You may have noticed all the hints regarding people getting wet in 04, so I really doubt the water park is going the way of the dodo anytime soon. But I do think it will be massively overhauled and be a pretty nice place to be for 2004. Still, saying they're taking it out won't boost season pass sales. We'll just have to wait until another anouncement.

Phantom's props were crated and stored, from what I've been told. The park says the props and animatronic figures may make a return in a future attraction. They were on show at Fear Fest last year at the Paramount Action FX Theatre for Elvira's superstition, though I didn't get to see them since I decided not to ride it last year. They also played the Phantom Theatre theme music in the ride room until the movie started. You may see their return at this year's Fear Fest, though I'm not sure they are using them.

The people who got struck by lightning sued pki, pki did not sue them. And it was in the parking lot after the park was closed due to bad weather. I personally don't think it was pki's fault.

So, from these clues, does this mean Top Gun is being relocated to the grove and a brand new thrill will take it's place for 05, but in 04 we get water rides and something themed to either star trek or the thong song(sisco). Uh...k.

I've heard a bunch this summer, but does anybody remember the SOB commercials? All I can remember is like a stroller on the edge of the track somewhere. I never got to see a TR one either. Also, I heard one this year for Spongebob, and a ton from Scooby-Doo. The Spongebob one was Spongebob getting interviewed about his new movie, "you'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll rip your pants". And the Scooby one was Scooby and Shaggy's answering machine saying they weren't there because they were solving a mystery at PKI.

I'm a coaster lover. I like PKI better. But CP is still better for coasters. About the attendance thing, I'm pretty sure PKI had better attendance last year than CP. This year CP's ahead, but that's no shock with dragster. We're right behind them though.

Sorry I called you out on that one, I'm kind of angry with some family issues. But I'm not a member of ACE. Also, I wasn't directing the "If you hate pki don't go" statement towards you, it was someone else who said something about hating it. Also, I'm not gay. But if you call living making fun of people on this site, well then your definetly living. About SOB murphz, I was just pointing out that SOB isn't just circles, I also never said I really liked it that much either. I would've loved a steeper hill and some airtime would be nice too, still, the loop is worth the ride. And yes, there is nothing quite like TTD at PKI, I'd like an experience like that, and it could happen, just not in 04. I think 05 will bring a special coaster, and like you said, they haven't brought anything big since SOB(I still count SOB as world class), but thats all the more reason to suspect they'll be bringing something good for 05. However, to get back on track for 04, I'm gonna say Flying Super Saturator, possibly flat in the park, and possibly some other water slides.

There's a good statement someone in this topic already said, DON'T GO IF YOU HATE PKI. And you should get off this site too. DesignerBuilder, I had respect for your comments at one time, but your just some whiny enthusiast behind a keyboard who says he goes to pki to make fun of people. What kind of a loser goes to a place they hate, pays 80 bucks for a pass, then makes fun of people!? Thats like paying your worst enemy for the ability to yell at them. And, if you really are trying to build your own park, perhaps you might try not making yourself look like a total loser to every potential customer you might have someday. Snake, your whiny too, there are more to parks then coasters. CP is better for thrill riders, but for familys with a rider of every ride class(kids, thrill, intermediate)PKI will have their business. I think CP is a great park, but I love flats and dark rides as well as coasters, so my favorite is PKI. Wether a park is better or not comes down to what the individual seeks, and given some time, PKI will have a collection of coasters, as well as every other type of ride. And I think I speak for every respectful person on here, when I say that if you don't like PKI, shut your mouth, or get off the site.

Ouch...Murphz, that hurts. First off, PKI is world class, Beast is often ranked worlds best. Son of Beast, FoF, and Vortex(for it's time)are world class as well. Also, when I said original, I screwed up, I meant to say when PKI makes another steel it will be original, not that all pki coasters are original. Additionally, yes, CP has lost there land to coasters. I didn't say they should stop building coasters either, though they do need to look into some flats. SOB doing circles? I find that funny, because then you talk about how great TTD, and it is great, but it's still a one trick pony, and SOB has more tricks then launch, up, down, brakes. Also, I've never ridden Raptor at CP, but you compared it to FoF, isn't Raptor inverted? And finnaly, I never said a new world class steel would come in 04, because it won't(in my opinion). But as far as in the future, well, I'd guarantee it. To say they won't would be stupid. I'm hoping on 05. Frankly, there's way too many people in this topic complaining about no new coaster for 04, and how no one will come. I think if everyone waits just a little longer, PKI will bring thrill riders a steel that'll be top 10 material. You just have to wait.

