  1. In that case... HARD-A shot of the Skyline Patio. EASY-Flight Deck flying by the fence/exit path.
  2. Does this count as The Beast arcade, it IS visible....
  3. This needs to be finished, this could seriously make a good like book esque piece of material, love it!
  4. Thank you for those photos TOPGUN, really puts it into perspective.
  5. I would be more than game for a meet up next year, ticketed or not. Thank you to Malem for the organization. And what do you know a picture of me. The one taken whike waiting for the final ride of The Beast, that's me on the right.
  6. That video was indeed stunning. Cannot wait to see what the skyline looks like. RIP Son of Beast.
  7. They also posted a photo of Vortex trains off the track as well. They waste no time.
  8. That is what I assumed all day, it did get pretty windy. I noticed it on Slingshot when we were waiting to be taken back down and we weren't half the height of DT.
  9. I noticed it remained closed for the duration of today (28th) and when I arrived it was stopped mid way but by about noon'ish I believe it had returned to the top.
  10. Another year in the books, thank you Kings Island for a 40th Anniversary Season that I will not soon forget.

  11. Sadly as this comes every year, The Beast has settled down for a long winters nap and our beloved Kings Island has clanged the metal doors shut for the winter. But I am looking forward to another great season in 2013. While Screamscape has us getting some new flat rides next year, or so is the rumor, I believe we will just see a new park expansion where our beloved Son once stood. I for one would be happy if they made a new area over that way and just opened up some space to expand back towards the old monorail trains and even over close to AE and FoF.
  12. ^He wasn't shooting a POV, he started to film whenever they climbed down. But yes it always seems like it happens when someone has a camera in their hands.
  13. This was taken from an iPhone but you can make out at one point the train valley'd in the middle of the cobra roll it appears, and then the video pans over to show where they ended up walking down from.
  14. I am in the process of trying to acquire the video from him. Like I said I am just telling you what I heard, don't shoot the messenger. He has also informed me a ladder was the means of evacuation from the train, only from the train, not down from the ride.
  15. Last Friday when I was at the park with a couple of friends I left early and they stayed and closed down the park. Well he didn't say his exact time it happened but they were riding on FoF later on in the night and his train valleyed. From what I could tell by the video he took and his story, it was right in the middle of the Cobra Roll. He said they had to walk down what looked like a set of stairs off to the side and were then evacuated out by the path by the final brake run. I will try to get him to post the video he took as he was walking off the ride looking up. Has anyone ever heard of an instance like this happening? At first I thought he meant that the MCBR had just stopped them and they got off that way, but from what I saw and what he told me it actually did valley perfect.
  16. I am more of a Pepsi fan myself, but anymore I drink sports drinks or water. I do like that we get to keep the Freestyle Machine, such a beautiful use of technology.
  17. Is that not what they did when Paramount did FearFest and it required an upcharge? It seems to me I remember hearing something about getting a wristband or such and you could only do the rides and mazes with that wristband saying you paid to do FearFest.
  18. I saw this topic on In The Loop Rebooted the other night and though that it would be a good question to ask on here. Do you all think that Halloween Haunt is getting too crowded and thus making it almost impossible to enjoy all the attractions in one day? Me personally, I wish they would go to a separate ticket like FearFest was, as that made crowds much more reasonable and you could actually go to the park on a Saturday.
  19. Weird seeing the footers alone, something that has not been seen in over a decade.
  20. Truly surreal to see it coming down, going to try and snap some photos myself when i go tomorrow.
  21. I have always loved Vortex, mainly because of it's sheer presence in the park. The ride is magnificent and looks magnificent from a distance. This year however I have grown to love Vortex even more. I have discovered some seats that give me that famous Arrow ejector air, I have rode it more times this year than any other and of course it is 25 years old this year. The ride experience is amazing, every single portion of track has some special element about it that makes it stand out. The day Vortex reaches the end of it's cycles will indeed be a sad day, I cannot imagine what that area of the park will look like if Vortex is not in it.
  22. I feel as if the communities are dwindking slowly but they all have those members who are diehard and will remain until the very end. I love roller coasters and amusement parks as much as i did when i found this site 8 years ago, it just gets mire and more hard to show when you get older. Sorry for the type errors my tablet is hard to type on.
  23. Oh goodness, the dreaded trailer tower that kept on growing, and growing, and growing. It was quite comical however, I enjoyed it. Thank you, I knew I was missing someone. I have another, GigglingGreenGhosts, I loved his avatar and he had insightful posts. Speaking of Avatar........
  24. I would love to see buzz bars installed back on the ride and the trains put in their original state, however I am about 100% sure that will never happen. Realistically, just a new paint job and maybe some new padding in the seats, they can be a little uncomfortable at times. The Racer is a classic that is fine just the way it is though.
  25. Sometimes I miss the old forums, anyone remember the old IJ:ST forum theme? I got a poster I haven't seen in a while, CombatStupendous89......whatever happened to that guy, I heard he tried his hand at coaching the Mighty Ducks
