  1. I don’t think I would want to sleep there…
  2. Imagine sleeping in a beach house esque bungalow in Soak City? I’m thinking something like this: People are like “Oh, who’s that? Why is there a house there?” And then it’s like “Oh that? That’s Steve’s. Yeah he lives in Soak City, he’s been here since the park opened actually. Dude can totally crush some wings from the island smokehouse. You can usually catch him soaking in the rays on the shores of Breakers Bay, Masons own ocean, or just vibing out on the Splash River letting the tide take him where he needs to go.”
  3. imagine this, Tony c gives you the keys to the kingdom, and says, “If you could have a sleepover anywhere in KI, where you guys doing this?” What would you do? Now this would be a sleepover, I’m talking sleeping bags, casting YouTube onto the tv, snacks. You get to bring your friends. In the morning the KI executive chef has a bountiful meal prepared for you. I would probably sleep somewhere along the second story of I street, maybe convert it into like a little pent house studio apartment? Imagine there’s like a little door that leads to an elevator, and then you go up and there’s a Murphy bed and bean bags and a fridge. Maybe some sort of musical instruments to do bits with at 4 am? A parlor couch, a table with mail on top of it. Blackout curtains so we can sleep til like 2 pm. what about you?
  4. Title says all. Would you rather have present day Six Flags Management or 2006 Paramount Management?
  5. See an Oktoberfest event makes too much sense and would make money which is they they wouldn’t host one
  6. Seems like this concept might be closer to reality…
  7. Do we think it’s Looney Toons or Phantom Theater?
  8. They should show reels and have AI voice overs of Joe Rogan being like “buy a Fast Lane, it saves you time and money.” also more AI, like a TMZ style KI NEWS segment where it’s like that offical sounding voice AI that people use and it’s like “Drake was spotted on The Racer” and it shows an image of him on The Racer in a sweatshirt hands down. Also trends, like it’s just food reviews w different local micro influencers and they’re like “MMMM THIS SANDWICH IS SO TASTY” and it’s just them eating in their cars with KI in the background. Thoughts?
  9. I been thinking: The people (we), we need our voice heard. I’m tired of these corporate guys coming in and being blah blah synergy this cost cutting that, more like how bout you shut your mouth and build us a T. rex? (Eeeeessssh) Thats why I’m proposing, industry legend Don Helbig takes a hold of the ship as the CEO of Six Flags. See Don knows the parks, he would be approachable, his office is international street for crying out loud! Concerned about food quality? All corporate employees are given a dining plan and that’s the only thing they can use tk eat year round. Try cutting back hours and food quality now… Rides…I mean Don rode The Racer a couple hundred times back in the day, I don’t think anyone knows rides better than this guy. Now for the COO, we’re going out of the industry, and we’re bringing in Ryan Suhr. This guy works in finance, he can crunch some numbers and use blender, unstoppable. Anyways these guys would totally change the game kinda like that scene in step brothers when the two guys interview for jobs. thoughts?
  10. Mods can we move this thread to the appropriate section? Looks like another thread was created, don’t want KIC users to be confused since this is the original, possibly merge the threads?
  11. Anything that lets me rip cannonballs faster…I am all in!
  12. I’ve noticed something concerning regarding Tower Topics, in today’s episode you could tell something bad, like really bad happened. Let’s break down the facts: Don and Ryan were the face of the resistance. Telling us how it is, and not afraid to speak their minds. The Tower Topics X was deleted, no more tweets, all gone, poof. Today’s episode, was very apologetic, let’s focus on the good, what? What happened to the Don and Ryan from last week? This show was previously like being on a life boat (the podcast) watching the titanic sink (Kings Island). What is going on? Sounds like to me they were confronted by upper management about their behavior, and if they keep this up they my be banned from the park. They deleted the X burning the paper trail, losing thousands of historical tweets. Sounds like damage control to me… Has Tower Topics entered it’s shill era? Sounds like it to me.
  13. They should do a show called Tower Topics: Live! in the KIT. It has guest interaction, trivia on our phones, and maybe a t shirt cannon? Thoughts?
  14. I wonder if the new VP of F&B would want to honor the legacy of Mike Koontz by establishing a dive bar called, Mike’s, in Action Zone. If you’re interested in seeing something like that added to the existing portfolio of culinary locations at the park check out this thread:Mike’s - A Bar Concept for KI.