Let's see here...will pki get a steel one day? Yep, probably world class, possibly world's best. Why? Because they aren't stupid, they don't go for quantity, they go for quality. CP has destroyed themselves land wise by building all of these coasters, but that's ok for them, because they've already got the rest of their park built up. With 133 years, that's what'll happen. PKI is just 31 and can compete with them? Yep, that's pretty amazing. We even had our own little animal safari, before Worlds of Adventure got their animal park. Our water park is free, and it's really a good layout with plenty of possibility for expansion. What I'm saying is, you build a park like a house. Foundation first, flats, places to eat, benches, variety of attractions, then you put up large attractions and coasters, the structure of that house. But the house will fall without a good foundation. PKI's building their foundation. They make money because they are for families, thrill riders are in families. Snake, your off by a longshot. They're not going to stop building thrill rides, TR:TR is a thrill ride, just not very intense. We've got The Beast, a legendary coaster. The best of the best. CP can't take that away from PKI. You want cheap thrills without thought, go to CP, it's a great park for coasters. But if you want an experience, great theming, dark rides, flatrides, cinci food, and quality coasters, go to PKI. When PKI hits their 133rd anniversary, I'd like to think if they keep with the stride their in, they'll be on top.

How come every topic started mentioning a new program on TR:TR is immediately closed? For instance, I will say, and this is true, that at the Delirium photo shoot a pki engineer(or something)told me that TR would get a new program come 04. Jeff Siebert said he was telling the truth. The pki engineer told me that they were shooting for a 5 on the intensity scale. Now watch, the topic will magically close...perhaps I will be secretly silenced due to heresy. I'm not sure why we can freely talk about rides being made themed to Jason movies but can't suggest a new program on TR. Go figure...

Uh, how about after a further review of your site and PKIU we at RE Studios determined that PKIUnlimited was the better choice due to popularity, site traffic, and timing of the new PKIU release. Lamens terms-I want more people to see the game. Despite the fact you don't endorse the game, The Jeffrey Siebert Fan Page made it to the credit line, and RE Studios will be endorsing it further in the coming games, unless you have a problem with that, of course.

Yes, the TR franchise has been an extremely successful video game, movie, and ride for that matter. But after the incredibly dissapointing Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness game released for PS2, 6 months delayed I might add, the franchise has taken a bit of a dive. More like a crapload of a dive. The game's bugs made it barely playable, it also was really nothing new in the series(the game was promised to reinvent the series). After this, one of Core Designs(makers of TR) founders, Jeremy Heath-Smith dropped out of Core and Eidos(publisher of TR)shortly after Angel's release. Then Cradle of Life released, despite the incredible amounts of advertising(especially at the parks)it did not do nearly as well as Paramount expected. Paramount now blames Angel of Darkness for turning people off of the franchise. In addition, Eidos has taken the Tomb Raider franchise away from developer Core, and given it to another video game developer, Crystal Dynamics here in the US. Though this really has no effect on the ride or PKI for that matter, I thought it was interesting how everything fell through so fast, and what they blame it on. And, in my opinion, TR:TR is the best dark ride at PKI(kind of one sided though), but as flats go, it's second to Delirium only. TR's still my favorite ride though.

Yeah, SOB used to be my least favorite ride, but after riding it in what is usually a painful area of the train, atleast for myself, it was incredibly smooth and enjoyable. Where did they do the retracking, if any? And if it's not retracking, what did they do?

You have to get some height before you can snap, to do that you just have to swoop. Go as high as you can, then swoop back down, when you feel your about 5 feet from the ground swoop back up and you'll be higher than before. Do this enough, and when you come down, the eagle will actually come almost to a dead stop, but the cable towing you keeps moving. Then the cable will "snap" from having to pull the eagle after it's slowed down, the other effect from "snapping" is that you gain alot of height really quickly. The thing about swooping up and down is that you kind of have to feel for when to do it, the ride has a few sweet spots based on where your eagle starts. But as long as you go back up about 5 ft. above the ground, it should eventually work.

I personally felt the first fearfest was the most dramatic, the military them was cool, and the entire park, or what was open to the public, was fogged. Also, my favorite fearfest attraction was open only that year, The Museum of Horrors. Though I heard many attractions kind of sucked that year though(I was too afraid to ride anything else aside from the freak show movie). I loved last years fearfest, but still felt it could've been better. So, what are some of these new ideas? And are they going to actually fog the entire place this time?

Rivertown, it seems really secluded from the rest of the park. Plus, I actually like TR:TR being located there, looks pretty neat at night. As far as employees, for the last 2 weeks I've came to PKI, the TR crew has put so many people thru that thing it's crazy, they were really trying. They really stood out to me.

I've got a question, 2 seasons ago the woods trail, the Trail of Terror, had a blacktopped path, then last season, it was just dirt, did they really pull all that black top up? Or just clear a new trail around it? And yes, that wasn't very scary, though it definetly was one of the most atmospheric, though I thought Trail of Terror was better than the Psycho Path. But my favorite was The House of Darkness, it wasn't scary, but the theming was top notch, loved every second of it.
