  1. We don't have pockets that work well for holding phones, be interesting to see how they would handle the "no loose articles" policy and needing a phone to scan into a queue. Guess for $29.95 each we can get a band for queuing.
  2. Any word on how much these types of systems drain a phone battery? Just looking at the Accesso website, looks like it could us FL option.
  3. Hoping for some type of update. We're out of state so it will be heavily influenced by the travel restrictions i.e. 14 days quarantine they expect at the moment.
  4. Do they have to have a ride inspector there during testing?
  5. I haven't heard of the hotel canceling on people in June yet. Mine isn't until July. Last I read was minimum 2-3 weeks notice to open. Would they get non-public communication on when they can open since they're on the committee?
  6. With the theory outdoor spread is less prevalent than indoor, they could probably do the same as Shanghai and skip every other row for the queue. It does make me wonder how CF would handle grouping on rides. If they do every other row it would split parties larger than 2 for many coasters. Wonder it they could put them all in behind each other then skip a row.
  7. Temp screening for guests, masks recommended but not required. I noticed the aquatics section suggested closing attractions that require grouping.
  8. Sooo maybe everyone should get Grand Carnivale themed masks in case we need them
  9. Cedar Point Nights FB page replied that customer service is reaching out to group booking and resort hotel bookings. I'd be interested to hear of anyone that has had their hotel canceled and what date they had.
  10. CP *ouch* https://www.cedarpoint.com/park-update Our 150th Anniversary Celebration, along with its attractions and festivities such as the Snake River Expedition ride, Town Hall Museum and Celebrate 150 Spectacular immersive nighttime parade and show will be postponed to 2021. Our team determined that a celebration of this magnitude must be done right. In order to observe and respect social distancing, we have made the decision to postpone this much anticipated event until next season. Special events like Performances in the Park, Spring Youth & Education Programs, CoasterMania!, Frontier Festival, Coaster Campout, Run & Ride and Season Passholder Appreciation Weekend will be postponed to 2021. Experiences like VIP, Sunrise, Segway and Boardwalk Cruiser Tours will also be postponed until 2021.
  11. Disney Springs set to reopen May 20th with 3rd party stores opening. Appropriate face coverings for CMs and guests https://www.disneysprings.com/reopening/
  12. I just mentioned to my husband yesterday if things start looking better towards opening, I'm tempted to put in vacation requests for every Thursday & Friday in June and cancel if they don't open. Same for hotels since most are 24hr notice without penalty.
  13. It's interesting they also mentioned full time employees have been kept on payroll to be better prepared to open if the opportunity becomes available this year.
  14. If the virtual queue cut down on in line wait I'd be all for it. Heavily pushing the daily or seasonal dining could reduce their cashless transactions even more with the right spin on it.
  15. Depends how far in advance we can reserve. Don't live close enough for a 1 day visit without a hotel stay which automatically means 2 days for us. I have to give 30 day notice for work vacation so trying to balance both could be a bit frustrating.
  16. I've been keeping an eye on the Diamondback "splashdown" for signs of being filled.
  17. It'll be interesting to see if CF does anything like this. I'm not aware of any Six Flags owned hotels, but obviously CF has some as well as Disney. If they require a reservation for park entrance they risk losing bookings unless those people are granted automatic entry.
  18. Hopefully it's multiple days, we do Friday-Sunday visits due to distance. Wouldn't be worth 1 day for us.
  19. We've had 1 confirmed arson and 2 more "suspicious" fires in homes or buildings without power over 4 days in town. It's surprising the person hasn't been caught yet. There less angry
  20. I believe there are some that saw the stay at home order expired, but didn't understand that it had been replaced with phase 1 which is limited to essential travel until May 4th. It hasn't had much difference in my neighborhood.
  21. Interesting tidbit on the FAQs for Holiday World. They may have to borrow trains from other coasters to run Voyage. Wonder if any of KI maintenance done outside the park that could effect their operations as well.
  22. It could also be the larger cities got the resources to test earlier than other areas and rolled out testing to asymptotic people sooner. Our county only has around 50k, still requires hospital admission to test due to availability. 163 confirmed cases, 1 death out of 654 tests performed.
  23. Personally don't feel the CF would do away with restraint checks simply due to the liability it opens them up to. Every ride has someone who has never been on it before and may not know the proper secure position. And sensors can fail, IMO they should not by solely relied on to ensure safety. Just think of FoF and how many people have an instant of panic they can't find the other half of the seat belt. As a parent I rely on my 11yo to properly have her restraint on now, but younger she had to be shown or corrected. Heck I've been at the local fair when they did not do restraint checks. Rides have had to be stopped because of children sliding around without a belt on. It's not fun and parents lose their heads quickly. Imagine 1 instance of that with a much more profitable place and people will see $$$.
