  1. I would sit in the front seats of Top Gun, Adventure Express and Vortex.
  2. Funny that you say that. When Arrow was developing the first log flumes Karl Bacon, Ed Morgan as well as the designer Bud Hurlbut wanted to build a ride that would get you drenched but Six Flags Over Texas wanted them to design the ride so that you wouldn't get wet at all. After several tweaks and several guest surveys they asserted that most people wanted a ride that would get you "a little wet." Looking at rides like Congo and WWC, I'm guessing that assertion has changed. I've never gotten more than slightly damp on Congo. Then again, I always wuss out. I always sit in the front row and duck during the splash.
  3. If you go this evening you might be able to see a tornado, and I don't mean the one in the waterpark!
  4. The new Coke Cool Zone is going where the radio control boats controls were, not over there by the cars.
  5. I noticed there wasn't much harassing going on near that game Saturday as in previous seasons. Re: The front gate photo people. I just aim between two of them and charge through.
  6. F-15's are Air Force jets. Top Gun's planes were F-14 Navy jets.
  7. The belts have been installed, just like Racer and Beast in 2004, in a way that does not interfere with the rider's comfort. Sure, they're a little annoying. But just like in 2004 with Racer and Beast, we'll get used to them soon enough.
  8. KD's SOR 2006: http://youtube.com/watch?v=wEBWiDFjMxM
  9. There was a Beast manual from the mid-80s floating around a while back. I don't think it would be much of an issue, especially for a long-gone ride.
  10. Aw man! I wanted to go rollerblading on the track...
  11. Yeah but I think the swap is taking place at the windows, not inside at the processing line.
  12. Close, but not quite as early a close. I was there for that. The weather sucked bad, but they managed to stay open until 4PM with about 1000 people in the park. 2005 had less people, and they gave up at noon. And if there had been a preview weekend this season (which would be this weekend) the weather would suck too.
  13. I think 2005 takes the cake for that...
  14. I've been using my temp 2007 pass since September when I got it, I doubt there would be a limit placed on them now. I seem to remember being told that it wasn't mandatory to have them replaced.
  15. Former Magilla Gorilla Grill building. Across from Child Care Center, next to International Showplace. Opened in 2005.
  16. Remember that Top Gun (Thunder Road) was designed to fit in place with the monorail there, which is why the placement seems a little odd now.
  17. That's Shake, Rattle and Roll's queue.
  18. Across from the Child Care center on the Tower-side entrance to Nick Universe. Used to be Magilla Gorilla Grill or something.
  19. Tasts Buds? Never heard of those. (I know... That's what it says in the Media Center on the actual release, but I couldn't resist.)
