  1. Fun TV is okay, but it gets boring. I want the queue to be turned into a dance party for night rides. I also thought that they could run blacklight through the station and at night, they turn the station and lights into blacklights to get the riders pumped up. Like look at Bowling Alleys where they have the regular lights on and then they turn them off and the blacklights come on. I think that would be perfect for night time on Power Force or whatever they will name the giga (if KI gets one).
  2. I wish Cedar Fair could go back to having a DJ in the queue lines like on Magnum XL-200. I think it would be perfect for a giga coaster at night to get people pumped to ride.
  3. We didn't get a giga in 2014 because Fury was already planned for the next year. An invert was also much more needed first. They went with a GCI because the park just spent $24 million on Banshee and they wouldn't break that investment just 3 years later. It also was a much needed addition since it provides a new wooden experience to the park and gives something more families could enjoy together. An invert was actually heavily rumored for the park back in the early 2000s/late 90s. Anyways, I never said "it would" reuse the Son of Beast station since I'm like 90% guaranteed it won't due to how the park likes to spruce up areas of the park with new coasters. I said that "if it was my decision. Like I was the park owner." I would put it in SOB station to 1) help with foot traffic to The Bat and 2) to give more nods to the past attraction with the station. Right now, I say Coney Mall makes sense. They could give it a theme to go along with the Coney Mall area. Like I was thinking something like Shooting Star to give nods to the old Coney island coaster.
  4. That's why it's called a rumor. When there is no hints or anything, all we can do is speculate. Like saying that it may reuse the SOB station is called speculation. Our giga could be something like fury, a 300+ foot tall RMC woodie or Trex, a 300+ foot tall Mack, a poler coaster around the Eiffel Tower or never happening. We just don't know. The park tries to keep their future plans under raps and sometimes things do get out. I'm just saying that 2021 is just a rumor. There are still people saying that it's happening next year even though that there has been no teasing by the park or land clearing, there are people still saying it's going to be next year. Other rumors I've heard is 2020. I've also heard the 50th anniversary in 2022. My prediction right now is 2021, but that may change with time. Yes, SOB's station isn't the best station for a coaster, but Cedar Fair has turned a very ugly station into a good station. Twisted Timbers imo has a way better station than Hurler did. I do see it in Xbase or Coney Mall, but if KI were to surprise us and put it in the old SOB station, I wouldn't complain.
  5. I was on Banshee the other day and looked at the old station for SOB while on the break run and I thought there was plenty of room for a quick turn out of the station for the lift hill to go over bat's turn around. Even though that Coney Mall or Xbase makes more sense to me, I wouldn't rule out that station 100% since last May, I saw a post on Instagram about men in suits with an ipad, camera, and clipboard looking at SOB's station (who are believed to be Cedar Fair people.) Which either one of two things were happening. Either they are planning for a new haunted house (which makes sense to me.) Or they were surveying the station to see how a new coaster (probably giga) would fit there. Since the rumor is 2021 for the new ride. I know that it takes at least three years to plan a coaster so maybe they were starting to plan by surveying the station. But imo, it'll be in Coney Mall or Xbase. Although, I wouldn't freak out if it was put in the SOB station to give nods to the massive woodie. @KI FANATIC 37 nice profile pictice by the way. Go Cats!
  6. Diamondback's drop is basically in the guest walking areas, but again, I was just playing around. If I could put a giga in any spot, I would put it in the old SOB station to give nods to SOB and it would have the drop facing GWL.
  7. I was just playing around with the picture editing thing. I was talking with Brian Neal on a Sunday and he mentioned an idea on having the coaster go over Coney Mall and use the empty space from Backlot Stunt Coaster. I personally don't find it likely, but we might be surprised. I'm surprised where they put both Diamondback and Mystic Timbers.
  8. Having fun putting gigas in spots that most likely won't happen.
  9. Beast-Revenge! Coming to Kings Island in 2021 as the world's first giga-hybrid at 308 feet going at speeds at 93 mph with a 90 degree drop and the fastest inversion in the world with the 112 foot tall dive loop! Located By Racer's turn around using the old action theatre as a station and queuing area! Due to the high intensity of this ride, riders must be at least 52 inches tall to ride!
