Third Island Queen

Recommended Posts

So as I was digging into source materials for the series I’m writing, I came across images and diagrams for a Island Queen circa 1942.
Looking more into it, the radical differences in the design and engineering, one can only conclude it was for a new steamboat.

Anymore details about this design proposal?

So, the plans were designed by a local architect Paul G Hill, do survive and they are amazing.

This will be fun to recreate.

It would be so great to build.

It would be indeed. However, I’m curious what it’s center of gravity would have been fully loaded.

@westcoaster, here’s a look at the hurricane deck and ballroom of the Queen. It would have been similar to the second ship, but expanded.

You could say that. They had several at Coney.
