  1. Hmm, employee safety, so thats the reason those lights haven't gone off. Yeah, that does pretty much ruin the ride for me everytime, funny it's something so small. I hope PKI can come up with a way to do away with that little safety feature. Perhaps blue lights back where the ride ops stand, so they don't trip maybe(is that the reason?). I don't know, there must be a better way.
  2. Interestingly PKI has a float or something in the Reds Opening Day Parade today. I'll be marching in the parade myself, so hopefully I'll get to see it.
  3. Hey Scoobs, I said a hint, I never said New for 2005 on the map. New for 2005 would practically be an anouncement. Did anyone go today? If so, look to the left of The Racer. No words. A hint. I still might be wrong though.
  4. I'm pretty sure you can. Also, if anyone goes up tomorrow, try studying the brochure map very carefully, around The Racer. I've heard that a hint for the 2005 attraction is there. Also, if anyone has a scanner and goes, could you send me the map?
  5. They took out reptar's green seat backs? thats too bad, they looked really good. As far as colors go, I'd have to go with Vortex. I'm really glad they painted it a couple years ago, it looks brand new. Too bad the coaster's so painful. Also, maybe he was reffering to the trains, purple seats(i believe)and formerly green seat backs.

    Jeff Siebert

I'll try to explain the Jeff mania... Jeff could be related to the star of a tv show, people hold a tv show star in high regards because they are the sort of front man of the show, Jeff is the front man of PKI. He represents Kings Island, so like that tv show star, he is held in high regards. However, the real reason he is liked so much is because most information we get about the park comes from him, at every ride preview and media event, he's there, when you have a park question, he answers it. And to top it all off, he's just a really great guy. People just happen to talk about him, and it usually spawns from somebody saying, "Jeff said at the media event...", and then everybody starts talking about whatever he said, and he's involved, and gets talked about. That's why he's mentioned so many times. As far as why some call him god, that might be explained by what he says about PKI can be taken as truth 99% of the time, so what he says is going to happen, he's a source of information. So some people relate him to a god. It's all really just for fun, no one really considers him god. I hope I've helped to explain the Jeff mania. Oh, and just so you know, Jeff is getting a second video game, and Charles Infosino will be playable as well. Jeffrey Siebert: RELOADED, only available from PKIU in the Unlimited Pass area.
  7. It's my understanding that PKD built a show building for SDATHM on the former site of a log flume. Also, I don't believe PKD's uses the PT ride system, I assume it uses Sally's dark ride vehicles, which could be a reason that gates open and doors open, the vehicle allows for it more. Also, you have to remember that ours was converted from PT, so PKI did not need to theme the walls the vehicle does not face, so the car never really is going forwards that much, so there's really no need for doors and gates, but that is a cool feature. I still like the castle better, I think it looks neater, there's kind of resembles the Scooby Ghoster Coaster backdrop. Still, sounds like they did a great job.
  8. Just seen it, Infosino and Siebert were on it. That's a tricky ride to film, but they did a good job. I wonder if that's the reason the lights stayed on in the beginning of the ride all last season(they didn't change it back to turn off).
  9. Yes, weekends are crowded, thus the reason the Walk On times were scheduled on weekends. I like the perks, and they are a great marketing scheme by PKI.
  10. It's my understanding that the owners of Coney Island at that time, Taft Broadcasting, wanted to build a park more inland and away from the Ohio River, which had caused severe damage to Coney Island. They built Kings Island, and quickly it became a success. Taft then began construction of PKD. Afterwards, KECO was formed, which then purchased other parks, PCW, PC, PGA, etc. Paramount bought the parks from KECO and thats where we're at now.

    The Italian Job

Will PKI see the Italian Job coaster realized? I think not, however, the Addams Family one, in a few years I could definetly see that happening, it just seems like it'd fit the park more. As far as 2005 goes, I'm predicting the anouncment, or part of the anouncement, will be on The Beast's birthday celebration. I'm also claiming a prediction that it will be named Sum of All Fears, and possibly hold the new height record. Also it will be located in Coney Mall, to the left of FoF, behind AE, and to the right of SOB. This is all just guesses boys and girls, so take it for what it's worth. With that said, maybe it will be the longest coaster as opposed to the tallest.
  12. I think we still have the record for the most wooden coaster track.
  13. Yeah, PKD is a great park. Technically, we have the first LIM Lauched coaster because FoF opened just a couple weeks before theirs. They have several launched rides though, all excellent. I really wanna make a trip down there. They also have Shockwave, a clone of King Cobra.

