  1. LOL Skyflyer's got the coast, but no roll
  2. haha, can't pay rides be flat rides?
  3. Yeah this is true, found out in my sup interview
  4. Yeah, forgot about the water rides. 3 types? 4 types if you want to include dark rides, but i wouldn't consider go-karts it's own catagory of rides. Someone's gonna tell us this is off topic, and 3 2 1...
  5. What? That doesn't make any sence. How is Tombraider a flat ride if it's a Giant Top Spin? How is Delirium a flat ride if it's a Giant Frisbee? How is Dodgems a flat ride if it's Bumper Cars? There are 2 types of rides in a park: Coasters and Flat Rides.
  6. Vortex uses some of The Bat's footers, if you look some of the supports for Vortex are bent funny to take advantage of the old footers. And if you look at the rafters in the station there is a half circle cut-out from the suspended track.
  7. I love Delirium and SDATHC is pretty cool, but my vote goes to TOMB RAIDER "With a fortune to spend in a thousand lifetimes, she was not yet satisfied" "FACSINATING"
  8. Plastic seats will GITTERDONE just fine
  9. I'm the guy who voted for Tiques. And I was talking about Tiques South, every Old Coney Ride should be like Tiques South.
  10. Flying Eagles, you get quite good at snapping after watching it for at least 4 hours a day, for a season and a half. Trust me... It will forever be the best flat ride in the park.
  11. I don't really see where you're coming from, what makes you think the park will have to repaint and redecorate every year? Tombraider is the most heavily themed ride in the park, especially in the que area and it still looks really good considering it's been there for 2 years, I know, I work there (sometimes). Plus the whole park gets trashed every day and it doesn't need to be renovated entirely every day, it's just a matter of picking up the trash and cleaning the spilled pop off of the wall. Also i'm pretty sure Riverbend doesn't repaint and redecorate every year and they have concerts almost once a week. I think a Timberwolf renovation would be great since I've never seen a band there that I thought was worth seeing.
  12. 1. Beast 2. Tomb Raider The Ride 3. Delirium 4. Drop Zone 5. Sling Shot 6. Scooters 7. Face/Off 8. White Water Canyon 9. FOF 10. Train 1. Rivertown 2. Action Zone 3. Old Coney 4. HB 5. Nick Central 6. Water Works (BB) 7. I-Street 8. Octoberfest
  13. I quote myself for italian chef
  14. That's the Picnic Grove... DUH Yeah Reptar
  15. The Beast in my opinion is the best coaster in the park. I worked on Beast Crew in 2001 and part of 2002 and fell in love with the ride. It will never get old. So why don't you guys go ahead and tell us what you love about The Beast. Happy 25th!
  16. Right on, that's one of the things that I love about Rivertown, the variety of rides. They're all unique and fun.
  17. I know some of these rides aren't in Rivertown according to the park map, but according to the ride ops. in 2003, that's how it was. My vote goes to the one, the only, the legendary Beast. ...and enjoy the rest of your day here at Paramount's Kings Island.
  18. Darn, I was really hoping they'd theme it to Scooby Doo
  19. They're both perfectly safe. Sling Shot is the biggest rush, awesome ride.
  20. Phatontom Theater / Scooby Doo and The Haunted Castle
  21. From what i've noticed, PKI usually does an all in one: new ride and upkeep of that area. Examples: Tombraider (2002)+ Revamp of Rivertown: new blacktop, new paint, new food stand, and more theming in the area. Drop Zone and Face/Off (1999) + Revamp of Action Zone: New concrete, and renovation of food stands and shops. Reptar and Wild Thorberries River Adventure (2001) + Revamp of Nickolodean Central. I have a feeling whatever area gets a new ride in 2005 will also recieve some kind of renovation.
  22. In 2001 and 2002 The Beast was paired with The Flying Eagles and Shake Rattle and Roll. Shake Rattle and Roll = Troika Flying Eagles = Scooters Thus you get T/S Sorry guys... back to the characters?
  23. If Train is a transportation ride, then why is it open when the waterpark is closed, ie pre/post season, before 11:00 AM and after 8:00PM on days that the waterpark is open? At these times the train doesn't make any stops.
