  1. In this rotten economy, I'm not surprised that KI is getting so many job applicants. I've been temping for the welfare department for the last few months, and I see more and more people. As a matter of fact, I've even seen people with graduate degrees applying for assistance.
  2. I think that KI will bring back an old show, as in old from the 2008 season. Best regards, Italian Chef
  3. The young lady in the pink shirt is quite attractive.
  4. Good news! Mason's Great Wolf Lodge got an extension until Nov. 30! http://corp.greatwolfresorts.com/phoenix.z...&highlight= Great Wolf Resorts, Inc. Announces Extension of Maturity Date to November 30, 2009 on Mason, Ohio Mortgage Loan MADISON, Wis., Jan. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Great Wolf Resorts, Inc. (Nasdaq: WOLF), North America's leading family of indoor waterpark resorts, today announced that it has negotiated an extension of the maturity date to November 30, 2009 on the company's $76.8 million mortgage loan on its Mason, Ohio resort property. During the extension period, the loan will continue to bear interest at a rate of LIBOR plus 425 basis points, with a minimum rate of 6.50 percent per annum. In addition, the company has provided the Mason mortgage loan lenders with a $15.0 million corporate guaranty and cross-collateralization on the company's Grapevine, Texas resort property. The Grapevine resort's mortgage loan is with the same lenders as the Mason mortgage loan. The corporate guaranty and cross-collateralization on the Grapevine property will remain in place until the company makes a $15.0 million principal reduction of the Mason loan over the remaining term of the loan. The company will be required to use 50 percent of the net proceeds toward the $15.0 million mandatory principal reduction, should there be certain liquidity-producing events, including the sale of majority-owned equity interest in any of the company's existing properties or the refinance of a mortgage loan on an existing property. We expect to satisfy the $15.0 million principal reduction through cash available from operations or from one of several potential liquidity-enhancing events we are currently exploring," said Kimberly Schaefer, chief executive officer. "We view the Mason resort as an important part of our portfolio and we expect to continue building long-term value in this property."
  5. I love the Mason Great Wolf Lodge and hope that it will continue to operate for years to come.
  6. GE should not be so piggish. The economy is getting worse, not better. Should they foreclose on the Great Wolf Lodge, who do they expect to sell it to? Seriously! Nobody has money now, especially for investing in the entertainment industry. In tough times, people cut out luxuries first. Should GE not make a deal, it will be stuck with a property that it can't sell for quite some time.
  7. In this shrinking economy, who can GE Capital find to buy the Great Wolf Lodge? It is in their best interest to extend the GWL's mortgage.
  8. I really do miss the old Phantom Theater. It is the one ride I miss the most from Kings Island's past.
  9. Though my son loves Nickelodeon Universe, I'd rather see H-B make a comeback.
  10. My Top 5: 1. Flight of Fear 2. Racer 3. Beast 4. Vortex 5. Adventure Express Interesting that my Top 5 are all coasters. I like flat rides, but none enough to make it to the Top 5, not since Phantom Theater was dismantled for SDATHC anyway. That was a Top 5, but it is long gone.
  11. I have not read anything new about the Great Wolf Lodge. I surely hope that the corporation doesn't shut down our Mason location.
  12. I would like to attend. Even if I am still temping, I can afford the ticket. How do I sign up?
  13. What is wrong with the Loose Moose? I have enjoyed excellent meals at the restaurant.
  14. I hope that GE doesn't foreclose on the Great Wolf Lodge. Let's assume for a moment, that GE does foreclose on the GWL and then sells it. I am quite certain that the same of the lodge would have to change unless the buyer paid royalties to the GWL company.
  15. I wish that I lived close to the Mall of Americas and worked as a marketing professional at its Nickelodeon Universe. I'm glad that one amusement park is doing well in this lousy economy. Quite frankly, I'm partial to indoor amusement parks. I had an AWESOME time at Lotte World in Korea, wihch is indoors. You never need to worry about the weather.
  16. Mickey Mouse rules! He has theme parks in California, Florida, China, Japan, and France; a movie franchise; retail shops; billions of dollars; his own cable networl; and a girlfriend. What does Charlie Brown have? The poor young man doesn't even have hair! I vote MICKEY MOUSE 100%!!!!
  17. Hey - I weight 120 pounds, too! Ha ha. I've been cooking Thanksgiving dinner and as I watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade on TV with my family. I am cookiing turkey, country ham (with green beans, red potatoes, and onions), candied yams, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, green beans, mac and cheese, and cranberry dressing. Plus we have apple cider, white wine, rolls, and pumpkin pie for dessert. HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Italian Chef
  18. In spite of the melting US economy and turmoil overseas, I would like to wish everyone at KI Central a HAPPY THANKSGIVING. I hope that all of you are sharing Thanksgiving Day with loved ones and good food. Best regards, Italian Chef
  19. As some of you may know, I was laid off with a severance package back in January and STILL haven't found a new full-time job yet. I began the 2008 KI season in my 1st temp gig of the year, and KI has closed with me in my 7th temp gig of the year. The economy is bad, which is why I haven't landed a new full-time job yet. Thank God for temping, which has provided me with the ability to stay out of debt. I pray that when the 2009 season commences, I shall be in a new and great full-time job. Happy Winter, Italian Chef
  20. Thank you Kings Island for a great season. My family and I greatly enjoyed Nickelodeon Universe and Howl-O-Fest. And I enjoyed the big rides without my family - as my 4-year old son is too young for them. It was a great season. Happy Winter, Italian Chef
  21. I made it to Kings Island 29 times this year - a record for me. I was planning to visit a 30th time today, but didn't feel well. In addition, I visited Coney Island 3 times (twice while volunteering at an event), The Beach Water Park twice (once while on assignment), 1 time to the GWL, and 1 time to CoCo Key Water Resort. Now that KI is closed, I have no more plans for any park visits for the rest of the year. Happy Winter Off Season, Italian Chef
  22. Nope, I never have.
  23. I expect the park to be super-crowded this weekend in spite of the cold.
