  1. I know exactly what you mean. I miss those days.
  2. I'm sorry but it's time for the kid to drop the Huggies. Parents shouldn't force anyone to do anything but really, it's just fiction.
  3. You and I share the same situation.
  4. I went last night. There was almost no one. We stayed on Beast 3 times in a row. Tonight will be a great night to go.
  5. I wonder why she would be surprised that you knew about the story? It's not a big secret. Here is a rather intresting article, very accurate too: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/4...ati.html?page=2 Wow, that's a sad excuse for reporting.
  6. The man of the DeLorean gains a point for the win!!
  7. Since this thread has been revived I'll ask a question. To all you current or former KI employees: are employees briefed on the actual hauntings (or just haunting as the case may be) and told to deny the existence of them? I was having a conversation with a ride op on Eiffel and she said, "you shouldn't know about that" after I got her to admit the Johnny death and that she had experiences. That sounded to me like she had been told not to acknowledge the death or the ghost.
  8. Saves time? So to the OP, inverted or suspended? Suspended: no. The same layout but completely redesigned to be an inverted coaster might work. It may not be the most thrilling ride, but it would probably work. Vortex was designed to be just like it is (that was a deep statement). Keep it as it is, not stand up, not inverted.
  9. no sh*t sherlock... thats how they get them through the park so it dosnt ruin kids fantasy of them being real... if he was together..in a "body bag" hed be harder to get through... i speak from expeience(sp?) off to get into costume i go for HH Someone needs a Midol.
  10. This is actually pretty funny. I personally don't think it's that big of a deal.
  11. You know Apple makes Final Cut Pro right?
  12. Something else to nibble on, there's a natural spring where Congo sits. If anyone remembers Screamin' Demon (which was in Congo's spot) there was a lake under it due to the spring. It would be a bit of a pain to put a non-water ride there.
  13. To get back on topic (kind of)... When I read the topic title I didn't particularly like the direction the thread would go.
  14. Just wondering, does anyone have any pictures of the TG line when it was working? I was there when it was working but I was too young to remember anything.
  15. Why is that? Impeccable literary skills. pwn3d!
  16. Or even if they were to move Dominator from GL to KI.... We can dream can't we? I just edited the Wiki article.
  17. ^ I wouldn't expect a new coaster but I would expect something new. Even if it were a coaser I doubt it would be a B&M. If there were a synonym for B&M it would be expensive. Considering CF's financial condition a B&M doesn't seem to be in the cards.
  18. Well first, welcome! Second: Oh, wow. Dear God. I want to know who added that. ...And who's going to remove it. I'm pretty sure that there isn't any miraculous 300 foot land drop-off back there. Sounds like someone's been reading these forums a little too seriously. Webboysmd, take this quote with a grain of salt. In fact take most everything on Wikipedia with a grain of salt. Anyone with internet access can write on Wikipedia. I HIGHLY doubt that this is for real, but I, for the sake of argument will say it's not a bad idea.
  19. From Richmond, Indiana about an hour and a half. If I'm driving 45 minutes.
  20. B&M Floorless, stand up, or perhaps dive machine.
  21. The Beast has been operating since 1979. And in 29 years there has been at least one significant accident (when the brakes were wet and two trains collided). And guess what? The problem has been corrected, ironically enough, without major downtime. FoF was notorious for being a severe head-banger. New restraints were installed. And guess what? The problem has been corrected, ironically enough, without major downtime. Beast and FoF have been here for 29 years and 12 years respectivly. Your comparsion of those rides to SoB is like apples to oranges. And no, I have not screamed to tear it down. It would be great if the problems could be corrected and the ride could operate for everyone's enjoyment. But after 8 operating seasons (4 if you only count uptime) the park could use the money for something else. Think of it from a history standpoint. The Bat was present at KI from '81 till it finally closed in '83. As great were the reports as to what kind of ride it was, it could not operate consistantly. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? (Well not really, since most of the world feels that SoB should be donated to a third world country in the form of pencils) But in the end, Vortex was built. Now who could complain about that decision? The park certainly has not suffered with Vortex. Now, has the park suffered with SoB? I'll let the majority speak up with that answer. I will raise my cup to that. Huzzah!
