  1. Yeah, I know what you mean. I've got an idea for you, how about something to do with PKI's ghosts, you could do alot with that. Infact, I'm currently hammering out a PKI ghost story for something, but it's not a short story...

    2005 Poll

PKI's not in the coaster race, but that doesn't restrict them from building huge coasters from time to time. As for what's coming in 2005, well, I'd bet whatever it is, coaster or flat, it'll be amazing, so let's just wait and see.
  3. Yeah, Tomb Raider's an in incredible ride when it's working with all the effects, and even without all the effect it's still very good. And I agree with you Tanner, PKI's collection of flatrides is awesome and very diverse. I hope in the next few years we see another dark ride and another Huss Giant, in addition to a coaster of course.
  4. On opening weekend this year I must've heard over a thousand Lil John impersonations(Dave Chappelle). Like on Beast, stopped at the final break run, this little boy was like "YEEAAHHHH", then his family turned around and were like "WHAAAT? YEEEAAAH!!!!". I like Chappelle's Show, but my god, people repeat stuff from it constantly.
  5. Yeah, I went up to PKI the first week of June on Friday, hoping to ride it(I've ridden every FX Theater ride except this one)and to my dissapointment, it was closed. Maybe we can persuade them to let us ride it at Beastbuzz .
  6. ^^Yeah, I know, but since I'm a cheap b*@tard I'd rather save 5 bucks . Thanks for the help though!
  7. I can't send out my registration form until tomorrow, the deadline, will they still accept it?
  8. One night last year me and a friend were waiting for the front seat on The Beast, and they anounced that they were only going to run one more train through, and we were next for the front! The train left the station as fireworks went off, and the fireworks stopped at the top of the hill. Also it wasn't that hot, and fireflies were out. So front seat, last ride of the night, fireworks, not too hot, and fireflies made that the best ride on The Beast I've ever had.
  9. Yeah, it looks kick a**, but I'm still sticking by The Beast for its double helix, and originality. I'm sure Thunderhead's awesome, but nothing can beat The Beast's finale. That part through the station on Thunderhead looks incredible though. Finally, a reason to visit Dollywood once again.
  10. Better than Beast!? Never! Lol. I hope in the next couple years to take a trip down there, I'm glad you had fun.
  11. I noticed that Six Flags Magic Mountain is building a funnel slide. Will it have a tubing section? The same as Taz?
  12. Is friday a bring a friend free day?
  13. My favorite is Bond, gotta love how they explained away the fact that you were in a motion simulator. But I do miss The 7th Portal, it was always fun to hear Stan Lee say "IN CYBER SPACE!!!". I can't wait to check out Days of Thunder, it's the only FX Theater movie I've never seen.

    Who will it be?

Stxbomber answered tons of questions for me about TR and other stuff over the off season and very recently. I gotta go with him.

    Antique Cars

Ok, smarty pants, lets assume PKI loses their mind and opts to move the Antique Cars behind TR:TR. There's about one acre, if that, of field there. Barely enough space for a station, there would be no theming, and getting a path to it would probably require using TR:TR's exit. And the layout would be boring and stupid, and wouldn't really fit in amongst TR and The Beast. I'm not sure why everyone thinks thats like prime real estate back there and always says something should be relocated to it. Antique Cars in my opinion should stay right where they are, and no attraction should take their place. I don't think a coaster fits that plot of land as well as the Tiques do. Sadly, I do believe that the Rivertown station and its track will be removed, but I highly doubt that the Coney Mall side will be gone for good. As for 2005 rides, I think it's a good bet that PKI will see a new coaster next year, but I think you're looking at the wrong place for where it will go. But I'd say 2006 would be a likely candidate for something new to pop up where the Rivertown station currently is. NOTE: Anyone who believes that the Tiques will be moved behind TR, please take no offense from this, I'm just stating my opinion.

    BB Review

The theming's not done yet? Well, in that case, I'm glad I didn't go up yet. It sounds like Boomerang Bay turned out to be awesome though.

    Dollywood

Nice TR! I haven't been to Dollywood in quite a long time, though with the addition of Thunderhead, I just might. As for it being a "beast killer", I doubt it. Nothing beats The Beast, and I doubt Thunderhead is as rough and speed crazy as Mr. 25. On a sidenote, I think if PKI did some more work on The Beast's structure to where they could remove the mags(atleast on the incline before the second drop)then I think the ride could have one of the greatest airtime moments of any coaster(I believe it once did).
  18. I personally prefer our sign over theirs. The ride's color scheme is most likely due to the fact that they probably didn't know what the ride would be themed to when they placed the order for one. As far as originality goes, this ride gets a zero. If you look at their fun and safety guide sign, it even has the fake rusted steel look that pki's have, and the ride uses PKI's marketing lines. I wonder if in the que they have the recorded woman who says "Attention Tomb Raiders". Anyways, the ride may be fun, but they could've used theming to a much better extent, and came up with some more original ideas as opposed to just taking PKI's marketing ploys and pictures.
  19. I thought it was alright, not very funny, but alright. The guy who recruited the audience members did his job pretty well, the theater looks great, and it had a nice looking set. I thought their trivia was sort of funny, and it was atleast better than your run of the mill movie trivia. The spongebob part didn't really impress me that much, though I liked the name of Titanic 2, Still Cruising. Hopefully, in the coming seasons, they can have some really good special FX other than bubbles, sounds, and green screens. As for the show being bad, well, the last show I seen before this one was the Tomb Raider Stunt Show, so this was like watching Chicago. Infact, I'd go as far to say that the Tomb Raider Stunt Show is the worst show I've ever seen. No offense to anyone who got enjoyment out of TR, good for you if you did, but I didn't.
  20. I believe you mean Beverly Hills Cop 3, and no, it didn't say new ride coming, it says he's in for the ride of his life(it's set in an amusement park)May 25. There are alot of new signs, alot of them are pretty cool.
  21. All day long today, I heard "WHHHAAAATTT" and "YEEEAAAAHHHH". Even a little kid did it on The Beast, and then his parents like joined in with other Lil John quotes from Dave Chappelle. I mean seriously, I didn't go twenty minutes without hearing it. In my personal opinion it was never that funny to begin with(don't get me wrong I love the Chappelle's Show)but they've like ran it into the ground. I was shocked how many times I heard it. Did anyone else notice this?
  22. For the record, a couple years ago on the Psycho Path at Fear Fest the trail required you to walk under bodies of people that were tied up between trees and gutted. The fact that they are a family park didn't seem to stop them then, though I doubt they'd do that to The Beast. I'd like to see some eyes in the woods at night though, and maybe some stuff along the track.
  23. I'm pretty sure they weren't training them over last weekend. And thats a little hateful their bud. Anyways, the park's working on fixing things up for opening weekend anyways.
  24. Wild Thornberry's water wheel is usually sent out for refurbishment I believe, it will eventually be put back on. Atleast I think so.
  25. Hold up their Tom, I didn't get a chance to read your first post, I didn't know who needed the light. Also, quick suggestion, how can the ride ops run onto the platform if the ramps are up? They can't(unless they're good jumpers). So maybe we could like not hit the lights or start the show until the platforms are up. Of course that'd require retiming the ride sequence itself.
