  1. People are so consistantly negative. I hope it is open for Fearfest... I hope it stays open for a long time. It's by far my favorite ride and it always has been.
  2. We need something like Mystery Mine at Dollywood. That ride is REALLY fun! Plus, western themeing, anyone? hehe. I doubt we will get it though. We will find out when the time comes.
  3. If he does decide to ride, make sure its first seat on the RED train. By far the best seat I've sat in so far
  4. I rode four times today. 2 in the Red train, and 2 in the blue. I'm going to say this now, and this is my opinion. IMHO, the red train is really smooth compared to the blue train. Maybe it's the fact that the red one has been tested more, but I dont know. I sat in the front seat of the Red train, REALLY nice! It was so smoothe! Tried doing that with the Blue train, and it was bad. really rough. Sat in the middle of the red train, it was okay! The rosebowl was the worst. Sat in the last seat of the blue train. :-x. Enough said. I dont know, maybe its just my brain, but me and my friend both agreed to only ride the red train for a while. I love the new Son of Beast. It's still my favorite at KI.
  5. Yeah, it took give or take 10 minutes for them to get to me, yet again I didn't have anything major like this at all. I hope they both are okay. I hope there isn't any more problems, especially tomorrow because it is suppose to be hot out!
  6. I'm hoping it is opening early today. I need to leave the park by 2:30, so if it opens at 1:40/2 o'clock.. I'll ride it. I don't care If I'm going to be late!!!! *getting ready to leave for the park now* EDIT: Can't go to the park today. DARNIT!
  7. I went 2 weeks ago when a worker told me that they had the part, just no one to install it. Now, not here to start rumors. You know how realiable stuff said may or may not be. But I have ridden it 3 times without sound. It is awful. I don't like the fact that, 1. its boring, 2. I feel like it randomly jerks, and it jerks ya pretty good, 3. I miss the WATER shooting! It isn't worth a wait for No sound, and No water.. Which I think the water was removed by complaints. Not sure though.
  8. I think im gonna go tomorrow, JUST to ride it... like 20 times! I only rode it 2 times last season. Time to make up for lost time!
  9. Oh, I've been to Cedar Point . I didn't know they sold those right there. It's a good idea! Maybe free plastic bag's with a noise and eye holes cut out in them. That would be cost effective. They have a bag for when they buy a picture too! lol. Only kidding. This is a joke, see the post below! (and not making fun of anyone.. just to make myself clear). It is never a good idea to use a plastic bag, and please don't start using one now! be smart (trying to rhyme, didn't work to well)! And I'm just going to stop now because I am not doing much to help this.. I don't want 'dumbo' to fly away. I'd feel bad for whatever he'd land on! Not to mention how wet they'd get when he squirts water at them! I really like this elephant, but the monkeys are a different story! AHH! lol. In all seriousness. I would love for the Elephant to stay... and maybe for the monkeys to get some CLR or Lime Away so they actually work, and maybe the mist back? The elephant is just the icing on the cake... If this log flume was a cake
  10. A little story, off topic kind of but it is still relevant...Somewhat. If your alone, you wont get that wet. But me, and 3 friends rode it and the ride opp said she has not seen a bigger splash while working on that ride! The part right after we went down the hill, water was literally pouring into the boat until we got by the curve. Of course we were floating as normal but all of the weight - ehh - We got drenched. It was amazing because I have NEVER gotten that wet on a log ride (or seen a splash that high)! The elephant only worked for us. For some reason, it wasn't working before us or after us... Guess we gave it some extra water pressure. LOL. It was funny because we were packed in a log like a can of sardines, it wasnt my favorite but I can't wait to do it again.. But I hope this time I don't have to sit in front! Not that it would matter because all of us looked like we just swam, not rlike we just rode the Wild Thornberry's River Adventure. Back on topic.. I love the elephant, especially on a hot day. They should have ponchos on hand for people who hate the elephant. Thats my idea but why take it out because like others have said, that IS what gets you wet mainly.
  11. I miss the old wings diner. It was def. my favorite place in the entire park to eat.. Well, the only place in the park I'd eat, mainly because of Montgomery Inn. Yes, prices were high.. But I miss my serotgoa (spelling) chips and barbeque sauce. lol. I was really wanting to try the new one, but after what everyone has said, I think I will just go to Ruby Tuesdays, outside of the park. I mean, some of the food they serve is the exact crap my old school used to! Blah-up!!! Skyline and Pizza would probably be the only food I would eat. Skyline smelled so good today! (random. I know).
  12. Yeap!! They were empty, and looked like they were almost not going to make it to the actual drop from the incline. They did! I'm sure its just the new wheels and the fact that no weight was in the cars. (as others have said)
  13. Blue and red trains tested today around 2:20 PM. Saw from The Cyclone at BB. Would have posted eariler, but I had my phone in my car .
  14. I'm going to KI today, and I plan on riding it as long as there have been no breakdowns today.. eek! (or if the line is long)
  15. *sigh*. I hope this doesn't make the park busy tomorrow. It probably will be, being so close to the 4th of July.. But oh well. If rides are long, Boomerang bay here I come!
  16. Me too. I've hurd some songs where everyone just starts singing, like The Sweet Escape and Say it Right. I like it that they are making more modern. I was in the store and hurd Ice box and some other stuff. It was VERY clean though! Which is good for the kiddies.
  17. Sigh. All this excitement when I DON'T visit. Everytime I visit, except for one, they haven't done anything. I'm going monday, so hopefully it will be testing!
