If you are responding to me I would like to know your reason for saying that. I remember there being substantial talk about this a while back but have not heard anything lately. Don't really care if they do but there seems to be some things that were there that would fit in nicely in that area.

Wasn't there some talk of bringing the buildings from GL near Villain to be part of the theming and/or line?

It is my guess that CF is in pretty good shape right now. If they were desperate they would have taken the bids for GL that they felt were to low. It appears that if they get into trouble they still have the option of getting rid of that property, even at a low rate to pay some bills. Don't they also own some land in Michigan? They might be able to work out a deal with Santa Clara too. We'll know for sure after November 6. It seems like they had a year of profit and will reopen in the spring (except KBF) when things have calmed down. I also bet a lot of the $500 million extra they borrowed is still there. I am not saying things won't get bumpy. I have been through enough to understand that. I just think they have some options.

Why do people keep saying ki is going to replace it with a B&M Inverted Coaster? I said no such thing! If Flight Deck was replaced with an Invert I would cry. Flight Deck is quite a thrilling ride and very unique. I would cry too. From happiness!

As was stated above it was Paramount that made these changes. If fact so far CF has only added one ride and taken nothing out. The park that you see is from the Paramount days except for the fact that it is now cleaner, has more landscaping, and has more shows. Think how you would have felt 2 and a half years ago.

My wishes: 1. New sit-down restaurant. (Game Day Grille) 2.Re-theme Back Lot Stunt Coaster - Plant grass, trees around it and get rid of the ugly theming. You could have the dark part be through a cave with a waterfall going down it. The second launch you could be sitting there with water flowing down around you or under you. Just make it look better. I always thought that instead of this coaster KI should have built a sit-down restaurant in the middle of the area and put fountains, waterfalls, windmills there with some nice flatrides. Should have kept the trees. Kind of like Kennywood where the gasebo is.

I was there on Saturday August 16 and the place was packed. We got there at 5:30 and only rode three rides by 11:00 when it closed. 1:30 for Maverick 1:20 for MF 1:30 for TTD

I thought the same thing last night when I read this post. Stuff like this happens all the time to people. 99% of people forget that it even happened by their next ride. It's not like you found a band-aid in your food. It was just a mistake that sounds like was taken care of.

I got to ride Talon last week and that is a great ride. It would be great if KI could get an invert similar to this.

Interpreter or anybody that might know, I have been wondering something and with the situation at Great America it seems like this is an appropriate place to put this. Realistically how much money do you think CF can get for the Geauga Lake property? It seems to me if they can get a good bit of money for GL and can get the $110 million for GA it would go a long way in getting them back in good financial standing. What do you think?

The post by ucgrady and another on coasterbuzz.com got me thinking. I may be way off on this but I think this coaster is going to be longer than 4200 ft. I just don't think the person who looked at these plans took into consideration the changes in elevation. You take the first hill at around 200 ft and you can already add 400 ft to the length. That takes it to 4600 ft without even taking into consideration all of the other elements of this coaster. That puts you right around where First Drop and the other website referenced at around 5000 ft. I don't think it is a stretch that she did not look at the plans this way since she thought the helixes were loops.

I say teaser by next week if not an announcement. We already know, so why keep us waiting? So where did she get 4200 ft? I cannot get close enough to the plans to read it without it getting blurry.

I actually heard this same rumor last fall. What I heard is that KI had signed a deal to get 3 coasters over a 5 years period. I think that was the timeframe. I didn't really take it seriously. I hope it is true. If they all would be from B+M what would they be? The two I think KI really needs: Hyper Inverted The third? Sitting Coaster Diving Maching (this would be my choice) Floorless

I've always thought that El Dorado would fit well in the Euro-Bungee spot.

At this point either one is fine with me.

I just think that a hyper is something KI needs the most. After that we need an invert. If KI would add those two types the collection o coasters would be well rounded.

I was looking at the GL today website last night trying to figure out what flats KI might get. The three I thought would be most practical were: Americana - KI does not have a Ferris Wheel El Dorado - KI has nothing like this and it would fit in where Flight Commander used to be. The car would fit in accross from the Happy Days Dinner. Hay Baler - KI has nothing like this and needs a ride like this in my opinion. The other flat rides from GL either KI has one or does not fit the park in my opinion. I thought a few of the others would have capacity issues, like tea party. The antique cars would be nice.

Those people on GLtoday have lost their minds. I understand being upset losing their homepark but they have some irrational opinions and conspiracy theries. I just read a post on there where someone wrote that "you will find out in the next five years about CF." He was responding to a person who said the only other park he could see closing other than GL is GA. There is no way that CF is going to close KI. Sell it, maybe. BUt from what I have read the main reason they bought all the paramount parks in the first place was to get KI. Why in the world would CF close a park that gets 3.5 million people a year? They want to make money. Closing KI would not make CP any more money. Minimal if any.

Yeah, because so many people want to pay a 40 dollar admission to go sit in a sports bar and watch tv. Yes, but season pass holders like me would love to have a place like this. You can roll your eyes all you want but this is something KI needs. Maybe not a sportsbar but some type of restaurant. By the way, CWL new attractions for 2007 were restaurants. I think we posted at the same time Cory!

I could see it happening. They could move Congo or bring the one from GL if it is in better shape. I think it is bigger too. They could put it in the bare space where the dolphin show used to be. They just don't use TW anymore and I thought CF even said they weren't in the concert bussiness. That would open that area up a lot for a whole lot of things.

That is the point. I read in one article that the GL brought in like $30,000 to the local economy compared to a lot more in the past. I am not sure on the amount. It might be a bigger deal if Wal-Mart left than GL closing for the local economy. I know it wouldn't be as emotional however. I think GL closes more like 6 months a year.

I understand what you are saying. I am talking Cleveland overall. I wonder how many employess of GL actually live in Aurora. From talking to some that live in Cleveland they have said that area is pretty well to do. I guess I don't feel as bad because KW and CP are as close to Cleveland as I live to KI and I go thre all the time. It is not like they don't have other options. Options that in my opinion are better. Now if KI went under what realistic options do we have. SFKK and HW are 3 hours from where I live!
