I agree. I always say that a coaster doesn't have to be the tallest or the fastest to be great. I always get air on that thing, it's in my top 5 woodies. So many people walk right by Old Blue because it sits in Raptor's shadow.. it's sad. I'm guessing this is more of a front seat ride? We rode in the back seat and got one pop of air on the way out and nothing on the way back. It looked like there might be some opportunity for air up front, but based on our ride trying that front seat would be the only reason I'd get on it again. I disagree with you on that statement, you must have had a slow track on your ride. The back is where one gets the most airtime on Blue Streak IMO, try riding it at night when the track has cooled off, or after a rain shower. You will be flying out of your seat.

cedar point beach
PhantomTheater replied to Mr. Coastermania's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
That beach is there for a reason, it made CP famous! When your on the beach, you can see why the Point is "Queen of American Watering Places." -
Skyhawk did not return as an ERT ride this season, however Iron Dragon is open at 9.

Is Kings Island really strict on height requirements?
PhantomTheater replied to coaster queen's topic in Kings Island
As a reminder, it is State of Ohio law requiring amusement park operators to follow manufacture regulations on all rides, including height restrictions. If your daughter is not 48 inches, she will not be able to ride. -
I have seen, and ridden the stuff from the Euclid Beach Boys. They are great guys with excellent memorabilia, and who else drives a coaster car and a rocket down public roadways? If you ever get the chance, a ride in the rocket car is a must for any amusement park fan. As for Laughing Sal, the nightmares!

Cedar Downs is a derby racer to be exact, one of three left in the world! It is worth a ride. -
Cedar Point Advice

All CF parks give free ice water including CP. As for the heat, CP doesn't get as bad as most parks because of the Lake. As for the rides, everyone has there own preference. I'd say ride them all. -
The process changed this year, Early Entry people enter on the left side of main gate (Raptor side), as non ERT people enter on the right side (Demon Drop). Thus the pass is scaned at the gate, and there is no cross over point inside the park.

Cedar Point Entrances
PhantomTheater replied to goofywdw's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
There is no drop off area before the tolls! Just have them scan your ID then drive toward Main Gate. Right before the pavilion by Demon Drop is the drop off area. BTW, anyone with any type of admission, can use any of the four public gates at CP, including employees. -
Michigans Adventure
PhantomTheater replied to maverick2007's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Ride everything in the afternoon, when every one is at the water park. For food, drive the distance back to Muskegon. -
Terpy, you made me drool by mentioning Aunt Granny's. Quite seriously, I find Dolly's food as big of an attraction as her rides. Also, check out the train ride, it is an authentic full size coal powered locomotive, that climbs the mountain for a excellent view.

This is how CF operates racing coasters. Since the 90's Gemini has operated this way, and it is generally the red side going solo. Occasionally however, blue side stays open later, and there are the days in early / late season only one side runs (generally red). I guess this is part of making Racer like the other racing coasters in the chain. (or Gemini)

Wrong Brake run, DL's cars are currently inside Mean Streak and visible from the MCBR. Though she isn't, 100% wrong, as DL's cars are being used for parts on corkscrew's cars. However in any case DL was a Funtime ride as Corkscrew has always been a FUN ride. (PT hoping someone will get it.)

Kat, What type of carousel do they have?

That building cannot be removed, as it houses the launch mechanism for TTD.

If you are not at least the minimum height, you will not be able to ride. The park is required by state law to follow all manufacture regulations, and that includes height restrictions. If you are shorter than the stick, you will not be able to ride.

I must say, in three days how did you miss Blue Streak and Wildcat? Over all a good TR.

The train and crew are good this year, of course last time I was there BB hadn't opened yet. I ride it because I love trains, especially steam powered locomotives. My complaints are, the short song list after couple of trips it gets annoying. Also, I wish KIMVRR had CPLERR's policy of "this is not the end of your journey if you choose so, you may stay on and ride again."

Cedar Point puts Chaos flat up for sale
PhantomTheater replied to Brandon's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
This upsets me, for chaos is one of my favorite flats. Of course I liked it better at its original location by corkscrews station.
