  1. And to reiterate, Diamondback's footing work started with the station, transfer track, maintenance shed and midway drop on opening day 2008. No footings have been poured yet for the rest of the course until the middle of June I think. If I'm wrong someone correct me please.
  2. No big deal. It's been a long day at work for me. No hard feelings.
  3. As I said before, I meant I couldn't care less. I wasn't thinking while typing.
  4. Dang it! I meant I couldn't care less.
  5. I could care less what the color of the ride is as long as it's a good ride.
  6. Welcome aboard, InTheMiddle! The reason some are sure Banshee is the name is because Cedar Fair did trademark the word on 4/24/13: http://www.trademarkia.com/Banshee-85913369.html And here's the list of products that the name might be used on: Metal key chains Souvenir magnets Posters, postcards Non-metal and non-leather key chains Amusement park rides Amusement park services
  7. I thought the same thing, Hank.
  8. From videos I watched, it looks as if there are some buildings and part of the Dragon Fire roller coaster under Leviathan's brake run. Maybe that's why the brake run is raised that high. I don't think Kings Island's will have that problem if it's a B&M giga.
  9. What IF it's a B&M launch coaster using the LSM system? Walter Bolliger did say that if a customer wanted a launch coaster they'll respond to them favorably. Here is the quote of what he said in an article I posted on here back in February and here's the link as well: http://www.newsparcs.com/en/article/00006007-how_bolliger_mabillard_established_its_strong_reputation_interview_with_director_walter_bolliger I think it could be a different approach for the park to install a B&M launch coaster, and I know some of you will say that the park already has 2 and we don't need another one. But Cedar Point has 3 (TTD, Maverick, & Wicked Twister) and Kings Dominion has 3 (Volcano, FoF, & BLSC).
  10. To me any B&M will be a great addition to Kings Island. My favorites are the hyper, inverted, and flying so far. Hopefully the wing coaster will be on that list when I ride Wild Eagle in early July.
  11. From what some people have posted Busch Gardens and B&M made an agreement not to build any dive machines in the U.S for certain amount of years after SheiKra and Griffon were built. Maybe that's why none gave been added to any other park. I don't know if this is true it not.
  12. Are we avoiding the B&M dive machines like the plague? Yes they have a small footprint, but why can't Kings Island build one that has a large footprint that can fit in a spot like where SoB stood? I don't think there are laws that said it can't happen.
  13. ^^I said I'd like to see the park get one. Do I think they would be going with one? I don't know, your guess is as good as mine.
  14. Busch had exclusivity clause with B&M on the Dive Coaster model for a number of years after SheiKra and Griffon were built. I wonder how many years was this exclusivity clause was suppose to be? You think it might already be expired?
  15. What about the guys who not only cut of their sleeves, but also cut out basically the whole side of their shirts? Especially if you got man boobs. (shivers in disgust)
  16. How about this one?
  17. I would like something like Montu, it's my favorite inverted coaster.
  18. What other type of B&M would you like to see at the park? The dive machines might be boring to you, but I've never been on one, as well as the wing coaster (I'll get to ride Wild Eagle in July). I have been on all but 2 B&M designs (dive and wing coasters are the 2). Some people think the B&M flying coasters suck, but I like them better than the Vekoma flying dutchmans. I've ridden Superman: Ultimate Flight at SFoGa and found it to be a fun roller coaster. Some don't like thier hyper coasters and prefer an Arrow. Intamin (never been on an Intamin hyper/giga because of problems with the lapbars), or a Morgan, but Diamondback is my favorite by far.
  19. You know what I was thinking? Let's say just for fun that maybe Cedar Fair is trying to get every B&M model installed in Ohio. Here are the models that both Ohio Cedar Fair parks have: Cedar Point: Raptor (inverted) Mantis (stand up) Gatekeeper (wing coaster) Kings Island: Diamondback (hyper coaster) So that leaves us the dive machine, flying coaster (won't happen at Kings Island since they have Firehawk), sitting coaster (like Kumba), and a floorless coaster. I'd like to see, out of the other 3, the dive machine because no other Cedar Fair park has one and it'll be the only one in the Mid West.
  20. It looks like they're digging more holes for footings behind Sling Shot in the area where King Cobra's lift hill and drop once stood.
  21. That would be cool, nice little ride. Could the haunted theme be in reference to the Demon that used to run the land over there? Maybe an Intamin launch coaster like Cheetah Hunt, Maverick, ISpeed or Formula Rossa. Make a reference to the Screamin' Demon... call it Speed Demon.
  22. The footings we see in these pictures could be for the station or the train maintainence shed, if it is a coaster. Look at Diamondback's station during the early construction stage in this picture from rcdb.com: http://rcdb.com/4253.htm?p=22250 Notice how small the footings are in the station and maintainence shed areas compared to the tracks' footings? Actually the placement of these footings looks nothing like the pic you have posted. I was actually referring to the picture of the construction site at Kings Island, not I305 pictured in Hendrick's post. My bad.
  23. ^ Don't forget the longest too. The longest is 3,188 (Sheikra), I think.
  24. Crud, I forgot that one in my big list o' everything KI could add! Come to think of it,a Dive Machine wouldn't be so bad at KI...different from everything else, so no "it competes with Diamondback/any other ride in the park" problem, and Cedar Point doesn't have one either...and they could design it to run numerous trains at once, for excellent capacity... And could it even be the tallest dive coaster in the world at 308 ft.? Who knows.
