  1. Looks amazing, but what a letdown...
  2. Nice photos! I really wish I could of gone, and hopefully I can go on Labor Day and there will be another meetup?
  3. Haha, yeah Jasper it does looks like that girl on Drop Zone! Why are girls probably around 15 screaming about toddlers playing the drums and mumbling?
  4. 1. Diamondback 2. Son of Beast 3. Red Racer 4. Top Gun 5. Adventure Express 6. Firehawk 7. Vortex 8. Beast 9. Flight of Fear 10. Invertigo 11. Beastie 12. Blue Racer 13. IJST 14. Reptar 15. Little Bill
  5. I like going up backwards so I am looking down. It makes the ride more fun in my opinion.
  6. We are getting a Ferris Wheel and Screamin' Swing in Coney Mall. Haven't you guys seen the concept art?
  7. You know Drop Tower and Flight Deck are one crew so no wonder why you like the crew at both rides! I also love them (not just because I know a lot of them) but they are always fun no matter how much attention their ride gets. Yeah I know. Everyone says that Top Gun's crew is (they said this before Son of Beast closed) with Son of Beast's crew. SOB & TG's crew were together in 2008 and earlier, but in 2009 Son of Beast crew also worked at Days of Thunder, until Son of Beast closed than they went to a few other Action Zone rides. And also, Isn't Drop Zone with Delirium? Cause there was a blond hair girl who is always at Drop Zone, and every now and than I see her working Delirium.
  8. Oh, and I forgot Son of Beast crew! I have friends there, well were there, and they were always pretty enthusiastic and fun. They are usually very fast at dispatching trains and alot of times had restraint races where they would have 1 employee on each side of the train and they would race each other. And who ever would be working the mic would say "And they're off, ___ is in the lead, Only 3 more seats until the race is over, ect." And when SOB would have it's problems, they were fast at calling maintenance.
  9. I already know Son of Beast is closed the remainder of the season, but on KI's website they now have "PLEASE NOTE: THIS ATTRACTION IS CLOSED FOR THE REMAINER OF THE 2009 SEASON." Oh, and they spelled "remainer" wrong, lol.
  10. My last visit it wasn't open for ERT. On June 14th. I don't think it was open for ERT. On June 10th. it was closed but because of rain like everything else. And the day before that it was closed during ERT too, I think. But all my other visits It was open for ERT.
  11. They should relocate the employee Baseball field and build a hotel there that has an indoor water park. And be extremely close to Boomerang Bay. Than in the summer they could have retractable doors in the indoor park and it would pretty much be part of Boomerang Bay. Boomerang Bay would be an upcharge admission, but included when you stay at the hotel. And if you bought a ticket to Boomerang Bay and wasn't staying at the hotel, than the hotel's waterpark is included with BBay admission. And maybe the hotel could carry the Boomerang Bay theme, make it Australian themed or something. And in the former Lion Country Safari Monorail lot, they should make a campground there. They could have certain spots for tents, RV's, and than have log cabins you can rent. You would get a great view of Son of Beast. From Kings Island Drive you would turn into Great Wolf Drive and follow that street until Columbia Rd. You would cross Columbia and the street name would change to whatever the campground would be named. Than you would kind of outline the perimeter of the park (can't block maintenance roads and landscaping building, etc.) And maybe on the road that leads to the campground have some food places and gas station? I think if Kings Island did all this, it could be a huge resort area and people would come here from all over the country for the Kings Island, Boomerang Bay, Campground, Great Wolf Lodge, or the other resort next to Boomerang Bay.
  12. Blue Racer's crew is the absolute... Worst! They don't even talk, they just check restraints (very slowly) and than hold they're thumbs up and usually don't even say "All Clear." My favorite crew is probably Top Gun, Drop Zone, or Diamondback. Top Gun's is fast and usually pretty enthusiastic. I love Drop Zone's crew cause most the time they are fast, they talk to me, and sometimes the let me just stay in my seat until I want to ride something else. Diamondback's crew is the most enthusiastic and fast, but I can't stand Kelly! If you hate being stapled than don't go to her side of the station, and if you have problems not fitting on Diamondback than go to her side and tell her to staple you and she'll get you 3 clicks atleast! Oh, and Beast's crew is pretty fast and very enthusiastic.
