She is one remarkable woman! -
He just said some days are better to go in the rain and some aren't. So you can't really say don't go in the rain..

OFFICIAL! Son of Beast Will NOT Operate in 2010
UnrealNightmare replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Terminator Salvation at SFMM is also built to withstand earthquakes but I wouldn't consider it an engineering marvel. SOB took existing technology to a new level much the same way KK and TTD were when they opened which IMO they are. You wouldn't consider Terminator Salvation and Fireball a engineering "marvel"? I sure would. I don't know of any other wooden coasters that can withstand strong earthquakes. The last wooden coaster I would ride after a earthquake would be Son of Beast. It is true that Son of Beast, Top thrill dragster, and Kingda ka set a new level but I wouldn't put them on my reliable list either. GhostRider was built to withstand earthquakes. I was going to say the same exact thing. I wore a Kings Island shirt to three different parks last summer. SFoG, SeaWorld, and Universal. You really wouldn't believe how many ppl from all three parks asked me where and what it was. Also on to The Beast I know lots of enthusiasts especially my friends from coastersims who think it is just as bad if not worse than SoB. So I think you're making a very good point. -
Backlot Stunt Coaster Trains Being Stripped of Their Theming
UnrealNightmare replied to DBru's topic in Kings Island
And notably, the large plume of fire that shoots up as you launch is also not working. The two others off to the side do ignite still, so we still have that better than Kings Dominion's and Canada's Wonderland's. But just as I've said with the Crypt, the saddest part is this: When a light goes out, when an effect stops working, when a speaker shorts out - they will not be replaced. They just won't. One effect at a time (as we've seen with the fire this year) the ride will stop working. It's just one of those things that Cedar Fair doesn't focus on, for better or worse. Sure, once in a while they decide to appease us and we get a re-invigorated effect on Adventure Express. And it's great to have it back. But the point is, every time a light shorts out on The Crypt, it's simply one less light that the ride will operate with. I'm not saying Paramount didn't operate the exact same way. Just that it's something we as a park have had to deal with for a long time, and it's sad. Idk if this is completely true. Have you ridden Flight of Fear yet this year? I can't remember completely but it seems like they added more colors to the lights in the drum. I could be wrong but it seemed a little more disorientating to me. -
An easy way to start a diet is to do what I do slowly start it. the first thing I gave up was soda. I haven't drank soda in over 4 months. Not only did it help with my diet but I also fell more energy at the end of the day at the parks.

At SFOT they used a computer to scan the passes also. At least when I went they did. -
Trip confirmed for Universal Studios, Orlando Florida
UnrealNightmare replied to KI FANATIC 37's topic in Trip Reports
Busch Gardens would be a better choice for Spring Break. Spring Break at Uni is worse than Halloween Horror Nights with the crowds. Also the Meal Deals are the way to go unless you plan on eating outside the park. And if you do that I suggest Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville. You can't beat all that for nine bucks! If you would like to see my trip report from last year let me know. -
Thanks! I also hope I get the chance to go back this summer.
-
You didn't read my report all the way did you? And you didn't see the missing track pieces in the photo?
-
Yes it was by far the most intense ride I have been on.. My ride count Titan 2 La Vibora 1 Flashback 1 Mr. Freeze 1 Mine Train 1 Batman 1 Runaway Mountain 1
-
Ahh I was alright with it. If it hadn't closed though I probably would have gotten at least 25 rides on Titan lol..
-
Ok sorry for the double post. Just letting you guys know the pictures are up now..

Well first I'd like to say even though my trip to Six Flags Over Texas was only a three hour trip I still enjoyed it. The reason it was cut short was unknown to me. They say it was for weather but it was 55 degrees and slightly windy. I really think it was because there was less than one hundred people in the park. So giving us all free tickets and and free lockers was cheaper than the money they were losing by staying open. I'm only going to show the best pictures on here but I will leave a link for the entire album. To start the day we started off slow. We started off with Runaway Mountain. It was a nice little dark coaster, it had a few surprises that I didn't expect. After that we headed over to ride Mine Train. While riding I noticed a very peculiar thing and this is where my first disappointment of the day came. Shockwave was missing track pieces so I obviously wasn't getting a ride on it. Next it was on to Batman I have also ridden its clone at SFoG so this ride was nothing new to me. Then it was on to Flashback and all I can say about this ride is ouch. It hurt my back more than anything... Since Judge Roy Scream was closed for the day and Mr. Freeze was still testing we headed over to La Vibora it was a nice little bobsled coaster but I prefer Disaster Transport. Now it was time for Titan! We waited one train for front row and boy was this coaster intense. I got a bruise on my arm from the forces, it was probably because I was looking for the camera the whole ride, but it resulted in a good picture.. After Titan we decided to head back over and get our ride on Mr. Freeze. This ride was also very good. After we got off Mr. Freeze I got my final disappointment of the day. They came over the park speaker and said the park would be closing at 1:30 it was 1 o'clock so we decided to get on last ride on Titan. We decided to ride in the very back this time. It was just as good as the front. Titan is now my third favorite coaster. So as we were heading out, disappointed of course they were giving us free tickets to come back, they noticed my Colts bandanna and asked if I would like a ticket to a different park and I said of course. So I have one free ticket and a free locker at Six Flags St. Louis. All in all for the three hours I was there I got quite a bit accomplished and I'm happy with the time I got. Now on to the pictures.... Now the second part of my trip was to see my baby brother for his second birthday. Just a few pictures.... The rest of my pictures can be found here..... SFOT and Brody's second birthday

I'm buying mine stil on the 14th I'll be going to SFoT for two days while visiting my dad. Just so happens I got lucky and the only 3 days that the park is open during the month is that weekend. I'll also be going to SFGam and SFStl and hopefully two others. -
KENTUCKY KINGDOM CLOSED

I hope so Thunder Run was my very first coaster.. -
If your dad was there to hold the key wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the locker? Just sayin

I think either way this goes there is still fear of the unknown. There always will be... That's the nature of life.
