  1. Does your friend run a bulldozer, by any chance?

  2. Doesn't it say in the terms of service that any information stated as fact needs its source listed? I'd be very interested in hearing yours, what with this "assured" stuff.

  3. Or the friend was being kindly denied a job at Kings Island. "And you... You can be a shift leader at Son of Beast!" "Gasp! Really? Even though it's my first year?" "Of course. We'll see you in the spring!"

  5. And the fans there are very dedicated. Terp, good friend of a founder of that particular site.

  6. And just how long should it be until the final breaks? How long until the final breaks for Son of Beast? Has The Crypt seen its final breaks? Terp, who deserves final brakes, to get him to stop. Editing is a difficult thing, and people bark at you if you don't get all the paws right.

  7. I'd like for them to add an Eagles ride so once everyone on here that voted for it gets what they wanted, they can come complain about the capacity and wait time.

  8. That was the year I graduated (2nd best summer ever!) I remember all the hype being not only about the six inversions, but the height of the lift hill (don't have it memorized, but something in excess of 120 feet, which was a 'wow' back then). I was on my way to Air Force basic training, and stayed at the then-Holiday Inn across I-75 from Downtown Cincnnati, and was on the 12th floor, looking out a window, and I told some dude standing there something like, "Man, if that new Vortex is over 120 feet tall, this is about how high the first drop is supposed to be!" Didn't ride it until years later. I never go without my 3-ride-per-trip quota ever since. Happy Birthday, O Steel One!

  11. Some might also look at the Kings Island of recent and imagine the real slogan to be: "Why fix it if it is broke?"

  12. Couple of thoughts: 1) A birdy told me that many of the Fast Lane predictions that many of you have made are correct. 2) If anyone wants to bet that The Crypt will run ever again, I want in on the bet. 3) You'll see more media stuff coming out of KI in the next several months. This will both me entertaining and will make KI a more guest-friendly place. Exciting time to be a fan!

  14. Great idea and an even greater job with the retake of these pictures, they look awesome. I was a teenager back when the park opened so I was not thinking about pictures back then and it is nice to see what I missed as well as what has changed. I myself just came across old Cp photos my parents took from the mid 70's and may try to do the same thing next year. Keep the pictures coming.

  15. I had the most amazing dream last night. It was a version of a favorite and somewhat forgotten memory from my childhood. The thing I remember most about our first trip to KI was walking through the covered walkway and words cannot describe how magical it was. J.D. you brought back parts of one of my most cherished memories. Very cool and very much appreciated. I had lunch with dad today and it was a neat thing to have on my mind, especially considering the topics of discussion... Mant Thanks DAvid

  16. So many wonderful pictures. I do wonder if any of the old arched wooden bridges over the creeks will be featured. I do miss them so.