  15. How it would feel at Mikes I would pound so many light beers and hurricanes here before riding like the Delirium or something Maybe have different drinks named for different park legends. WOULD YOU DRINK A DON’s DAIQUIRI? Ruth Voss Rum Punch Mike’s Margarita Greg’s Green Tea Shot Bill Meford Mai Tai
  16. As we all know, Micheal (King) Koontz was one of the most influential Park Presidents in KI’s over 50 year history. He felt like the dad of the park, taking care of the rides, the guests, and the team. In a way to honor his legacy I propose that they build a bar in his honor, with a neon sign, simply called: Mike’s. This would be a no frills kind of place, ice cold coors served with cheese curds and wings, wooden paneling, the waft of cigarette smoke. TVs playing all of Mike’s favorite sports teams. Photos of Mike and other park legends on the wall. This would be a place for the tru KI Fans to relax, rewind, recharge, and most importantly, reflect. Reflect on the legacy of Micheal, and look forward to the future that we can shape. I think it should go in Action Zone, where the Banshee Ice Cream place is now. Imagine a giant neon margarita but it says Mike’s over it in hot pink, (yeah you can see it, I know you can I see you reading this), it would fit into Action Zone. What do you think or Mike’s Bar and Grille? Or Mike’s Dive? (Name is still tbd) Let’s use this thread as a place to discuss, create, and curate new ideas.
  17. I would never mock the best podcast in the world.
  18. It’s not AI buddy. Sounds like someone just hasn’t had the muffuletta or experienced the culinary adventure that is the French Quarter. Once you understand, let’s circle back. This thread is for KI FOODIE FANS, because that’s who we are, and that’s who we care about.
  19. How it feels to eat the muffuletta at The French Corner Now let me tell you something, when you go to Kings Island you’re not just getting greasy diner crap, no no no, NO SIR! You are getting Michelin five star meals, right here in the heart of Mason aka Ohio’s Largest playground. Strolling on International Street it’s easy to close your eyes, let the sounds of the fountains and music transport you to the old country. Am I in the Swiss alps? Am I in the vineyards of Spain? Or am I in a quaint Parisian cafe, with a subtle exterior and bold flavors on the inside, beckoning your taste buds in with wafts of the most delectable delicacies this side of the missippi? Yes, this, now this is real life. *pinches arm* To the unassuming eye this may come across as a mere facade, a simple extension of the themed land known as International Street, but to true fans when we see that balcony we know we are about to treated to one of the best meals in the park. Opening up that door is like being transported back in time to the turn of the century France, Parisian art adorns the wall setting the tone for this first class meal, foreign cigarette smoke emanates off of the associates behind the counter, and if you’re lucky the ice may not be turned on, just like a real European cafe experience. Now this isn’t some chic boujee cafe, no sir. This is like Anthony Bourdain walked you into the heart of Paris to your favorite cafe and opened the door into a portal of flavor, yeah you’re not getting that touristy crap here, these guys don’t play around. My go to is the Muffuletta, flavorful without being overbearing, light but filling, savory with a dash of spice. This flavor combination is bound to satisfy the hunger from any foodie. The bun on this sandwich feels like biting into a fluffy cloud, happy as it could be. I suspect that each morning they bake the bread, fresh, for guests like us to enjoy. I imagine the upstairs has large stone furnaces reminiscent of what you may find in a European bakery, as KI only provides guests with the best day experience spared at no expense. The meats are a culmination of western and Eastern European flavors coming together, to bring bold new flavors that haven’t been seen before at a park setting. The Cheese is representative of the unique flavors that France brings to the table, not too overbearing, but when you bite in it’s like a distant friend just saying “Hey, yeah I’m here, I’m here for you, enjoy.” Now who could forget about the olives? Originating from the Mediterranean region these vegetables harken back to the International Street theme, and truly tie together the sandwich. On a nice summer day there is no better feeling than the cool vegetables against the warm bread and meat, big ups to whoever made this decision. Now with this dish you do get a side, and I’ll be frank, none of them really jump out to me, they’re all just fine. Overall the atmosphere of this place and the sandwich alone are worth a visit to the park. Looking to make a trip across the pond this summer for a culinary adventure? No plane ticket required, The French Corner has got you covered.
  20. I’ve attached the word rumor to this thread to appease the mods (they don’t like when the truth gets out too early…) even though it is the truth, please circle back to this thread in August after the official announcement. A Conjuring house designed by Plague Productions is coming to HAUNT this year in the former Blackout building. They’re building an extended queue now to accommodate the crowds. A sister house is going to be built at Carowinds.
  21. Yeah nice try buddy… Came straight from the dome, all OG Organic KIC thought BROTHA. How about you stick to the thread topic?
