Any word on the shows which will be part of the 2007 season? I worked in the live shows for a few years and we opened the doors the day the park opened in the spring and closed the last day of the park closing. I am hoping the quality of the shows improve this year. Back in 95 and 96 they had the house of groove show and retro repeat the beat at international showplace, it added to the atmosphere when the shows started up and you could here it all over. Now most of the time it looks so bare. Also at international showplace on the sides there are the peach covered door screens. those were sent from the warehouse in S.C. last year i noticed they were ripped and dry rotting, how sad it was to see. Also in Nick at the stage when i was a performer there they had the stage, looks like now they took out all the seats and filled it in with concrete to make a level surface, another disappointment on my end. Bring back the shows in the nature they are meant to be, an awesome, talk-able event they use to be.......

I would have to say i hate Italian Stunt job the worst out of them all. It is an ok ride but not worth the wait for me for such a short ride.... And I think it ruined that area where the antique cars were. I am sure there are alot of you who love the ride but I dont...sorry :censored: :censored: :censored:

What are you all talking about? I got word from Disney that this thing being built at Kings Island is nothing more than a huge Corn hole game....hehehe -

Lights out for School of Rock & Nickelodeon Parade

I agree 100% with shman, the closing of the show is a given, shows never last with the exception of the past ice shows....you might get a couple of years out of a show with a few changes in the show each year..... I worked in entertainment at pki for a few years as a tech and also as a performer. There will be new shows next year i just hope they have alot more, such as in the mid 90's they had good shows at International Showplace, back stage, nick theatre, paramount theater, festhause, even star trek whos green room was behind festhause... Alot if people dont like live shows, they prefer the rides only which is fine, but live shows are a big part of a theme or amusment parks atmosphere! -

Bring on the Pepsi, Roaming beer carts and axe the Paramount name...hehehe -
But i do hope they keep this ride around for a long time to come. So much has been deleted from the park since it's original days. Such as the Antique cars, I wish they would bring them back someday!

Sheesh whats the deal with proof reading? I understood exactly what he said....

Most fulltime jobs are hard to get. And as for the backstage(entertainment?) is done by the entertainment department. AT the end of the season alot of the techs stay behind to break down the show and props. Then in febuary they come back to set up for the upcomming season's shows.... PKI does hire some outside contractors for certain things. But they are hard contracts to get. Now that CF has taken ownership who knows.......

I am going to the aly & aj concert this Sunday, I hope they dont cancel it. And I also believe that when a concert is canceled you do not get the fees refunded. Thats why I bought my Aj & Aly tickets at PKI instead of online or Ticketmaster.com

Reported by: A.P. Web produced by: Neil Relyea Photographed by: 9News First posted: 8/5/2006 12:37:10 PM CINCINNATI (AP) -- An independent engineer hired by the state will supervise tests of a roller coaster that malfunctioned last month and injured 27 riders. Officials are still trying to figure out what went wrong on July Ninth on the Son of Beast ride at Paramount's Kings Island. Most passengers were treated for bruises but one woman was hospitalized with a broken sternum. The ride has remained closed, and investigators have narrowed the cause of the problem to either wood strength, maintenance or design. No final determination has been made, and the independent engineer will supervise as the ride is taken apart and tested.

I guess i don't buy too many items in the shops. I am blessed to be able to go to PKI whenever I want so I take that for granted. But this year I will so I can have something of the forever lost Parmount parks.....

Remember back in the day of Kings Island? The train ride had live actors and put on gun fights and all.... Now I look back it was cheesy, but when I was a kid it was so magical..... and bring back the Enchanted Voyage, the original dark ride Whoohooooo....... Yeah I know I will get shot for making this thread, so go ahead and shoot me I don't care... No, we won't shoot you for making this thread, but I will if I have to correct the 18 errors I just corrected in this post alone.

i think the stunt job is a good ride as long as i dont have to wait more than 30 minutes to ride it...lol i also think it was a good addition to the park if its one of my favs or not is represents variety... i just wish they would have left the antique cars ... yes they were an old attraction and in all reality not that fun but it is or was a part of the original park......change is good but sometimes its too much... i also wish they would bring back the sky lift thingy that ran above the entire park.... i know they had alot of problems with it but technology is alot better today.....
-
well wood is wood, it is not steel..... the ride might be fine then the wood can crack or split in a split second.... crap happens....if that was even the case....i know kings lsland does awesome maintence on all the rides everyday......
