  1. The dinner it self was named after the 1927 movie, which won the first academy award for best picture. Cedar Fair removed all of the movie references, but the name can stay because wings can refer to many things.
  2. Random Images! Cedar Point had intresting ads in the 80's. Was this the ad angry beaver?
  3. I lost a pair of sunglasses on Raptor a few years ago, last year I was attacked by mantis' restraint and broke another pair. A near loss of a winter hat on corkscrew happened, it got blown off my head an luckily landed in the car behind me.

  5. Double Loop, Raging Wolf Bob's, Villain, Rocket Ride and Gold Rusher at GL. (note the Dipper is SBNO) White Water Landing and Shwabinchin(sp?) at CP Kenton Creek Keelboat Canal, King Kobra, Phantom Theater and Flying Eagles at KI. Sorry, couldn't just name one.
  6. I would love to see a non-musical at KI, my favorite show at CP is the Tell Tale Heart. KI should incorporate classic literature as well.
  7. I also love the sound of a working band organ on a carousel, nothing sounds more amusement park than that. Other sounds i like are Arrow lift hills and breaks; locomotive whistles, bells, and chugs (Dollywood's is the best); a wooden coaster flying by; a wooden coaster's up stops spinning while sitting in the breaks; Geauga Lake's log ride lift; "arms down followed by squealing tires on TTD; the puttering of antique cars; the sound of a hard hit on dodgems; finally the sound of gooing through The Beast's tunnels.
  8. Woman points at Flight Deck "That must be the new one their building" Kid in line for SOB points at the second hill "look it's The Beast"
  9. Two rides were installed during that time, Maxair in '05 and Skyhawk in '06
  10. CP didn't announce Maverick to September, even though they had track segments up. Heck Dragster was announced in January. I am saying no announcement anytime soon.

  12. Ride Sally Ride are lyrics from Mustang Sally, so could it be the Mustang.
  13. Magnum was not even down for a full 24 hours. It crashed on Saturday, they removed the two crippled trains and began one train operation on Sunday. Of course Magnum is one of the star attractions, as Wildcat is not thus they are not rushing to to get it open.
  14. I went on opening day, the new admission system works with KI passes with no problems. Also one gets in for "point perks" without any problems.
  15. A similar article This one from The Cleveland Plain Dealer. It contains more great Kinzel quotes.
  16. I was wearing a blue CP jacket yesterday waiting at The Beast entrance right before closing when i get asked "Do you work here" by a guest. After i said no they walked away and about a minute later a group of kids come up and they ask "is The Beast closed?". I said that its open and they proceeded. How do i get confused for a employee twice within five minutes.
  17. Actually, there were two flags still hanging in the underneath ques, but everything else was gone.
  18. I find it interesting that Raptor, Corkscrew and Space Spiral are on the Coke machine, does this mean Coke is going back to CP?
  19. A KI commercial was on TV today. Its got me excited for opening day.
  20. Hercules at Dorney Park, I thought my brains were shaken out.