  18. I called. Dropzone- Closed Son of Beast- Closed. She did say SOB is really close to being ready, but there is no set date when it may open, on KI's customer service side atleast.
  19. Its a very, very small case of obsession compulsive disorder. I think what the issue that caused this was that I thought about it way too much, which I'm sure it was. Like they told me at KI, this rarely happens, but they can't promise it won't happen again. I love Kings Island, as well as Cedar Fair. I would NOT do anything to endanger them. I don't believe in 'big" settlements or sueing them to "get back what is owed". If something bad was to ever happen, all I would want is someone to atleast give me a sincre applogy, and check in every now and then to see if im ok. (im talking if this was a BIG accident.) Luckly, that's never happend. I am fine. I wasn't meaning for this to hurt anyones feelings or start any commotion. All I wanted to do was state what ruined my day on one of my formor favorite rides. Hate is a strong word. I was busy ranting, and still upset. It will be changed shortly. EDIT: I guess it won't be. I'm used to phpbb forums, and I guess you can't change topic names on SMF! I think that everyone also has to also understand that they were not there, and I can't describe it all, which is my fault.. NOT yours. But situations told online may seem one way, but actually experiencing them can make it turn into another. I'm not making a big deal about this. Notice that I didn't blow this up (media) more than one post on this site, which was just saying how my trip went. This isn't a big deal at all. Shoot, I'm over it already! I'm happy that the crews worked their hardest to make sure we all got out quickly and safely. I have said it before, but I'm going to say it again, The crews were all amazing for the most part. As small as this incident was, I'm glad its over. I don't think anyone realizes as well how embarassing it was. It was beyond me control, but iif I would have known it was my blood gluecose level, I would have just sat down and had my friend get me something, but the thing is, I could barely walk. Good news is though, they did get me a free black cherry power water.. It was actually REALLY good! It helped a lot. Wow. This is getting long.. But thank you to everyone who voiced your opinions and posted, and thanks to those who read this as well.
  20. I've been stuck on MANY rides and I can calmly assure you that this has NEVER happened before. I normally do not get bothered by being stuck. Today however I did. I can also assure you that I went to the doctor, and I have NO health issues. I do see your point however. It's always good to be aware if problems, but I am aware, and I have no problems. I've ridden Firehawk 2 other times without any issues what so ever, other than a touchy seat sensor. It's an amazing ride. It was just this situation that ruined it for me. I am sure that I will ride it again soon. Kwinds, my friend has the same thoughts as you on the top restraints, which is part of the reason why she wanted out too!
  21. Thank you for taking your time to reply, However I have no health issues. So therefore, I am able to ride this ride. And I DO read the boards. Yes, getting stuck in other ways would be worse, but that still doesn't change the fact that this was very uncomfortable, as well as the situation I was in. My "OCD" was killing me because my restraint was a bit snug, and It was hard to breathe, and plus i was getting dizzy. I think its just the fact that I thought about it too much, which I am sure is what made it worse . The ride ops did a great job, along with the first aid crew. Thanks to everyone else for replying. I'll probably ride it again in a few weeks.. If it doesn't break down. It's a VERY fun ride. Actually, It did cause it. I ate less than 40 minutes before riding, and I have never had issues before. Being panicked or tense CAN in fact lower your blood sugar. This is the first time it's happened to me. I'm usually good on rides, unless I get stuck when the restraint is too tight or snug. Once again, thanks to everyone for sharing your opinions. I feel a lot better now.
  22. Because I don't like big paragraphs. On websites, it makes it hard to read.
  23. So. today, I was riding, and we get back to the station. when we get back, our seats don't rise. So, we are laying in the station for about 10-15, with me not being able to breathe the entire time. I'm sure if any one working there when it happened, but if you do. I'm sure you know me. I'm the guy in the red shirt . Anyways. So after I talk to about 10 different associates, and matinance people and tell them that I'm having breathing issues, my muscles are spazzing, and that I need off right now.. They keep saying that we will be out soon. so after I have an emotional breakdown (also part of my OCD), mainly from not breathing and my muscles are literally on fire, 10-15 mins later, they manually get us out. I could barely walk. Everyone asked me if I was okay, and of course I wasn't. I sat on the steps. Having breathing issues, emotional issues (yup. Im cool like that), and my muscles are acting weird, and Im dizzy. So they call first aide. Waited about 5-10 mins, they got there. I felt a little better that I calmed down some. Still tried to get up, and have issues walking. So they ask me questions.. and ask if they can give me a blood sugar test. Of course I said yes.. So they prick me (it wasn't painful at all lol) and I drank some water, and my blood sugar was 64. EEK. So they escorted me down the steps.. almost losing my balance (they were REALLY nice and I appreciate all they did). I'm still teary eyed during this point. This time it was because I was SO embarrassed. Everyone was staring at me, including all the workers, which REALLY ticked me off (part of my OCD). They get me a flavored water, and try to raise up my blood sugar. It worked pretty fast. A few minutes later, we are in the First aid car, on the way so they could take me to the parking lot so I could go home.. I am fine now. Still have a migraine from hell, but I will live. I'm not going to be riding Firehawk anytime soon. It was too painful, both physically and emotionally for me. Every time I ride it, something is wrong. My seat sensor was bad one time, one time the train wouldn't lower.. but nothing like this where I'm stuck, and I really need out. Thanks to some of the employees that were really helpful. Sorry I was being a butthead, but I hope you understand my situation. SOB didn't test run.. by the way. That SUCKS! lol.
  24. no wonder why it looked so stretched out, and thanks for the video fry. That made my night.
