I will be out of town, up at The Point and lake erie the week of the 26th and 27th, but if the weather looks descent enough I definately will make it up for October 3 or 4th - that bonus Sunday may be a possibility as well, but I really want to go to the Fall-O-Ween festival, what are the prices for that?
-
I think I mentioned this in another thread, but Cedar Point did the same thing they had a page announcing the new attraction Planet Snoopy a couple years ago show up on the CP site before it was announced and immediately taken down, screamscape had a captured picture of it - same thing happening here, ironic that both times it involved Planet Snoopy

Last year when I renewed they gave me a new pass

Haunt WILL In Fact Be Included in the 2010 Season Pass
raptor replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Which poses the question, why even sell the regular pass, I mean for the small difference in price who would buy it? unless they didn't know any better -
Haunt WILL In Fact Be Included in the 2010 Season Pass
raptor replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Yeah, I just received the email, after they emailed me back yesterday and said the opposite, hard to figure -
Never said that they are the know-all, but it was interesting that they said they are in denial, that would indicate Kings Island must have said something about it, but they didn's say what, I was just wandering what they might have said, but perhaps screamscape is assuming that taking down the page quickly means they are in denial, I don't know

According to Screamscape Kings Island is in denial over Planet Snoopy, but there really aren't any details of what they have said

I arrived early to the Moody Blues concert at Riverbend so I decided to walk through Coney and I was very impressed. It has been a couple years since I've been to Coney, I really need to get back for a day. I knew they had added a couple new adult rides, but what I was so impressed with was the landscaping. They are really putting an effort into keeping the park pretty, much more so than the last time I was there, not that it was bad, but it really looked great, I love the new iron Coney sign at the entrance, that you walk under and I just noticed lots of well decorated flowers, and plants, as well as the shrubs really being trimmed well, it was great to see, I'm going to try to get up there for their Halloween Fest.

To me nothing can beat MF, it's so long, tall and fast and being the first of it's kind also gives it the sentimental factor, and if nothing else puts it over the top the view of the Lake does, IMO no matter what you build at Kings Island it still going come up short to MF in regards to the view, there is nothing I love more than getting to the top and looking out at the lake, and the boats, ect.

I emailed Kings Island, and they said the pass would not be good for the Haunt, but that it would be good for the daytime in October until the Haunt starts, that's good for me
-
Maybe I should wait for details, If the Haunt isn't included, I go up in October more than the rest of the year, since it's closed in September, I like cool weather not the hot Summer, though it hasn't been bad this year
-
I'll second The Beastie notion, I thought it was an outrage when they renamed it
-
I still have an educational Snoopy cutout in my closet that says: Who needs brains when you have batteries, with Snoopy holding up a calculator
-
Like Mickey Mouse
-
Hopefully the elephant will perish, and the ride can be much more enjoyable, like it is during the Haunt

Trail of Terror is the best for me, most of that stuff is too much people walking up and screaming in my ears, which I don't find scary just annoying, I like something with more charm, I would love to see just a big haunted house with interesting effects.

I love the weather we've had this summer, but then again I don't care for water parks, I love fall weather, and since KI is closed in September, it's been great this year to have nice non-sweltering weather!
-
Yes CP use to have The Bernstain Bears
-
I voted for Peanuts, I prefer a smart a__ dog, to something that looks like a piece of swiss cheese with eyes
-
Hey I like Scooby, but I'd rather see money spent other places, than royalties, but hey that's just me

You can ride Banyern Kurve at Kennywood, they brought it back this year
-
I seem to remember them pulling early info on the site before, well it may have been CP, they were working on the update before the official announcement and just wanted to see how well it was working and then they pulled it, only to appear when the announcement was made, Oh yes now I remember it was for Planet Snoopy, before the official announcement, they uploaded the announcement for a test run, then quickly pulled it, but not before someone captured it and sent it to Screamscape, a couple weeks later it was back up.

Well, I could be wrong, but if you go back to the Golden Age of Amusement Parks, I don't think there was much character theming back then, except maybe On a few select rides, it was mostly about rides, entertainment, snacks and a place to hangout, and that's what it's always been for me. I certainly like Snoopy better than Nick, I don't like Nick, but even though it has been at KI, I have enjoyed the park, and enjoyed Nick U, because it's all fun, whether it's my favorite cartoon, or one I don't like at all it's still a good time.
-
absolutely, when I was a kid and went to KI every year, I had no idea what theming was, other than the scooby doo juice bottles, I didn't even notice characters, I was just interested in rides, Ice Cream, snacks, food, ect. I did appreciate nice scenery, it wasn't until the Smurfs invaded the Enchanted Voyage, did I even notice a cartoon character, hard not to notice them there. It was certainly all about rides and fun, pictures and statues certainly had no effect on how fun a place was for me, after all they were just decoration, not something real
-
I think the whole argument is really silly, when I was a kid, I didn't even realize there was theming - it was all about rides to me, and if I could've had a choice between a new ride and a statue of a cartoon I watched, it would require no thought, I'd be going for the ride - that's what amusement parks are all about - quite frankly It wouldn't hurt my feelings to have no theming, just pretty landscape and spend that money on more rides, however I don't understand the fascination with this Nick stuff, to me it looks like nothing but a bunch of boring educational crap! leave that for school, leave fun for an amusement park, just my two cents and I'm sure you'll all disagree, but I'm tired of looking at Nick
