Nice TR man. I enjoyed those pics of Sea World. Haven't been there in a while.

^It is true that Universal does a great halloween event both here in Florida and in California. This year though was very weak. From the houses,-besides Saw, The Wolfman, and Dracula-, the Bill and Ted show, and even the scare zones. I hope they really make it better again next year. This isn't to say you shouldn't go if you have the chance this year, it's just past years have been better; as most things like this fluctuate in quality. The major problem though is HRRR isn't opened during HHN. Honestly, I've yet to hear a good reason why but whatever. I rode it during the normal park operating hours. Thanks for the comments.

Man Faces 10 Years For Assault On KI Security Officer
dragsterfan420 replied to Jasper's topic in Kings Island
Tis is beyond ridiculous. Those people deserve every minute of their jail time. I've actually put up with some really disruptive people in parks and it's very annoying and almost ruins your day. I can't imagine this security officer getting his nose broken. He should of tasered the guy. -
Great pics. I thought the dead Blue Man Group, picture 13 on the first page, was pretty funny.

^^The only reason the kid got to go in the water was because no one was around. From the front of that ride (Jurassic Park River Adventure @ Islands of Adventure) where the ride ops sit they cannot see the drop. Also there is no camera facing that direct direction. Should there be? Probably, but theres not. Ride ops usually do their jobs very well, please don't blame them for idiotic kids who wear hats on a ride with a 85 foot drop.

I, for one, have always wondered why KI doesn't have an online store. Even back when Paramount owned it I remember going online and trying to find the online store, but to my avail there was/is no such store. I think KI, and Cedar Fair, would make great profit of an online store. For instance think of all the people who live out of state (Ohio) or too far to go to the park to just buy a shirt? For me, a person who lives in Florida, I would use a KI store a lot! Right now I only have two KI shirts, but would have many more if I had the option of buy shirts online. Plus all the other things that come with an online store: postcards, shot glasses, other miscellaneous souvenirs.

Yeah I will create a separate TR for Howl-O-Scream, but first here's more pictures. : HRRR turn out of the picture spot. The top part of HRRR's "treble clef" element. Heading to the Frankenstein house I got some pretty good angles of HRRR. The pre-rain clouds were rolling in. Look at all them stairs. A mess of supports and track. Two of three MCBR's. A better view of the whole treble clef. Boy do I love the Express pass. Skippin' in front of all these people. They did this projection thing at every house. Text the number and figure out what it is. It's pretty cool. And I'll end this set with the Rocky Horror Picture Show Tribute Sign. While I didn't go see it, everyone I that has went this year has told me it was great.

Yes, and in my opinion it would be a good decision. I love Asian food but not Panda express.

I hope they make Oktoberfest like it used to be. Really well themed to the German Bier Festival. Redo the shrimp shack, keep Viking Fury, bring back Der-Spinning Keggers, take the country show out of FestHaus and make FestHaus seem German again.

I agree with others who've said a B&M invert. Really anyone would be fine with me: Raptor, Montu, Alpengeist, Dueling Dragons, etc.

I really hope SoB doesn't close indefinitely. If only they could spend the money to really fix it and never have really bother with it again...

