  1. I've noticed that the hotel shuttle(converted school bus painted to KingsIslands resorts colors) drops people off at the bus stop next the KingsIsland drive. I can remember the shuttle in past years driving all the way up the main gate area, to left off people, then wait for others coming out of the park. Any my last visit to the park back in May or June, while leaving the pavement was really rough and beat up. I still wounder were does this ten dollars, and 15 dollars go to? it sure is heck not going to the parking lot.
  2. I couldn't agree more, and why did RCCA go out of business? RCCA was an un experienced builder, and they might have been the lowest bidder to.
  3. I believe this is the 28th thread about SOB.
  4. What I think makes a good park is mixture of ride's, atmosphere, and good food that doesn't break the bank. Busch Gardens Williamsburg is my favorite park, with Holiday World a close second. Both of them are not out to diamante in ride and coasters, they have a good mixture of everything.
  5. Millennium Force is ultra smooth, doesn't matter were you sit.
  6. I have only experienced some rattling at the bottom of the Hammerhead, other then that is is very very smooth. Yeah I feel it more in the Hammerhead, and going up the next hill.
  7. Millennium Force all the way!!!!!
  8. Only thing I can say is that, why is there a vibration coming up though the lap bar on DB? I can feel it from the first drop, up on till the MCBR.
  9. Ether wear sunglasses or have enter change able glass's and put clear lends in them.
  10. This is very sad news to hear, I consider Big Bad Wolf to be a lot better than Flight Deck. The train running along the German town, gave you the feeling like you were a wolf running ramped though a town. Then at night the Town had lights in the windows that came on, that added another level to the ride. From up top the second lift you make a left turn then racing down towards the water, cars swinging out, everyone's screaming. I can still close my eye's and remember my first ride on Big Bad Wolf, feeling being amazed, excited, thinking this is what a Suspended coaster should be! On our last night at the park(we spent five days in Williamsburg) our last rides of the night, I wanted to ride in the front seat but the line was to line, it would have backed up our plans for the rest of the night. So we settled for the second seat in the front car, it was even better at night. Out there in the back area, no lights of any kind, madness of the cars swing out left and right. Riding along top of the water made me speechless! Even know I rode it seven times, I will always remember The Big Bad Wolf!
  11. I will admit, the lights on I-Street was nice. But working on most of the nights, there wasn't anything to do. I found the Cincinnati Zoo to offer more for the money.
  12. WinterFest back in 2005 was just plain horrible.
  13. Well that did it for us in 2007 at CP, we ate at the Coaster Inn. Two cheese burgers, with fries, one medium drink, and one milk shake, it cost 30 dollars. You can go down 250 in Sandusky to the local McDonald's and get all that for two people around 10 dollars. So our two visits up there last year, we ate at Arbys, McDonald's, and the Five dollar foot longs from Subway!!
  14. Sounds like you had a great time, what did your friend get sick from? I prefer riding Red Racer, last time I ride it Blue side was a bit bumper and rougher. Think I have ridden all the standing coaster at KI in one day. and two or three years ago I rode every coaster at CP in one day 16, I didn't ride Jr. Gemini didn't think my long legs would fit.
  15. I would have to say my first rides on Millennium Force, Top Thrill Dragster, and The Voyage. I will never forget them!!!
  16. SOB is different from others, like going up the chain lift, being deaf by the time you get to the top. Then getting the living crap beat out of you though that horrible double helix, the layout isn't that exciting, there really isn't any air time. Just feels like you got rought up!
  17. Most of Cedar Points rides, can not be compared to Kings Island. Just a few, and how can you compare Mine Ride to SOB???? Drop Tower/ Power Tower, I like them both, you can be shoot up on PT.
  18. I've been to KI when my dad company had its picnic, during the summer and it was always on a Saturday. I could remember my dad and brother saying that from up to the Eiffel Tower, there are cars as far as the eye can see. And so we stopped going, and went on others days during the week.
  19. The Racer is over 35 years old, SOB is barely 9 years old. Does anyone remember this at Coney Island? http://www.rcdb.com/ig69.htm?picture=11
  20. I think the Red Racer is a lot smoother than Blue, Blue feels like the wheels are egg's.
  21. The Voyage rocks, its loaded with air time. I though that the Legend was a bit rough last year. The Raven was pretty smooth!!
  22. I was at CP last year in Oct, Fridays are busy when the weather is warm. Doesn't matter on Saturday, if its warm they come, if its cold they come. And Sundays are pretty busy, but not as bad as Saturday. KI last year, every Friday I went to it was packed, didn't mater if it was warm or cold. Saturdays just want to afford all together. Sundays are light, and very enjoyable.
  23. You have to live there get that many rides so fast.
  24. That is the best commercial ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
