  1. The only thing is... there is no other trains PKI could use on SOB unless they get completely new custom trains. The track gauge on SOB is MUCH wider than most wooden coasters, and with the loop in there, you also have to have a specially designed train that would be able to traverse the inversion.
  2. Inraider... those are the rules, and the management and ride ops are very strict about the whole camera policy. I have in fact seen someone from my school get escorted out of the park for taking on-ride photos.
  3. Yea, the weather this weekend really has blown. And let me tell you, being woken up at 10 AM Saturday morning by tornado sirens is not a good way to start the day! Hopefully when I take my first trip of the season (*gasp*) to PKI next weekend the weather will be wooooooonderful (knock on wood).

I don't ever remember this being a Cedar Point website.
  5. This is going to get out of hand, so I'm just going to close the topic before it does.
  6. No, the site won't just be a bunch of "Invision Hacks"... I like to keep those to a minimum. The only message board hacks will be the ones that are on the current site. All I will say about the new site is that there will be a completely new layout, updated logo and graphics, and many new features... but I won't get into those.
  7. You'll just have to wait and see.
  8. Nice idea... but it will most likely never happen. At PKIU, the only person that actually does any HTML or PHP editing, is me. I take the site layout and scripting very seriously and I do not really trust anyone else besides myself to take under the large task of updating the different sections of the site. BUT, I am always open to people who would like to send in well written reviews, or very high quality photos. You can send your submittions to aaron@pkiunlimited.com. If you are complaining about content or lack of content, then just wait for the new version of PKIU that will be showing up within a few months.
  9. This topic will remain closed until PKI officially announces it to the public, and not just 2 random people at the Delirium video shoot.
  10. I wouldn't call that "black and white confirmation" until PKI releases a statement about TR getting a new ride sequence.
  11. I hate to burst your bubble, but in SOB's 3 year history, there have never been foot braces. You are probably confusing Sonny with Flight of Fear.
  12. PKI still has not received the new restraints from the company manufacturing them. Apparently the company thinks it takes longer than 7 months to bend some pipes to make lapbars according to Jeff Siebert.
  13. I'm not sure what the matter is, the forums allow certain types of images and file sizes. Your best bet is to either upload or get the URL of a GIF image that's equal or less than 65*65 pixels.
  14. The sign is still just plain white and black... but it can now do some unique animations and other fun stuff like that.

Hey man, I hope you enjoy the site, and have some fun!
  16. Please do not use excessive amount of emoticons and puncuation, also, I don't believe height restrictions for Delirium exactly fits into the "Trip Report" forum.
  17. Thanks to Kristin, PKIU will soon be posting a video of Delirium in action. I'll post the news on the main page as soon as it's uploaded!
  18. I believe The Bat is long gone... I'm pretty sure they scrapped it when they dismantled it.
  19. Too bad I won't be able to make it... I'll be at Busch Gardens Tampa ridin' Kumba! *drools*
  20. Dear Valued Season Pass Holders, The 2003 season is almost here and we couldn't be more excited about one of the newest additions to the park, DeliriumT, a powerful edge-of-your-seat attraction that swings and spins its riders 137 feet in the air! But we need your help! In order to make our upcoming Delirium photo shoot a success, we are looking for all you thrill-seeking season pass holders who would like to be a part of this opportunity. The photo shoot takes place Friday, April 4, and in return each person who participates will receive two admission tickets - a value of $42.99 each! - good any day the park is open to the public. It's going to be a fun-filled day, but it will take a day! We ask that all extras be available from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. - no early exits please. But not to worry, lunch is on us! Since we want to pretend it's the middle of summer, we also request that participants dress the part, i.e., solid, brightly-colored short-sleeved shirts (without logos please) and shorts (if temperatures permit). Just in case there is still a chill in the air, a jacket might be in order! Due to the nature of photo shoots, extras might have to ride Delirium multiple times (the more the better, right?) throughout the day with possible long waiting periods in between. Keep in mind that Delirium riders must be at least 54 inches tall. If you're interested in having the chance to ride the park's newest thrill ride of the season before anyone else, please reserve your spot on the list by sending your name(s) age(s) to kylee.bernardo@paramountparks.com or call (513) 754-5312. The first 100 pass holders to RSVP will be used. Please fill out the attached photo release (so we can take and use your picture) and bring it with you the day of the photo shoot. Those under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian cosign the attached document. Thank you in advance for your interest. We look forward to seeing you in April!
  21. Yes, I'm sure that's going to slow everyone down at the entrance of the park, but it is for our safety, and I believe all Paramount Parks are currently doing this. Just yesterday Paramount Carowinds made a press release about their new security enhancements (which included new metal detectors), and I believe PKI should be doing the same very soon.

    PKI quiz?

I think PKI is referring to overall themes (like restaurants, characters, shows, etc.), not just themes for new and upcoming attractions.
  23. Everyone seems to believe I live right by PKI... when in reality I live more than 2 hours away in Carmel, IN (a suburb just north of Indianapolis).

    Chat Summary!

Yes, I would recommend people to use an IRC client such as mIRC, but to many people it is very confusing how to connect to the chat, so it is easiest to just use a Java Applet.

    Chat Summary!

I am trying my best to solve the problem... sometimes the JAVA on people's computers just isn't working right. But I believe Jeff's problem was that the PKI network would not let his computer access the chat due to a firewall that may be on their local area network. Hopefully we'll have everything sorted out by the next chat!
