haha, i once wore a bathing suit to KI with those holes in the pockets that a surrounded by metal rings to keep water out. They told me I couldn't ride, so I ripped them off the suit making them metal-less. I then handed the the rings to the slide attendent, he thanked me , and down I went.

So, you're going down the road and are unable to stop your vehicle. There is a child in the road and an animal in the road. You're not able to swerve to avoid striking both. Art, which one do you hit? Well, I would hit the animal but I would be devastated. I accidentally hit a raccoon once and I was so shaken I went back home and didn't drive for about a week. Obviously it is great if the animals stay in the woods, I really hope that is what happens.

I was just stating that animals have just as much right to live as humans, there are other ways of dealing with them than killing them.

I suppose under your logic, instead of the state giving money to the elderly for medicine we should just kill them since they are probably near the end and there are better things the money could go toward.

Oil Today Closed at $101.01

We usually go to Kings Island maybe 5 times a year. Last year, we did this and our first trip to Cedar Point. This year, we are going to KI once for Halloween Haunt. Sorry Mr. Kinzel, but I am probably going to be kicked out of my apartment by the end of the month so going to KI instead of Disney World isn't the main thing on my mind. I don't know how others feel, and I don't know a whole lot about economics, but I am really feeling seriously concerned about the future financial security of America. All I keep hearing about the dropping value of the dollar, gas prices, recessions. Should I be this worried? -
This is the same statement. you might as well have asked, "Is it more crowded on the weekends or is it less crowded during the week?"

TN: Bible Park, Now What?
art_star replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
How did that guy go from the nude photography business to the bible business. I find it a little funny the ways that people can exploit religion for money. What will come next, a bible videogame. Wait, I think they already make those. -
haha, how on earth did I accidentally hit c instead of s, they aren't even close. oh well.

I still say that a Super Mario Action FX movie would be the coolest, with pipes and muchrooms around the line. Ofcourse, that requires licencing so I doubt that would ever happen.

There are better ways of maintaining population than killing innocent animals, sterilization being one.

I know that at Cedar Point, they allow people to take their shirt and shoes off and lay them on the ground by the entrances of some of the main park water rides. Is this happening at Kings Island now? My dad has feet problems, so he hates getting his shoes wet. He walks around really really slow for the rest of the day if they get wet.

I can see the reasoning one would have to say that an animal is treated cruely at sea world or someplace similar. It isn't cruelty like being underfed or beaten or anything, it is just that they are trained to perform for the entertainment of people, for which they will do several times a day. I don't really have that big of a problem with it, but I can see why someone would. How would you feel if someone kept you locked in a cage all the time and made you perform for people? I know most here on the boards will laugh this off, but why should animals have any less rights than us? They got here the same way we did, yet we are somehow superior. Ugh.

I just watched that Final Destination clip as well. Possibly the least scariest thing I have ever seen. That was godawful.

i think in 2005, i was exiting Flight Deck and I saw a bunch of security guards and stuff getting a large snake out of a tree (close to the kodak spot in the exit path). The snake was probably about 3 feet long and pretty thick.

This is the funniest thing I have read for a while.

I am really tired of people bringing up Final Destination 3 when coasters break down. Off topic, but does anyone know if that thing in Final Destination 3 was filmed at an actual park (I haven't seen it)? I know that part in the House on Haunted Hill remake was filmed on The Incredible Hulk ride.

Yes, that one. I am sure the Ron Jeremy Mario would have the kiddies jumping for joy. But seriously, that would be awesome if they put a Super Mario movie into the action theater. They could put those big green pipes and large toadstools in the grass around the lines.
-
I think Mario would be awesome. He is completely kid appropriate, and everyone knows who he is. That would be so awesome.

The Kings Island Theater is really crappy looking. You can tell they just ripped parts out and tacked a new sign up. The Paramount Theater looked magnificent. It is little changes like this that really change the feel of the park. Those shingles look wretched.

I can't believe no one has said T2 at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom yet. The head banging was just horrible on it.

CANADAS WONDERLAND RENAMES ALL PARAMOUNT THEMED RIDES
art_star replied to peteytherocker's topic in Rumors
I miss the integration to an extent. I liked some of it, especially Tomb Raider. Sometimes they could give you a feeling of adventure as if you were actually in the film. But I wish they would have left the atmosphere of some parts of the park alone. The Bier Gardens. The Antique Cars. Being raised on Paramount's Kings Island myself, I will miss the movie characters that used to walk around, hearing the Addams Family theme and the Beetlejuice theme while sitting on International Street. Watching Star Trek in the Festhaus. -
I think I remember quite sometime ago someone said that one side of F/X theater was being used as storage and all the seats were gone. Does anyone know if this will still be in effect next year?
-
I feel the same way sometimes, and I am only 19. I sit at those cafe tables on International Street alot, unlike when I was younger and wouldn't waste a minute out of a line or off of a ride. But I like it this way because I am discovering new joys in Kings Island that I didn't realize were there when I was younger.

I thought that it had stopped spinning, or was that just temporary.

Wow, you don't get out much, do you? No, he probably just has a good taste in movies. I never said Face/Off was a good movie. It was a pretty big movie though, considering I remember it's release when I was 9.
