  1. That and people were probably speculating that it was going to be a huge project replacing SoB. I think a lot of people think this project is going to be more on the medium size scale. If people really thought this was going to be a record breaking giga or something, this site would be blowing up. Personally, I prefer a project in Rivertown over any other part of the park, so I am hyped.
  2. I'm going to stick to Sasquatch as the name. Washington state has the biggest logging company in America and Washington has the most Bigfoot sightings. Logging and Bigfoot/Sasquatch go together like ham and cheese.
  3. I wouldn't even mind the name "Beastie" of it wasn't for the fact that it has been used on a KI kiddie coaster. I think it would be neat to tie this coaster in with The Beast.

  5. That would be cool, but I would still like the big log flume back even more. It's practically made for the rivertown section. What was the old log flume called back where the crypt was? Kenton's Cove Keelboat Canal Here's a thread all about it: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/10502-kentons-cove-keelboat-canal-topic/ Hard to get good pictures of it. Every time I clicked a link it showed a different ride.

  7. Let's start with learning to use the edit button. ?? Combine your three posts into one if you are talking about same subject.
  8. Banshee was a trademark filed opening day 2013 by Kings Island So you are saying everybody knew? Was it absolutely certain that the trademark was related to the coaster going in?
  9. Did the Banshee name get leaked before the announcement? Any chance this name gets leaked?
  10. When I think "cat", jungles or plains come to mind more than wooded areas.
  11. You know Sasquatch can definitely knock down some branches and it always seems to be sighted in the most timber/lumberjack type areas. I would think a coaster called Sasquatch would have to be huge though. There is a Sasquatch Drop Tower, but not a coaster.
  12. Saw a horror movie called Wendigo a long time ago. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0275067/ 63 metascore. Not a good omen. I seriously doubt the coaster is called Wendigo. Most people don't know about it and it doesn't sound menacing enough. Sounds like a Wendy's restaurant shuttle bus service....

  14. No way in **** will they name this coaster anything to do with SoB imo. Not with all the problems and injuries it caused and its overall reputation.
  15. The Beast in one part of the woods and Bigfoot in another. I like it! ha!
  16. I would suspect this attraction will not be animal or creature themed - rather themed to logging, foliage, trees, etc. Think Timber Falls, Loggers Run, etc. I came up with Timber Falls as the name over a month or two ago. Right after I saw the "watch for falling trees" on the fence barrier. It's not a competition ;-) I expect KI came up with whatever the *actual* name is long before either of us made up one ;-) Right on. Just saying I've been posting that name as my guess on people's youtube videos for a long time. When people were suggesting the coaster was going to be called Son of Beast 2.0 and other ridiculous stuff:)

  18. Seems like they had the space the make this coaster super long if they wanted to. I mean they could have curved this thing towards the east and way back behind DB. I would assume they are just wanting to keep their costs down somewhat with a mid size coaster before they go really big again in 2-3 years. Maybe this is short and super intense.
  19. You may very well be right I have no clue, but then where does HW draw their patrons from? I hear they are marketing heavily in St. Louis and it is about the same distance. Um....maybe Indiana? haha Are you guys telling me Holiday World doesn't run commercials in Ohio? If they don't they are really dropping the ball. I see commercials all the time here in central Indiana even though it's probably a farther drive to HW than to KI from Noblesville. (just north of Indy)
  20. Exactly, and they ended up being used for a retaining wall. LOL!
  21. Nothing on his twitter posts confirms RMC. He's speculating like the rest of us.
  22. Yeah ...they probably really got a kick out of my whole proposed train route going by The Beast. ha!
