  1. I'm honestly in shock. I have so many questions. It makes sense that the company will be called "Six Flags" since the name is certainly more well known. Will the Cedar Fair parks be renamed? Will the rides be renamed? Are we going to get a bunch of clones? This will be Kings Island's sixth owner. I'm excited and terrified at the same time.
  2. I still have hope that Phantom Theater could return! Maybe this is a two phase investment in Planet Snoopy? Phase 1: Camp Snoopy (2024), Phase 2: Improving Planet Snoopy + Phantom Theater (2025)? We definitely need a Soak City expansion and a new major roller coaster at some point, though... Kings Island could market a water coaster as their new coaster and that would kill two birds with one stone. That would certainly make a lot of us mad lol. Boo Blasters has overstayed its welcome, so I'm all for Phantom Theater 2025!
  3. Here is my review of Alien Abyss: It is such a unique maze! It is definitely a fitting replacement to CHAOS.
  4. What ever happens to Backlot should probably happen at the same time as The Vortex replacement. A new mini-area that includes Kings Mills Antique Autos, WindSeeker, Shake, Rattle and Roll, The Vortex replacement, and rethemed Backlot would be ideal. The retheme could be similar to The Vortex replacement's theme and truly tie the stories of the rides together. Either that, or relocate it to Michigan's Adventure .
  5. It is certainly interesting that Kings Island has been focusing on mini-lands recently. Area 72 is a mini-land inside of Coney Mall, Adventure Port is a mini-land inside of Oktoberfest (or vice versa), and Camp Snoopy will be a mini-land inside of Planet Snoopy. In 2025 or whenever the Soak City expansion is, I think there is a good chance that a mini-land will be added to the water park. This mini-land would probably encompass the back portion of the water park. Maybe Mondo Monsoon, Breakers Bay, and whatever replaces Pipeline Paradise. It could also include Splash River and Zoom Flume, as I know there was a construction marker near there. The Tropical Plunge and Tidal Wave Bay portion of the water park already feels like its own mini-area, so maybe they could build on that?
  6. I am very surprised that the Blackout building will remain vacant. It was also surprising that we won't be getting a scare zone in Adventure Port. Maybe Coney Maul could be extended into Adventure Port, or at least back towards WindSeeker? I'm glad that Rivertown is getting some attention, though. As for the removal of C.H.A.O.S., while I am sad to lose a maze, I'm sure Alien Abyss will be amazing!
  7. I'm very excited to see what Kings Island has prepared for us this year! Fingers crossed to all of the mazes and scare zones from last year returning!
  8. I think Adventure Port is a great addition. The Oktoberfest area definitely needed an upgrade and, although they downsized Oktoberfest, Adventure Port really brings a vibrant refresh to that section of the park. While Sol Spin and Cargo Loco aren't the best flat rides, they provide new options for families. I still prefer Delirium over Sol Spin, but I still think Sol Spin is a great ride. Cargo Loco may be a little boring, but it serves its purpose as another family ride. Now that Oktoberfest has been greatly downsized, I would love to see either one more small flat ride added to it or a theme enhancement. Nothing major, just something to draw more people to that area. I do like that Kings Island is leaning more towards these "mini-lands". Area 72 and Adventure Port are some of the best themed areas in the park. Looking towards the future, Camp Snoopy seems to be a great new addition too! I'll talk about this more in the Camp Snoopy thread, but I'm excited to see what else the park has in store for that area. All in all, Adventure Port is an amazing new area and hopefully foreshadows the awesome additions that Kings Island has planned next!
  9. Surf Dog is a 17-year-old "roller coaster" with pretty bad reliability. I say that KI should update Surf Dog, as you suggested, and retheme it to fit into Camp Snoopy. Either that, or remove it and replace it with a few smaller kiddie flat rides.
  10. I know it's not night, but... How much longer will Invertigo last? It is pretty much agreed on that Invertigo is the next coaster to go. Will KI pull a 2019 and announce a new coaster and announce the removal of another one a month later? Only time will tell.
  11. I really hope that this isn't the final year for these two mazes. KillMart is definitely my favorite maze at Haunt. It wouldn't make much sense to remove the two most popular mazes in the same year. I mean, Slaughterhouse even had its own building built for it. If this is their last year, I hope they are replaced by even better mazes. Some kind of mall-themed maze to go along with the Zombie Mall scare zone from 2019 would be awesome in the old KillMart location.
