it is my understanding that upgrades need to be done at the home park. I upgraded at KI to platinum from Gold in July to get CP access without problems. Only issue was funpix had to re enter my email at keyhole photo. Not sure why. May have something to do with the qr code. But it must done at the issuing park from what I have been told from others.

they also do not have public transportation that drops people off at the front gate. CP is more a resort where aside from the people from michigan/sndusy area mosy stay on site/hotel. This is why you see more crowds at CP mon-fri while KI is not nearly as busy. These are 2 different parks with 2 slightly different ways of doing business. So I understand the difference in price. Not a problem to me.

I believe there is no early entry at CP for gold pass. Not sure on the other parks.

yes gold pass is slightly more at KI than CP , but CP has no early entry for gold pass. However my visit this year to CP had Mellenium Force, Maverick and steel vengence all down to start the day. That kind of puts a damper on early access. -

i did puchase my gold pass today. So basically a no to pestige and down grade platinum as I went to CP once this year. However to the point of the thread I feel CF is pushing KI as the family park in Ohio and most amusement park publications are indicating a push that way as families spend more $$$ than young people looking for the next 300 foot coasters. So yes the next improvements are probably Planet Snoopy and Soak City and another dining establishment with indoor seating. Would love a water coaster in oak city. Not really surprised with the lack of anything new next season. I know every one on this site is in the big coaster thrill group. just trying to be real about it. -
good to know. thanks. sitting at camp cedar. Rain chased us out of Soak City. park was very crowded today.

oops scratch that. there are now some saying this would apply to Fast Lane and not Fast Lane plus. However not sure that has really been clearly defined yet. the website front of the line . Anyone have any clarity on this?
-
I may or may not. The one perk that would appeal to me would be the one front of the line per visit for that very difficult to get night ride on The Beast.
-
hope you have a fun trip. I'll be ther sun thru tues. It has been my experience to expect afternnon thunderstorms of some sort in August in the Cincy area. Has happened to me or often than not.

I guess the only perk I see woul be to use the one per visit from of the line benfeit for a nite ride on The Beast. The parking, vip doesn't really appeal to me. Maybe the free bring a friend for free. Have to wait and see what is taken away from the platinum/gold passes. However not inclined to spend 399 for prestiege plus. Also would lie to know if rides will open for the 2 hour early entry, although 9 am seems a bit early for coasters.
-
not really appealing to me .... at this time. I usually visit during the week. well except for the haunt. So fast line, vip areas not really a thing I look at. maybe for the 2 hour early entrance, but so far no details on what if any rides would be open. So far now. Probably not.

the addition of sunday is a good idea. At KI I do notice more of the teenage groups in the park on Sundays as opposed to weekdays. Can't speak to Fri/Sat as I tend to be there only Sun thru Wed. Now I know this not a KI policy (although I can see it happening) but I would imagine the same issues are happening there on Sun also.

rode it first thing monay AM. Was on the second trip. Was a one train op. The second train was in the parking spot and appeared to be missing a car. Perhaps the one with missing wheel?. It did seem to be moving faster than normal , just my observation. at the beginning of the brake run the train swung a lot higher than usuall. Not a big deal, but usually swings around 45 degees that trip it was almost at 90. Just some thoughts.

wow went to KI on sun/Mon and nearly all the outside drink refill station were ust overcome with bees. Several times I just too my cup and went to another station. My theory (former restaurant manager) is the nozzles are not getting cleaned and soaked overnite leaving a surface of sugar on the nozzles. Thw worst ones were the stations in the water park and at the tower. Anyone else have that problem. Went to CP on tuesda and didn't see the same problems.

just got back from a trip to KI an CP (platinum pass holder) . We (KI as my home park) need upgrades to our water rides. CP version of white water canyon has 4 waterfalls which gets everyone on the boat soaked. Their verion of Amazon falls also gets guests completely soaked. KI definetly needs some work. An easy start is a water fall of water in front of the tunnel. Replace the blasters with water falls. These rides are a little out of date and just needs some upgrade.