  10. Never in a million years! RMCing Beast would be the worst thing to occur in the amusement industry!
  11. I don't see another coaster until at least 2021. I think we are going to get a flat ride package similar to what Carowinds did in 2017. Mystic Timbers was actually needed because it provides a new wooden experience to the park and gives something more families could enjoy together. Banshee was needed because the park was lacking a good invert. Looking at what @Grobble said, I think we are going to get a flat ride package to help out our not so good flat ride collection. I also think a good dark ride is on it's way in the near future since Boo Blasters is more of a kiddy dark ride. I think something like Voyage to the Iron Reef would be a great fit. I definitely see them expanding Planet Snoopy as well since KI will want to keep the title as the best kids area. Our next coaster imo would be a giga in the left corner of Action Zone replacing Congo Falls and Invertigo going near the front entrance. Imo, if they don't break records with this giga, it would still bring a ton of people to the park since the idea of dropping 300+ feet at over 90 mph really catches the GP's eye. ROI is a big key and a giga would bring in more people. Yes, KI does get crazy attendance, but a giga would really spike attendance. Also, a B&M giga would be great for the large crowds since they are people eaters. Look at Fury and Leviathan, those are great people eaters. Again, I see flat rides, a dark ride, a kids area expansion, and then a giga.
  12. Saw this get released by IDesign today! Remember we were talking about a Mack giga? Here you all go! What if this happens!
  13. It's a joke. We are getting a new furnace and air conditioner.
  14. Construction at my house! GIGA CONFIRMED!
  15. Congrats! We are getting a giga with piped track!!
  16. My theory on why they just got a new restaurant this year and why they aren't getting a new coaster next year is that they needed a smaller investment to help pay off Mystic Timbers and Banshee. Banshee is like around $15 and Banshee was $24. Put them together, Kings Island has $39 Million to pay off their last two big investments. Which I'm sure Banshee is like more than half way paid off right now. Which fits with my theory on why they didn't get a giga in 2017 which was because they wanted a cheaper coaster so that they can help pay off Banshee. I could be way off, but this is just my theory. Once Banshee and MT are paid off, we could look for a massive investment (giga imo). 2020 or 2021 are my two guesses for the grand opening year of the KI fanboy wet dream. 2021 is more likely imo.
  17. I know this video has been posted earlier, but imo the song in this video would make a great soundtrack in the station and queue.
  18. I think Spirit Song likes it being held in the middle of summer since thats when a lot of kids are out of school so families and even youth groups can go. I used to go to Spirit Song with my old youth group and I can tell you that holding it in the summer helps with the attendance of the event.
  19. Spirit Song is held during the summer for a few days and there are concerts throughout the day. So it wouldn't work in Soak City.
  20. Never in a million years would they relocate Maverick to Kings Island. They won't do that either. I hope this is a joke. They would have to build a new ampitheatre so that they can continue to host Spirit Song. Or they could make Spirit Song similar to Rock The World at Holiday World where people can set up a blanket in the grass back behind Banshee and Bat and they can set up a stage so that they can still do the acts and stuff. If Holiday World can do it, so can KI.
  21. Kings Island actually owns the land GWL sits on. They can build close to it if they wanted since they own the land. I think if they removed Timberwolf, they would build a new and improved theatre behind Banshee so that they can still host Spiritsong and music in the parks.
  22. ^^Or Don Helbig goes to the trolling section of the tractor store and buys a lift to troll enthusiasts with to think a giga is coming.
  23. That lift has always been there. Although, I have heard rumors swirling around that this is the last season for Invertigo. If Invertigo were to leave, then congo falls will probably end up going as well. Fun Fact: I actually know the guy who ran the crane for both Invertigo and WindSeeker!
  24. Now back on the giga topic, I found this giga Planet Coaster concept of a giga in Xbase. I'm not a big fan of the name, it's more six flags. If ki we're to get a giga in Xbase, I would call it power force if I were them. This is imo one of the best Planet Coaster concepts.
  25. I don't think we're getting it for the 50th. I think 2021 is our year. Parks don't tend to celebrate anniversaries with big new attractions.
