You've got Diamondback questions, he's got Diamondback answers!

Wow didnt know we were blessed with so many meterologists on this site. Amazing. One of the few jobs in America that if you are right 50% of the time your considered very good, just imagine if we held doctors and engineers to those same standards. -

I meant to post this article yesterday from the Washington City Paper. They dont like Dan Snyder or SixFlags if you didnt know. Love the opening, "Six Flags, has decided that kegs, not cartoon characters, are what can bring the company back from the brink." Washington City Paper -
I see thanks for the info.

TPR has an awesome video of Eagle Fortress and yes Big Bad Wolf is an amazing coaster especially seeing as it is an Arrow Suspended. I wonder if they will ever turn the trains around backwards on Flight Deck like they did on XLR8 to 8RLX

Good luck with your endevor, take some tylenol beforehand, because you are going to be worn out and sore by the end of the day. Least you havent decided to do it on The Beast or SoB. My only marathon ridding was on ShockWave at KD and Drachen Fire at BGE. ShockWave, I got 12 circuits completed without moving out of my seat, I know isnt a record but on a stand up wore me out. Drachen Fire I like to think I have the unofficial record. 25 circuits without moving from my seat during a nice light rain. I was the only person on the train the whole time. The ride ops thought it was hillarious and they administered medical attention after my 25th ride. Bloody nose and all, I just sprawled out in the station after my last ride. Sadly the coaster was removed the next year. Once again enjoy and good luck.

Realy looking great. Hope everyone got a laugh out of the RickRoll. Had a bad day at work and a good RR makes me laugh. Hope it brought a little humor to your day. *posted from my Blackberry Curve -
I just found out that around 4:30 today 3 shipping containers were delivered to Kings Island today. The contents of these containers are the 3 trains for Diamondback! Here is a picture of one of the containers on site and I also have video of them being unloaded with the content check showing off the new B&M coaches. With excitement comes poor spelling, sorry...

74 degress from horizontal. 90 degrees being completely vertical. Therefore the the first drop will angle downward at 74 degrees, 16 degrees shy of vertical. There I go again double posting -

You haven't seen it in person yet, so how can you honestly compare the two? They both have a 230' lift and DB will drop at 74degrees and Behemoth drops at 75. If anything they look similar. Still hard time understanding your doubts if this is truly what you are doubting and not the overall statistics of this ride. Thats fine if you want to second guess ride stats, but dont backtrack when someone calls you on it. Stick to your guns... -

Shocked, because you have questioned the stats on almost every other aspect of this coaster. 74degree first drop, 193' tall second hill and on and on. So because the lift hill doesn't look tall yet, you are still keeping the faith? Keeping the faith about what? Nice try to backtrack, but with your previous posts regarding DB I dont buy it. Call me Skeptical... -
Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
RailRider replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Yeah it doesn't look as high as those 2 because its not complete yet. Do you think they are going to change the plans overnight and only build a coaster 150ft tall because thats what they feel like and try and pass it as 230' tall? Seriously you amaze me. Heres a simple question for you. What kind of crane is Clifford? Answer. Manitowoc Crawler Crane, now their full line of Crawlers have a minimum boom height of 200' depending on model, oh wait that gives credit to what you say. But if you look at any web cam picture of Clifford you will notice there is a fixed jib on the boom, giving the boom depending on model a new boom height anywhere from 240' foot and up. Wait if your theory is right why would they use a fixed jib boom to make the crane taller, seems unecessary. Wait maybe it is because the statistics are accurate, go figure they are telling the truth. Your skepticism is misplaced and bordering on ignorance at this point. -

The station will be at the bottom of the lift where all of the kicker wheels are, the other side is to house the transfer track and trains. -

I find that my trips to KI or any other park have completely changed. No longer do I go thrill to thrill, coaster to coaster, but instead I find myself taking in more of the atmosphere, noticing the smiles on famlies faces and watching my daughter laugh and play. Amusement parks have completely changed for me recently and honestly it has been a great change.

FUN to Bounce Back Quicker Than Market?
RailRider replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I completely agree with this logic. The numbers that cf have reported so far have been very positive this seasson and with the call coming shortly I expect the numbers to go up or stay the same. I took the time on friday to add to my stash of fun, because I love a fun sale. I see fun making it to the high $30 range by the end of 2009 *posted from my blackberry curve -
