Bisch Rocco is correct, and they snap with lighter, faster models, number of tubs is irrelevant, they can all snap, even the Holiday World ones did, before they slowed them down just before teh 2001 season, they get slower every year it seems, but now that it has the airbox and new computer, it should be fine... still no snap, unless you get a mega breeze and you are seriously working them! ask snapper... a new set of scooters is not out of the question in my view... but yes a B&M anything themed or not would be excellent, but you need to have something making it not blah, like at least Beast has the old building look, and the "beast" theme, what is SoB's? a nuclear reactor? warehouse? what? and you know, FoF is one, but it just has heavy theming before the ride, not during... so this would be okay themeing, so actually im leaning towards theming, Snapper, UH... Like Legend's Theming...

I agree. I was on a ride that I thought was pretty smooth, but other people who were on the same train actually were saying it hurt their neck. All you have to do is keep your shoulders on the back rest, and keep your head slightly forward. Plus on the second hill, between the main drop and the helix, you kind of have to shift around. If you stay still youre going to get your ass kicked. You have to lean to the left, and the right a bunch of times really fast. I also think being tense has a lot to do with it. People get nervous that they are on such a big roller coaster, and get tense, and that makes it all the more worse. Like CYoung2003 said - you just have to know how to ride it. The way you ride a wood coaster is completely different from they way you would ride Vortex or Face/Off. Wood coasters are quite enjoyable if you know what you are doing! 7, 7!? i know speed, height, loop. what else? most painful? roughest? heaviest trains? shoddiest structure? lowest satisfaction rating for the people who expect better, like The Racer or beast?

i might need to try it in this seat. ----- and actually klockster, i was not tense on it, its just that it hurt me! i try to rest my head back, no! i try to lean it forward, no! it kills me anytime i ride it, so maybe i need to give it a shot at the front row... if not, i will only ride it once per visit/season... due to my discomfort... ----- however i would ride face/off as many times as possible, pending no huge line, if it is one switchback, hu-uh... i may ride beast many times, pending it not flowing out the station, and FoF also , but not outside the building... tricks are good, anybody got any other tips like that??? like at raven, if you dont want to wait forever, wait till the line dies down to just to the porch, then get in line, but thats as far as i wait... any tips??? -----

however, the point of the grippy surface at Delirium is to GRIP! if you left a pair of flip flops on the floor, they would stay there, they would not move, they would just stay there, and not fall into the pit... plus! if that proved to be the case, just place them on the concrete just outside of the moving floor. -
are you insane? why not ride something smooth?

Can I get some praise for the most AWESOME ride in the universe? Son of Beast is by far the best ride at PKI. That said - I think its cool that Tremors! from Silverwood made it to number 4. That park is about three hours from where I used to live, in Bozeman, Montana, but I never went. It looks really cool though. If you want to see more about it - go to www.silverwoodthemepark.com. When I go out to visit my parents some time, I am going to swing by and ride thist totally B*TCHIN roller coaster! But I will proably still like SOB better. no way fanboy, you cannot love SoB! Eww! Wow! Its, OW! i never thought a coaster could be so rotten! how can you love it??? Raven is Love, Legend is Love, Beast is Great, Thunder Run is Great, Racer is Good, Son of Beast is Pain.

why not allow shoes to stay on the moving floor, that way, since it stops in the same place, the people wont be so defensive, plus, no smelly box, or make a shoe rack for shoes... or a shelf... -

hmm... -
i will add this, Beast is NICE, but as a "fanboy" to Raven and Legend, they rock, but i truly havent run across a better one... thunder run comes close, but is under beast, and above racer, but way above SoB... :-P

Just Hop on Legend at Night, try a "blue or early pink day, not purple", No Lines, Dark Night, you are lost! Legend and Raven, but also try the tower ride and swings, they might not be headliners, but they are great rides, with short waits... ...twelve at a time on LL, but hey, you dont wait long if you opt to go singles! just ask Snapper, or UH Never done screechin' eagle, hear it was awful, but eh, im used to my raven and legend riding... get on! sit down! ride!

Lemme guess....The 60 inch height requirement to drive the go karts at DOT? sorry, i never took the time to look, i thought to my self, pat out ass to drive fast car in laps? no, i'd rather just hop in car for same amount of money, and risk a ticket on interstate... lol it didnt even look that cool... -
They would be new cars not retrofit. I think if they was going to keep them they would have not removed them to start with. There is electric cars at other parks that have been there for years, like Kennywood. I think the rumor of them getting put back in is to keep people from complaining about the removal. well that sucks, why even keep the cars... behind racer, near the bungee thingy... behind zephyr... all are there, or were when i last visited during fear fest.

This Ride Was Sooooo Cool When i rode, it on my second visit, i didnt ride it on my first, due to it being down, then up then down then up then down for the day, then back up, then oops down again, sorry PKI is closed! LOL, but wow, it was fun, the X-Treme Seat Rocks, the one in the second row on the right side, near the entrance, with nothing in front of you! WOW! WOHOO I AM A PKI-LOCAL!

i bet its like the days of thunder cars, or Xtreme Skyflyer, or slingshot... i wish i were too short for SOB, so i could say oh well, darn i wish i could ride, but not really want to, but that would mean no cool rides either... :-P -
electric cars, no, if it is actually considered, it would fail, due to retrofit costs, and maintenance, a combustion motor isnt quite easy to take care of, but does not rely on conductors to help it move, plus, if there is an outage, well, waham, there they go, just coast for a bit, then die, powered cars suck because they have to be "linked" they would all have to be linked to same controls, there would just be more labor involved, plus it takes away from original concept, plus the kids would be dissappointed from not being able to drive...

are we thinking similarly? a B&M Diving Machine... like: Oblivion at Alton Towers or Sheikra at Busch Gardens Tampa
-
Vortex!? you are not serious! who will join me and chain themselves to the supports to avoid its doom?
-
sweet, but yeah i really want a vert. drop... B&M=LOVE
-
oh my, i could not handle a spongebob ride, it would cause me to go into shock, spongebob is everywhere, the action theater is almost too much as it is! but truly if it were either of the toon themes, there would definitely be bright colors and all, grr! i like deeper colors to the tiques... and vintage colors, deep green, deep red, lighter red, lighter blue, taxi yellow, this is more appropriate!
-
maybe so, but dont you think if the vertical drop ride didnt happen for whatever reason, it would be a cool theme for antique cars?
-
the rumor i have heard is that for 2005, bringing back the antique cars, and theming the statiopn to the mansion of addams, and the journey is through the graveyard, this being the addams family ride.... ???

Very bad idea, if a coaster in ohio were to be built of wood, from ohio, this would not be so good, think about how many flaws there would be in the grains, rotten areas, and the overall condition. the proven wood best suited for wooden coasters is the Yellow Pine, and unless PKI has a gold mine of yellow pine, i dont see this happening! plus there is so much lumber involved in making even a medium sized coaster, it would be too difficult to cut the trees, treat the lumber, and then get the lumber back and build, it would be much better to have the manufacturer handle everything. One more point, if a park actually had enough yellow pine to do this, they would be using so much time/labor/money cutting/treating lumber, that could be spent by professional lumberjacks, this is much more cost effective... think of "buying only american goods," it is more expensive, and is devastating to other economys Thank you, thank you.
