Nice to see the old mazes that they are bringing back. Kinda expected them to change the graphic or atleast update the description, but they are the same as always. Maybe I am being way to picky, but I dont think the site is complete yet.
-
Umm it still list TG as going upside down 6 times and makes no mention of SOB, AE, TRTR, Racer, or Delerium as being open. I think they need to work on the site a little bit, or they got tired of all the complaining and just put up what they had.
-
By that website, there is no mention of SOB, Delirium, AE, TRTR, or Racer running during FearFest. Kinda strange, maybe that is the few minor adjustments.
-
Just a few more adjustments Longest adjustments I have ever seen Who wants to take bets that the site is not up today?

Cant wait to see that on ride photo

I would love to see either a hyper/giga or a floorless coaster at PKI. Stand Ups are a thing of the past and I cant say I am broken hearted. Nothing says fun like ridding a bannana seat through multiple inversions and then trying to find your testicles afterwards.
-
Ok lets say that it is between 35 and 40 outside. Now factor in a coaster at PKI lets say Beast or SOB running at a top speed anywhere between 60 and 75 mph, depending on what rider you are on. Now that we have factored in the speed of the coaster moving through the fridgid, but above freezing air, I believe you can see we have a wind chill to consider. Ahhh yes meterology, any moron can figure it out. Thats right we now have a 60 to 75 mph 35 degree wind in our face for the next couple of minutes. I dont know about you, but my snot is freezing.....

Yeah well it looks like we must wait another day to see if the can Finish up these touches or not. I agree the website builds excitement, plus it also gets patrons in the park because they know a little bit of what to expect at FearFest. People are not going to cough up the money if they dont know what they are paying for.

Screamingnight Ahh yes nothing say fun and holiday spirit like ridding a big fast roller coaster in the middle of winter. Yeah that makes me feel all warm and tingley inside. Who would need a cup of hot chocolate after that? Poor it on me would be much better. Not to mention you wouldnt be able to see the rest of Winterfest because the snot from your nose would travel up your face and freeze your eyelids shut. Some people are just plain stupid.....

PKI needs to add a ScareFactory Impaler to FearFest this year. Nothing says cool like a $10K 13ft tall pneumatic monster from hell.
-
The clock is ticking and what is left of the 8th is slowly ticking away? Will PKI make it? Tune in next week, for another thrilling episode of As PKI Turns Same PKI Time.... Same PKI Channel....
-
Hmmm the anticipation.... FearFest better live up to it and not be like last years.

Great Wolf Lodge Breaks Ground on 8-18

^ ^ ^ The 84-degree waterpark will house six pools, a four-story interactive treehouse waterfort with a 1,000-gallon tipping bucket at the top, and 11 waterslides with the latest trends in water attractions including a water roller coaster ride and a cannon bowl tube ride. Straight from the press release to answer what is going inside this thing. -
Khalahari is the name of the other indoor water park being built in Sandusky. GWL @ PKI will be a tremendous success. Try booking GWL or CB during the summer or winter, it doesnt matter because they are pretty much booming year round. The addition of GWL will only help PKI and their annual attendance. Once GWL is open for a full seasson compare those numbers to the previous years and we will see a huge difference. Anyone that says this is a bad move by PKI, has never been to one of these indoor water park resort lodges, nor do they understand how this will help PKI of becoming a resort destination. Talk about a Business no brainer. Hmmm shut down camp ground and let a company pay all of the construction and opperating costs to build and run a year round resort destination on our doorstep. Not to mention PKI receives the benefit of all those new tourists and profits from the success of GWL.

^ ^ ^ I agree what they have done over the past couple years has made a tremendous difference. Especially with the return of WinterFest and now the addition of Great Wolf Lodge, PKI is going to become more of a year round destination. But like the previous comment, I do not see them making tremendous capital improvements up front to change over night. More of a gradual change than anything.
-
^ ^ ^ I understand what you are saying about the Disney of the MidWest, but I dont think it will happen over night. Especially in just one seasson. Nor do I think an all new FearFest will make them the Disney of the MidWest. I love PKI, but they have a long way to become anything close to Disney or a seassonal version of it in the midwest.
-
I still cant imagine PKI added all of these new attractions to FearFest this year. I say this because that would cause another large capital investment and they are already making that for WinterFest. I am curious if it is nothing more than repackaging the old attractions and just adding some fog and new costumes. Dont want to be skeptical, but I must because I have seen no hard proof yet.

This is the exact list of attractions that can be found at ScreamScape which are rumored for PCW.

I have been to the one in Sandusky and from the sounds of the press release this thing is going to blow it out of the water. Quote from press release The 84-degree waterpark will house six pools, a four-story interactive treehouse waterfort with a 1,000-gallon tipping bucket at the top, and 11 waterslides with the latest trends in water attractions including a water roller coaster ride and a cannon bowl tube ride. The lodge in Sandusky only has 9 slides. Not to mention the lodge in Sandusky has 271 compared to 401 here. Quite a large size difference and I thought the one in Sandusky was huge. -
Good point, but I gotta admit I like Circuss of Horrors better. How about the Circuss of Whorrers???
-
I hate clowns in general, but really enjoyed the whole 3-D attraction. I guess the clowns and my dislike for them made the 3-D even creepier.
-
^ ^ ^ I would say same places as always with possible use of the Paramount Theater again. Possible chance that WWC que or channel could be used like at CP. This is my best guess
-
No House of Darkness, Curse of the Crypts, Maze of Maddness, or Circuss of Horrors? Cant beleive they would replace that many attractions. I agree that Fear Fest has gone downhill, but to replace that many attractions and to keep Sleepy Hollow, which was very well themed, but not that scary. Just makes me wonder about this. Might we see the same houses with just a new name?

Thats right. Got the two confused.
