been a whirlwind for our family. The best meal I've had is the buffalo chicken salad at Reds HOF Grille. It's spicy and huge. FYI as a reminder to anyone reading this remember to tip based on what the amount would have been and not after the dining plan amount! I can easily see someone only tipping on the amount they paid for their drink. I also love the cheesesteak at the place in Rivertown by Diamondback. I forget the name.
  22. My wife has been out of town helping take care of her grandmother whose health has been deteriorating rapidly the last few months. In that time I have now been to the park 7 times. Haha, she has been giving me a bad time about it. But I have the dining plan and it's something to do to get out of the house. I think this is an addiction!
