I can't wait for the testing to start either but I would much rather have opening day come.

That is alot of money considering the tour is only 8 hours and you can't do rerides like the same ride back to back but just think about all the rides you would be able to get on. I am not sure but I also think you can't get the preium seats on the coasters like the front seat or very back.

I actaully think this will help Kings Island with many families not taking that Flordia trip and would be more likely to make a few visits to the local amusement park. I for one haven't really felt the effects of the poor economny yet and hopefully never will but I have been helping others that have. Hopefully things will start to change soon.

Take 2 days at the park and ride all the rides. You dont want to miss any hidden gems and you want to be able to take your time at the park and not have to worry about a broken ride ect... I learned from experience never count on a ride to be open and plan an extra day at the park if you can. You will have much more fun that way.

I dont really eat candy. I am a meat man. Nothing beats a great american hamburger.

I have only boughten one on ride photo from the park and that was on my first ride on Son of Beast.

Its an Elephant Ear. I never ate one at the park so I am not sure where to get them or how much they are. They are very good!

^ As long as the ride is open (which Firehawk wasnt) and moving fast I don't mind. I think I wanted 5 hours for Firehawk and maybe 20-30 minutes of that the ride was open on opening day. If you get there early and there are no problems with the ride I dont see whyh you would need to wait more 2-3 hours.

^ Same here. It seems to be just in another world and with Diamondback if anything is in the way it will be trampled. I plan on getting to the park nice and early but I am not running to the ride. One the gate drops I will walk ot the ride and glady wait whatever line meets me there. I have a season pass (I don't want to wait 4 hours) I dont mind wasting a day to ride it. I am sure I will have many other times to ride it with less than average wait so it will even out! Nothing like riding a new coaster for the first time.

Cool trip report I never seen the campground beings I live about 25 minutes away I never had a reason to stay over night but it looiks like it would be a good place to stay if your into the outdoors. Did it have a fishing lake?

Update the entracne to look like KDs. Add a B&M inverted maybe by the Firehawk some where. A new wooden coaster that is rideable. Remove Son of Beast and a floorless coaster that follows the terrian and a small steel twister coaster like Maverick. Change some of the food options and then I would say the park is complete! Do something with long walks to the car. They could have personal buggies have about 15-20 of them and only run them near closing and charge $5 a ride/per car or something. They could make money again by giving people rides to there car. Of couse if you were to pay an extra $5 you might as well get prefered parking. THose days of walking around KI sitting down in the car is a real treat!

I think testing is only about two weeks away. About 8-9 more weeks and we will be on Diamondback. Seems like a long time but I am sure the time will fly and DB team is probaly starting to get a little more pressure getting the project done on time.

I am wondering how Diamondback is going to effect the shows going on at IESP. I mean roller coasters are pretty noisy and its awfully close to the building.

Maybe from the looks out my office window it appears to be a nice day out.

When the Raptors line is full its more than 45 minutes to an hour. Its about a 90 minute wait! The line is huge and I bet it holds about 1500-1800 people.

Dude its lines are like the stock market. Unpredictable. Could be a weekend nice day and short lines while a raining weekday could be packed!!!!

^^ I usually go to Cedar Point twice a year. Its a pretty fun park. Sad thing is man as much as I love roller coasters and theme parks I have only been to Geagua Lake, Cedar Point, Kings Island, Coney Island, Striker Groove, and Universal Studios Flordia. Very sad I know!

There are coasters with better accelration than TTD. Its called compressed air. 0-80 in 2 seconds is about what compressed air can do. (Hyper Sonic) Now TTD is 0-120 in 4.2 seconds. If you double the time air can get you to 160 in 4 seconds which means air is more forcefull than TTDs launch.