  13. Assigning seats sorta takes away some of the freedom of riding a roller coaster, which I think is a main part of being a Coaster Classic. Also, have you ever heard of a ride before 1985 that assigned seating? Well, Laser kinda, it opened at Dorney in 86' and Play Center in 82 or earlier and it has assigned seating do to it's compact layout it can't have a station with gates like most coasters. Instead you would just walk up near the station and the first 2 people in line get front row, and it continues until the train is full than repeats.
  14. Today in Biology we filled out this paper asking about our hobbies and interests. I said I'm obsessed with roller coasters, and the teacher read it than started telling stories. He said that he was on "The Millennium" and he looked to his left and saw a "loopty loop ride fall apart." First of all, It's Millennium Force. Second, on the lift if you look left you'll see Perimeter Road and Sandusky Bay, not any rides. And I have no idea what "loopty loop ride" is supposed to be, a coaster maybe? Whatever it was, it didn't fall apart. Than this guy next to me said loudly to the class "If any of you are scared of heights than go to Kings Island and ride "The Lora Croft" it's super tall." First of all, It's Crypt now, and when it was related to Lara Croft it was called Tomb Raider: The Ride not The Lora Croft. And Crypt isn't even tall, about 70ft. or so I believe. Than this same guy claimed that "The Drag Racer" at Cedar Point is now closed for good cause of a tragic incident two summers ago. Where do they think of this!?
  15. Some of these rides are pretty cheap. Maybe when I get older I could try to save up for my very on small Drop Tower or top spin.
  16. As much as I do want to work at KI, I live to far to work there. Instead I'll be riding coasters and doing a few of the Haunts.
  17. Only ones I've ridden on that list is. Cornball Hoosier Hurricane Legend Raven Beast Racer Beastie Son of Beast Mean Streak Blue Streak Viper American Eagle I voted Cornball. Son of Beast is in second, than Racer, than Viper.
  18. 1. Red Racer 2. Blue Streak 3. Blue Racer
  19. I'm confused. So is it a Gerstlauer Eurofighter or a Premier? And anyone else notice that Premier Launch coasters seem to be built in place of an antique cars?
  20. 84 Coasters also.
  21. I don't think it'll be a Togo, a GCI, or Aquatracks. I'm not even sure if it's a coaster. I remember last year before they announced the new LED Screens they showed CP's logo and slogan "America's Rockin Roller Coast" and said stuff like "This will be used alot next year" or something. It made people think they were getting another coaster, but really it was for the new LED signs. So I think it will be something totally different, and unexpected in a bad way.
  22. I'm with Giga, somewhat. We need a Screamin' Swing, but in Coney Mall! Anyways, Action Zone is maybe my favorite area ride wise cause Drop Zone, SOB, and Top Gun, but the atmosphere there sucks. It has no shade, it's just flat concrete with alot of rides around it. I think it needs a total retheme, but I know that isn't going to happen. So realistically, How about Congo gets removed an a newer water ride goes in it's place, one that's better and wetter (That rhymes!) Than remove Days of Thunder and build either A. B&M Invert, B. Intamin Multilooper, C. Intamin Megalite, or D. a new area. If it's a new area than there could be some older rides such as Flying Scooters, Whip, Cuddle Up, Paratrooper, Falling Star, and maybe a small coaster.
  23. That's the way I feel...I don't want to ride it so much that I get bored with it...God knows it will be quite awhile before Kings Island gets another "big one". Yeah I'd rather enjoy all my rides and have fun than get bored with a ride. On RWCW I rode Diamondback too much and got bored with it and felt sick. And we probably wont get another huge coaster for another 5-10 Years, and as of now We only have 1 cause Son of Beast is closed.
  24. Only 60. I want to get atleast 100 ride in this season though. But really I don't ride it alot so I can brag about how many times I've ridden it, I ride it because I like it, and I ride other rides alot too. Quality over quantity.
  25. I always used to love Invertigo, until last season I just didn't care for it anymore. This season I've only ridden it twice cause I only ride it if it's to the ramp before the station. I do think it's under rated, I'd like to have ERT on it sometime.
