  1. i bought 1 all season funpix for KI and one for CP. You can add however many photos you want to it. I don't have a ride photo of my self yet but a good dozen or so ride photos of my boys on my account. I have even added some photos that are mostly other people but did include a shot of one of my boys. Technically you could stand there at the kiosk and add a photo of some hot chick you don't know. Realize the digital photo you receive is only 300dpi and is meant for online sharing and is not great for printing. If you want a quality photo you can order it at the booth or online later.
  2. ^ I think it is the time of year. The base room price is $149 for the 11th. That does include ERT and SC. I will keep checking things out. I also just remembered my mom is visiting for Halloween and may enjoy going to KI to see the sights. i have a sister that lives in Paris and mom has been in the really Eifel Tower a couple of times so she might enjoy that. That would be another oportunity for my wife to use her pass if I get one. My wife has a lot of concerts, promotions and vacations to cover in the summer and can be difficult to schedule more than an afternoon off.
  3. There are even online photo editors if you don't have one or know how to use it. Just google "online photo editor". Upload and select your desired finished size. Easy peasy.
  4. So my boys decided to try cheese on a stick at CP yesterday. They said it was gross, so I took a bite. It was. What are they using, American cheese? "Cheese food product" ? They thought it would be like a big mozzarella cheese stick.
  5. No I didn't want to waste the time as it can be hard finding my size even at Walmart. It was a pleasant day and I was able to find a some shady spots so I just people watched, read on the phone and even got a bit of nap in. when we headed over there we intitially just planned for an hour but they were having fun so we stayed until 6. I think we will do KI next week and are thinking about an overnight stay the 11-12 for my youngest's birthday. Now I am trying to figure out where to stay and what kind of ticket pass to get my wife. The boys and I have platinum, but to take advantage of Soak City and ERT we need to get her one and stay offsite or stay at a CF property and get daily admission for her. Either way will cost a lot. I am leaning toward just getting her a platinum and getting a $80 room, that way we might be able to bring her for day trip or two to KI in the fall as well.
  6. All went great yesterday other than my wife called an hour after we left to inform me I dropped my swim suit on the front porch. The boys did not settle down to sleep early enough We'd night so they were very slow moving in the morning so we didn't arrive until 9:30 but they still got a nearly empty train on Magnum. Then moved on to Maverik, TTD, Corkscrew, WT, Dodgems then Gatekeeper. At that point they were coastered out so we moved to SC. It was 2 and everything was turned off for some reason but they said it would start back up soon and we stayed until about 6. SC was the perfect parking place as we were only about 2 rows back. No need for a locker! Security bag checks and wands at both the dry and wet entrances. With all the crap going on in the world I think this is here to stay. Everyone should love this. I asked my oldest what he though of Corkscrew and the word he used was "demeaning".
  7. I have only had on ride on the flume here but it seemed clear to me there is something wrong with it. Not sure what is happening but it was extremely bumpy, like the logs were riding on the bottom and not really floating well. The flume at SFSTL was built in 1972 and doesn't have this issue and the equipment seems similar. Has anyone else experienced this?
  8. Removed no. Replaced yes. I can think of one in a warehouse somewhere near.
  9. I haven't really give many a chance. I was able to do WWC just barely by straddling two seats and of course the log flume. My boys have some sensory issues so we are done after 4-5 hours and have not even finished all the coasters once through at KI and CP yet. We do take advantage of the Boarding Pass program. I have a couple of posts about that in the ASD thread recently. We come from SFSTL so these OH mega parks are a new experience for us. Still lots of Summer left. KI and SC once each and CP once last week. We are headed to CP in the morning to give the top half of the park a go.
  10. Umm No. This isn't CP or SF. They won't get rid of two extremely popular family rides just for another coaster no matter how awsome it is. A major park without a train and Rapids ride? Not gonna happen. Reminds me of the yahoos with their "Coal Rollers".
  11. It will be awesome! Remember back when your boys were at 8 months old and they would just start giggling and laughing and their whole body would be bouncing to it? Those were the best of times. Seeing your boys come bouncing out of the the exit with a huge smile yelling, "Mom, I did it!!!" Well, that's as close to the same feeling you will ever get.
  12. How can I add pictures?? I am not sure about this sites preferred method of posting pics but you should be able to use any photo sharing site like imgur, flicker, photobucket etc and post a link here. It will get the job done. This is what I have to say. If not being able to get on some or many of the rides will result in shame or any negative emotional issues for you then maybe it is not worth it. As I said The Bat is the only coaster I fit on but the joy of seeing my two boys have a great time far out weighs any negativity I experience. For me seeing the fun I am missing out is an excellent motivator to get to a more healthy weight, for others it may not. I know I will be ready next season. If you go Into it with a positive attitude and believe you will have fun no matter what, you will have fun.
  13. I have a 50" chest and can ride The Bat so there will be at least one coaster you will be fine on.
  14. Thanks a ton! That's kind of what it looked like to me but I couldn't tell if that route went inside SC first and it opens an hour later. Looks like a perfect plan for the day now.
  15. Thanks. I am assuming the SC lot is the best place to park since we are not staying at the hotel. I am having a little trouble figuring out how to get from the lot to the entrance looking at Google maps. Do we walk on perimeter road or go around challenge park and under Magnum? There looks to be some sort of tunnel under Perimeter road that leads to the entrance. The cartoon map is not helping me much.
  16. The boys and I are headed up to CP in the morning with the goal of getting there for by 9 for ERT and probably finishing out the day with a bit of time at Soak City early to mid afternnoon for some lazy river time. That will require us to get out the door by 6:30, not sure how realistic that is. Can we park in the Soak City lot that early and then enter the park from the resort entrance? Our plan is to mostly stay at the top NW side of the park this time, last week we only made it as far up as MF.
  17. Did you say Cardinals? I Haven't check the central standings recently.
  18. An axe would be used to hollow out a log from a fallen tree. Just sayin.
  19. @teenageninja what do you mean by thickness of shoulders (depth or width) ? How is that measured? @mr. Coastermania The walk of shame doesn't bother me personally, what does bother me is holding up the line. I know it may only be a minute but if every train had someone seeing if they can squeeze in that adds up. I am 5-11 and at 230 coasters were tight but I fit, at 260 if I did fit I could barely breathe. I can ride The Bat at KI but I think that is about it right now. 315 lbs, 50" chest, 56" waist. But I am down 15lbs. Alchohol is what always stalls out weight loss for me.
  20. I did accidentally swallow a bug while jogging this evening... You jog at CP?
  21. ^visitkingsisland.com will have the most accurate information.
  22. I will give you one as well. And one in the nuts as well. Last week was my first CP trip and all I rode was the skyway. Watching my boys ride a bunch of coasters while I just stand there and sweat is excellent motivation to stick to the plan. The should give us big guys a "Have Mercy" pass and let us marathon the the thing. @existential. All good man. We do this to ourselves. I actually get just as much joy watching my boys ride as I would if I rode myself.
  23. "Protein spill". Never heard that one before. Love it.