To begin with, this was my second HHN trip. I went for a brief time during HHN XI but was too scared to stay very long. (I was 11) lol <img src="http://www.KICentral.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> Also, let me start by saying that this year's houses were very well themed and very exciting. Here's my reviews:(<u><b>SPOILER ALERT</b></u>) <u><b>The Wolfman (Soundstage 22):</b></u> This was my first "house" of the night. Growing up watching Universal's classic monster movies, The Wolfman and Dracula being my favorite, I was really anticipating getting into this house. Luckily I purchased an express pass and basically walked right into the "house". Upon entering, it looks like you're in a forest. You can feel and hear the wind, smell the trees, and also hear howling in the distance. Anyways, at some points you walk through the given tight area's where people jump out at you but their were also some fairly large rooms. Everyone who was portraying the Wolfman looked completely real and even got on all fours at some points. Like other houses this year there was one particular part where the "Wolfman" was above you attached to a harness jumping over the walls roaring and a part where he tries to strike you from above. This was overall my 3rd favorite house of the night. I'm going to give it an <b>A-.</b> <u><b>Dracula: Legacy in Blood (Soundstage 23):</b></u> Dracula's house was up next on my stroll through the park so in I went. Once you enter, you instantly believe you are at a castle somewhere in eastern Europe. It is really cold in this soundstage, windy, and noisy(none of which is a bad thing). This was my favorite house this year. It had it's fair share of scares as well as ghostly women hovering above you throughout your trip through the maze. The entire area looked an felt like you were in a castle. If you were "inside" of the castle the air was calm and the scares were constantly coming. Once you stepped "outside" of the castle, though, it was insanly windy and cold. For these reasons and more made it my favorite house of the night. <b>A++</b> Next up was... <u><b>Frankenstein: Creation of the darned (Soundstage 23):</b></u> Frankstein was a pretty cool house. These last three houses would most likely as good as they were because they were in a soundstage. Frankenstein was no exception. While this house gave me the most scares, or startles, it wasn't my favorite. The blood and guts portion of the house mixed with an evil experiment type of feel were amazing. The main thing that through me off were how the "monster" throughout the house looked. They all had some LED thing on their chest and to me didn't look that good. Other than that it was a good house. <b>B-</b> <u><b>Leave it to Cleaver (Disaster! Queue):</b></u> This house is in a tie with Saw as my second favorite house of the night. From the extreme gore of it to the insanely funny humor, this one left me with a smile that could rival that of the smile on the masks. You enter into a butchers shop and then go behind the scenes to see how "Meetz Meat's" get there famous meet. Let's just say it isn't from cows, pigs, or chickens. <b>A</b> <u><b>Saw (Jaws Queue):</b></u> This house is tied with Leave it to cleaver because of the attention to detail. I wasn't even paying attention to the actors because I was looking around and examining everything. Even though I was doing this some of the pig headed accomplices of John, or Jigsaw, did manage to startle me. At one point you do see Jigsaw on his deathbed which was pretty neat. Also, many of the other scenes from movies past were in this maze. <b>A</b> <u><b>The Spawning (Tent):</b></u> This house was pretty neat. A nice idea. The creatures are pretty cool especially with their glowing eyes which makes them even creepier than they already are. This one was pretty good but overall, but I didn't even jump and it didn't thrill me that much. <b>C-</b> <u><b>Chucky: Friends til the End (World Expo Warehouses):</b></u> Even though I really enjoy all of the Child's Play and other Chucky movies I didn't think this house, or tent, was going to be that great. Overall it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great thing. The best thing in it was the "Vortex bridge" that makes you feel like you are spinning. It was pretty cool to see Chucky in his own house but that's pretty much it. <b>C</b> <u><b>Silver Screams (Parade Warehouse):</b></u> This years staple house was not a favorite for me. While it was cool to see many movies envisioned in one house it didn't thrill me nearly as much as the Wolfman or even Saw. "The Strangers" and "Army of Darkness" rooms were definatley my favorites in the house. <b>B-</b> Here's the first batch of pictures: <img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2606/3966763196_0e41652aff_o.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> The main gate with my friend Chris posing before we went in. <img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2606/3965985035_5ffbc7a40e_o.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> As many of you might know Chucky is one of the headlining characters this year. Along with Saw, the Wolfman, Dracula, and Frankenstein being the most famous. <img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3532/3966763920_6befbd10e3_o.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> After going through a metal detector, then the admission gate we were in and immediately started heading to the first scare zone; Containment. Here's the story behind Containment: "When an experimental bio-nerve gas is accidentally released into the atmosphere, the streets are filled with a toxic green mist that turns anyone that comes in contact with it into an infected, melting glob of flesh and blood." <img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2657/3966764424_9dd562557c_o.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> This guy was yelling "Look out, the infected are on the loose! Turn around!", and stuff like that. <img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2422/3966764800_b51ccee5f7_o.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> This is basically the Containment area. Of course it's better at night, but I got there early. I didn't like it that much and I don't undeerstand the purpose of the inflatable arches? <img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3453/3966765174_a4623dcb01_o.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> Here you can see some of the scare actors in white coats with messed up faces. Also, as some of you may know HHN typically has a lot of security personnel; which isn't a bad thing. <img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3469/3966765490_40c6f46d26_o.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> That girl had a pretty messed up face. <img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2455/3966765716_7e6a0ff962_o.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> Like most Halloween events, especially HHN, there was a plethora of fog. This is coming to the end of the Containment scare zone and heading towards The Wolfman house. <img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2531/3966766176_dfb3ee3410_o.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> After The Wolfman house and Dracula's house (my favorite) we headed towards Frankenstein: Creation of the darned. <img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3170/3965988199_1f9d4a0f53_o.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> And the last photo for this set is of the next scare zone; Apocalypse: City of Cannibals. Here's the background of Apocalypse: "A whole civilization of war-like carnivorous humanoids emerges from the sewers and underground tunnels of New York, looking for fresh food. Half-humanoid, half-beast and ravenous, these tribal cannibals invade the streets of Manhattan. No one is safe!" All comments are welcomed and appreciated.

Intimidator Poll
dragsterfan420 replied to nhimes90's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I voted for Intimidator 305. Even though I have some doubts about the ride I still think it will be great. That first, tight, high speed, turn coming of the drop looks like it will pummel you with forces. Even though I think Carowinds Intimadator will be a great B&M Hyper, possibly even better than DB, I still have some faith that I305 will be better than Intimidator. -
I got the little flyer in the mail yesterday to renew my KI season pass. What sucks is that I live in Miami and can't go to the parks on those days... I'm gonna try and get my aunt to get me the season pass on one of those days because it's a great deal for the gold/parking benefits.

^Yeah. Now they just tell you when you are passing White Water Canyon, the family raft at Boomerang Bay, the train house, and the fake village. Also they continually play "Cotton Eye Joe" and "A Land Down Under" song. Even though I love riding the train it has become boring over the years.

Thanks. I appreciate it. Thanks Terp. Also, great pictures rotag1299 and ahank.

I remember good 'ol PKICentral. Thanks for this.

The classic B&M roar is without a doubt the best sound Diamondback makes. Conversely, the sound I hate on Diamondback is the sound of the trim after the hammerhead.

I'm interested to see what this will turn out to be. I suspect, like some do, that it will be a documentary. Who knows though? Let's just wait and see.
