  1. I'd really like an exclusive ability to live in The International Restaurant and work for KI's marketing department. Heck, I'd walk to work everyday.
  2. It is $4 in many places and will soon be $5. The oil companies are robbing the American people and neither party is doing anything about it!
  3. For the sake of eliminating the presence of Paramount, I really think that CF should have changed the names of Wings and Congo Falls. But does anyone listen to me???
  4. I have no such recollection.
  5. I shall only list rides at the park at present. I have never ridden: The Crypt (though I rode TR:TR) Backyardigan's Swing-Along Blue's Skidoo Go Diego Go Jimmy Neutron's Atom Smasher Nick Jr. Drivers SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom Bash Swiper's Sweepers I will ride The Crpyt as soon as I can. As for the rest, I am too tall. Best regards, Italian Chef
  6. It's a good story. And with all of CF's debt and the slowing United States economy, it is obvious that CF cannot expand.
  7. I would like to spend the night at the park. That would be cool. Also, I'd like to film a documentary at the park and a few low budget cheesy films.
  8. Indeed the park was crowded. My son and I boarded SDATHC at 10 a.m. and there was no one ahead of us. Right after we finished, the line was out the door of the castle! It was a packed day. Sorry that you didn't get too many rides in. Best regards, Italian Chef
  9. I would recommend Cedarbrook or Morgan's Riverside Campground and Cabins. You can read about both of them in a recent issue of Cincinnati Parent Magazine. http://www.aakmagazine.com/Articles-i-2008...r_Families.html The writer is a frequent contributor to this site. Best regards, Italian Chef
  10. Today I went to Kings Island with my son. We were there before the park opened at 10 a.m. First we rode Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle. It was the first time that 4-year old son ever socred - and he got 30 points! I received a score of 930. After that my son wanted to ride again, so we did. My son got 30 again and I got 1,150 - the highest of my life! Then we rode Lazytown Sportcopters. The wait was long, but the scenery was nice. My son then rode Blue's Skidoo alone. We then rode Timmy's Air Tours. After that we rode Little Bill's Giggle Coaster twice. We then met up with my friend and rode Timmy's Air Tours with her. Then the three of us rode Plankton's Plunge. It was the first time EVER for my son and me. We both really enjoyed it! Next we rode Phantom Flyers. The three of us then ate at LaRosa's in Rivertown for lunch and then rode the Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad twice. After that, we rode Timmy's Air Tours again - twice! My friend had to leave, so my son and I were solo again. We rode Fairly Odd Coaster twice; followed by La Adventura de Azul. Then my son rode Swiper's Sweepers and Go Diego Go three times. By then it was 5 p.m. and I decided to call it a day for me and my 4-year old son. Today was a glorious day at Kings Island. My son and I love the park. Best regards, Italian Chef
  11. I won't get on Drop Tower and SOB because they make me unconfortable.
  12. Today I planned on taking my son to KI, but since I read that there was a 60% chance of rain and thunder, I went to KI alone and will take my son tomorrow. My primary reason for going alone was that I wanted to ride THE CRYPT - and it was CLOSED!!! Many if not most of the rides were closed, so the lines were unnaturally long. First I went to FoF and the line was stretching outside at only 12 p.m.! So, I moved to Zephyr, which had a longer wait than usual. Next I went to The Racer - and only the Red Racer was operating. Its line was was long. Then I went to Adventure Express, which also had a long wait. Then I went to The Beast, which I figuered wouldn't have too long a line. I waited 50 minutes!!! After that, I had enough so I went home. Then I took my son to Chucke Cheese for games and dinner. Best regards, Italian Chef
  13. Sorry that you couldn't ride THE CRYPT. I haven't had a chance to ride it yet either.
  14. Nice digital camera. But honestly, the best show that I ever saw and heard at KI was Graveyard Shift. I WISH THAT Kings Island WOULD BRING IT BACK!
  15. I doubt that the river will return.
  16. I haven't ridden The Crpyt yet, but I will. Both times I was at the park, it was closed.
  17. I'll talk to my wife and see if she is interested.
  18. I'd like to, but my schedule won't allow it.
  19. Isn't the rule no shirts, no shoes, no service?
  20. My opinion is that I would like to liberate KI from the spirit of Paramount. Hence, if it were up to me, Congo Falls and Wings Diner would have different names. It is not an issue of copyright, but an issue of theming.
  21. I noticed this season that Cedar Fair dropped all references to Paramount from the park. Well, almost. Congo Falls is still Congo Falls, inspired by the 1995 film, Congo. It used to be called Amazon Falls. Wings Diner is still Wings Diner. It was named after the 1927 film Wings. Why didn't Kings Island change the names of these two establishments? In this poll I want to know if you think that Kings Island should change their names. Best regards, Italian Chef
  22. The top 5 things that I'd like to bring back/change are: 1. The beverage prices of water, soda, beer, etc. - I'd change them back to the 1972 prices. 2. Phantom Theater - I'd take SDATHC out and bring back the Phantom Theater with more animatronics and make it scarier. 3. Graveyard Shift - It was the most awesome musical I ever saw at the park and was only there for one season, I think that it was 2003. I'd bring it back. 4. The food prices - I'd bring them back to 1982 prices. 5. I'd change the name of Congo Falls back to Amazon Falls and the name of Wings Diner into Rivertown Diner. Both are Paramount movie names and should've been changed this season. Best regards, Italian Chef
  23. Around 4 p.m. my wife and I decided to take our son to Kings Island. It was VERY spontaneous. The park wasn't too crowded and the weather was cloudy. First my son and I rode Little Bill twice, which had a short line. Then the three of us rode Lazytown Sportcopters twice, which had a 25 minute wait. After that, my son rode Blue's Skidoo alone, followed by Nick Jr. Drivers. After that I bought blueberry ice cream cones for my wife and son, and we headed over to Festhaus to see The Country Line and sat right in front of the stage. I was very proud of my son because he sat still the entire time! We then rode The Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad two times in a row. After that, we bought SpongeBob toys for my son at the Nickelodeon Store. My son and I then rode Timmy's Air Tours. After that, the three of us rode Scooby Doo and the Hauned Castle. It was the first time my 4-year old son ever fired his ghost blaster. Sadly, he a had a score of 0, and my wife beat me 600 to 300 points! We left the park after that - and were there a total of 4 hours - and stopped by Chan's Asian Wok on Exit 19 for dinner, before driving home to Kentucky. It was a very enjoyable visit to Kings Island. Best regards, Italian Chef
  24. Was THE CRYPT closed today??? I hope so because I was going to go to KI today just to ride it, but was too tired after physical therapy, so I stayed home.
  25. I didn't notice it being any more or less smooth.