    PKI Speils

My personal favorite quote was Stan Lee from 7th Portal, "IN CYBERSPACE!!!"(big shockwaves explode around him). Does anyone remember 2002's FearFest spiel when the park began to switch over to Fear Fest after the regular day, the voice starts out like a park attendant, than half way through the speil becomes an evil voice. It was actually pretty cool...As for TR quotes, the first time I rode it I got stuck in the Antechamber, and for like an hour every 10 minutes a pre-recorded woman would come on saying "Attention Tomb Raiders, we are currently experiencing a technical delay, we will return to operation shortly"or something like that.
  15. Often I don't even make sense to myself, but let me try to explain what I wrote. I understand what "metro-sexual" means, and supposedly many women are attracted to a metro man. I then made a suggestion(I know it's ridiculous)that Spongebob was gay, therefore this might be the reason teenage girls love him, and his merchandise for that matter. No need to get flustered(another good word).
  16. 100+ episodes? That's not what I heard, then again, I don't have very good sources. And yes, I think Flamerific is good vocab, perhaps I shall patent it...hehehe. I don't really know why teenage girls love SpongeBob, perhaps it's the whole "metro-sexual" thing, which SpongeBob may be a part of(yes people, I think the sponge may be gay). Well, time to move to an undisclosed location before all the Spongebob fans attempt to assasinate me. NOTE: TAKE THE ABOVE WITH A GRAIN OF SALT, TOO MANY PEOPLE ON THE WEB TAKE THIS STUFF TOO SERIOUSLY.

    2003

I only kept track of Delirium, 22 times. And I went 14 times to PKI, not counting Delirium's photo shoot, in which I was able to catch 8 rides on Delirium never waiting, gotta love PKI.
  18. It is infact Tomb Raider: The Ride. But don't feel too bad, we have the ride everyone talked about(PKI has a great marketing department)that was everywhere, from gaming magazines to theme park editorials. You may ask how I know it's infact TRTR, well, if you don't believe me, contact the park, you'll get the same response, it's TR. And it will use props from the movie, like ours, but I'm betting it'll be the statues that toured the parks. So maybe they'll change the color scheme of the TRTR insignia to be like Cradle of Life as opposed to ours being Cambodian, reflecting the original TR movie. I'm still not happy about this, but what are you gonna do. I'm just hoping the March anouncement isn't that PKI is going to call BB Crocodile Dundee's Boomerang Bay, it'd be a waste of an anouncement.

    Dreams

Yep. Before TRTR came out, right at the beginning of the season, my trips kept getting canceled by a friend who kept screwing me over, so I couldn't stop thinking about riding TR. Then I went, and it was closed. For like 2 solid weeks I had dreams about it. To this day, I dream about PKI and it's never right. A month ago I had a dream about the Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland. It's too bad the rides are never the way they are in real life, it'd be great to ride them, even in your dreams.

    The Italian Job

Sorry bud, but I don't think you'll be seeing Timberwolf get relocated anytime soon, much less to Rivertown. As far as where could PKI stick an Italian Job coaster, well, out of that survey, I think PKI would personally go with the Addams Family coaster as it seems to suit them better.
  22. That would be great, or they could use technifex faux fire. Just imagine, the grand finale of the ride, the entire base of the goddess is set ablaze. Actually, in retrospect, I like the whole spinning flood lights thing, simple, yet it's neat. They seriously need to fix the goddess' eyes though.
  23. Actually, it seems to me the styrofoam is holding together alright, but the aging process they applied to it seems to be falling off in spots. It doesn't seem like it'd be that hard to re-apply it, but I doubt we'd see anything like that for a couple of season's ateast. Probably best to just focus on getting the ride and it's effects to actually work at this point.
  24. Right now, PKI can become one of 3 parks. An amusement park, a movie theme park, or, they can become a new breed, a park with a great water park, great originally titled coasters, movie themed rides, great kids area. I'd rather see them have atleast some original names. This sucks, bottom line. Paramount just took away whatever specialness BB had.
  25. God I wish PKI wouldn't go this route. (crosses fingers it's PGA only)
