Look how Cedar Fair has treated other parks. KI for example, got a "lackluster" giga so it couldn't surpass Cedar Point, Canadas Wonderland got a lackluster giga so Mille could be better, Kings Dominions RMC wasn't nowhere near as big as SteVe so Cedar Points can be king, KI always has gotten 'OK" additions since Cedar Fair has purchased them from Paramount. They want Cedar Point to be the top park and now that Cedar Fair management is in charge with this merger, they're going to do whatever it takes to keep Cedar Point king. Even if it includes Demo-ing Ka. Also, for example, Cedar Point is getting ANOTHER new coaster AGAIN for what, 3 or 4 years in a row? Complete crap. They want Cedar Point as the flagship and they're going to do what it takes to ensure it stays the flagship. Man I HATE Cedar Fair.

If the Crypt building ends up being demo'd, I'd buy the eye off the triangle of light door in a heartbeat. LOL. (I hope you all know I'm not kidding) But The Vortex plot, for the love of everything DO NOT put a family ride in there. That would be a HUGE slap to the face to everyone.

With Cedar Fair calling the shots Cedar Point has to stay the king, not Great Adventure. Ka was taller and faster than TT2 so removing it makes perfect sense to keep Cedar Point the king. This is exactly why I hate Cedar Fair's guts. All the other parks get crap and Cedar Point gets everything.

Gerstlauer Infinity that breaks the inversion record is the best way to replace Vortex. It's the modern equivalent of it. And in the same beautiful blue and orange color scheme. But an RMC or an incredible launch coaster would be amazing as well. Same with the flyer. I swear if they put a family ride in Vortex's plot or the Tomb Raider building I'll never go back.

I can bet though its not going to be anything good. KK is my actual home park and I live right down the road from it. It hasn't gotten anything good since 2019. Lol. We'll see though......... That "major investment" is probably going to be more shows or something. Not a flat ride/rollercoaster.

Herschend hasnt given KK anything at all so far and its been what, 3 seasons already? Under Hart it was growing fast. I'm pretty sure KK is going to be the next Wild Adventures where it gets ignored in favor of the larger Herschend parks. Hart had KK thriving. HFE hasn't done jack crap for KK and its been 3 years now. It's not looking good.

Its probably going to be another show or something. Kentucky Kingdom cant thrive without Ed Hart.

A family coaster in the crypt building OR The Vortex plot is an epic failure. The crypt building needs an intense, inverting flat in there. (If they remove the triangle of light door I'd buy a piece of it in a heartbeat or a piece of Shiva off the wall) That Vortex plot needs the inversion record. Its what it was built for. (Well, actually a suspended coaster that later ended up being demoed and replaced with the inversion record) If they put a family ride in either of these two plots, I'm revoking my pass permanently.

Where is the Crypt one?

No it doesn't, and I was wrong on that. Thats my fault. Could a madhouse potentially be modified with different restraints so it could invert? Because that sounds absolutely incredible if it would be possible. A madhouse though does sound a bit like a maintenance nightmare due to the complexity of the design. But who knows, maybe it could work. If that building has to be modified and any theming has to be removed, I wonder if they'd scrap it or not. If your wondering, yes, I'd be insane enough to buy a piece of that TR:TR theming. LOL.

I rode the madhouse at SFNE a few years ago and didn't care for it at all. It just didn't do much for me, just wasn't my cup of tea. I'm a sucker for ultra intense experiences. (Except 2008 Crypt) Lol. Yeah, I just want the original ride back, or something as close as possible, even the ferris wheel in a box Crypt. But a madhouse would be better than the 08 Crypt, I'll admit that. That was scary. And not in a good way either. I just want something intense and incredible back in there and a madhouse just wouldn't fit the bill. I don't know what else would work though. Make the madhouse invert completely with lap bars!!!! Lol. That would be insane!! Probably would be impossible though. If they do have to modifiy the building, I wonder what would have to be done to it. Would any theming have to be removed? Because a madhouse seems like it would take up more space than the giant top spin.

Exactly. The problematic hydraulic launch combined with the fact that Cedar Fair now runs the Six flags parks when Cedar Point has Top Thrill 2 makes me seriously wonder if that Ka was being axe'd because A: The problems with the hydraulic launch and the maintenance nightmare and B: So that Cedar Point can still be the king, so that they can have the tallest and fastest coaster in North America, not Great Adventure. It keeps Cedar Point the king and it cuts maintenance costs due to the costly hydraulic launch. Its a win win for Cedar Fair. Cedar Point will always be the golden child and Ka's removal will keep that true. This is exactly why I despise Cedar Fair.

No it's not. They're going to do what it takes to keep Cedar Point king with Cedar Fair in charge. If that requires removing Ka to keep Cedar Point ahead, then I'm not gonna lie, I could see that being the reason why besides the maintenance issues. Just so Top Thrill 2 can be king, not Kingda Ka. Especially after seeing how Cedar Fair has given KI "budget" options compared to Cedar Point.

Ka's coming down from what ElToroRyan and Coaster Studios have said. I seriously think that besides the maintenance headache, its because they dont want KA surpassing TT2 so Cedar Point can still be king with Cedar Fair in charge. All they care about is Cedar Point, noone else. I hope they'll sell pieces of its track like KI did with Vortex. I'd snag one in a heartbeat. Long live the king. RIP Kingda Ka.

your making me laugh when you mention herschend and KK. Herschend doesn't care about KK a bit from what I've noticed. I'm starting to think that Kentucky Kingdom cannot thrive without Ed Hart sadly. But yeah, it's KI's turn for a new coaster. I wish they'd go for the inversion record in Vortex's plot. And stick a batwing right in the same place where Vortex's was. Lol. And make it deep blue/orange.

Maybe....... just because Cedar Fair is in charge with this merger....... they don't want Ka surpassing Cedar Points TT2. So that way Cedar Point can be the flagship park still. (Besides the maintenance and technical issues the ride has been plauged with) With how Cedar Fair treats the parks, this wouldn't surprise me at all. Keep Cedar Point the king. Just like how KI got Orion that was 287 feet tall because they didn't want it overshadowing Cedar Point. Dang you Cedar Fair. They don't like anyone but Cedar Point. Lol. (Just kidding, but it seems like Cedar Point gets the best additions always while the other parks get "less impressive" additions. )

If they take the box down, I want a piece of that triangle of light door as memorabilia............................... Or a bolt or something off the TR seats sitting in FOF's building...... LOL. I'd buy it. I hope you all know I'm not kidding.
