Did anyone ride Maverick Thursday or Friday? I rode both days and the launch seemed very slow in comparison to the last 2 years. I know it was broken down earlier in the week for a couple of days, so I'm wondering if they slowed it down because of this, or if the launch has been slower all season long.

We went here on Saturday, and it was not what I was expecting. We were hoping to spend the day at the water park, but it was cloudy windy and cold. So we hit up Thunderhawk which was ok. It was trimmed way too much, which took a lot of fun out of it. Then we hit up Shivering Timbers. This was a fun coaster but only about as good as Gemini imo. I went on Gemini twice Friday and it was smooth and lots of fun with it being retracked. At this point it started raining so we decided to head out. This park was not what I was expecting though, did not feel like I was in a Cedar Fair park at all. I think I might just expect more because of Kings Island and Cedar Point. I dont know but I don't plan on going back to this place.

I was at the Magnum at 10 for the Anniversary, it was kind of a let down. There was no ceramony like the article said, and the pin was pretty generic and cheap looking. It said sweet sixteen on it, then said Magnum. I heard that all the pins were the same with the sweet sixteen. Also the Ice cream wasnt very good either, it was pre packaged and hard as a rock. I did ride in 1-3 for the first time though, that was pretty cool. This ride is so rough though, they should have brought out some new trains, or at the least new harnnesses for the anniversary.

How about something like the jump shot side of power tower at Cedar Point. Except as tall as Drop Tower!

Not necessarily. There are plenty of people that have stories being told wrong information over the phone, or at guest relations at verious parks. I'm just seeing if anyone knows from personal experience, better safe than sorry.

Does anyone know how I early I can do my upgarde? I'm leaving in the morning. I did call the park and they told me 9am. I'm not sure I trust there word though. I thought the ticket offices were open before that.

Front row of maverick is my favorite as well. never ride back row with bruised thighs from magnum though, its pure torture! I did find out from a guy on thrillnetwork that the tubes only cost extra for the wave pool.

Maverick is better than both!

Which day are you planning on going?

Has anybody been there? I think instead of spending 3 days at Cedar Point, we are going to do 2 days there, then a day at Michigan's Adventure. How nice is their water park compared to KI and CP? How are the roller coasters? What kind of perks do we get for being PP holders? ERT? Free Parking? I'm seeing on the website that they have a rental fee for tubes. Is this just for normal tube use? I've neven seen a water park charge for using tubes before.

It was the kid in the room above us stomping on the flloor until 3 or 4 am. We called the front desk multiple times with no resolution to the problem.

I know there is a topic for this but im on my phone. My question is can i upgrade to platinum with my ki gold at Cedar Point? My annual trip there is next week and id like to upgrade there if possible.

To get the credit. I'm not an adult (I'm 16) But I once waited 30 minutes for Jr. Gemini at CP during Coaster Mania 08'.Ok but why do you feel the urge to get credit for a kiddie coaster? Whats so great about claiming to have ridden it?

Sorry to go off topic but why do grown adults go on kiddie coasters? I ride to have fun, and kiddie coasters are not fun. Ive been on beastie and this one at the indy zoo. They were not really fun at all.

Here is a list I have been to. Cedar Point - Everyone must go here at least once. Hershey - This park was ok, worth 1 visit. Busch Gardens Tampa - Great Park worth a visit Six Flags GreatAmerica - This park sucks I wouldn't bother Schlitterbahn South Padre - This park wasn't as big as I had hoped for. Go to the one by San Antonio for sure. Disney World - Worth 1 visit, but go to one of the other Disney's for thrill rides.

Hit up DB at dusk, and save your night ride for The Beast. Diamondback is one of my favorite coastesrs, but it doesnt compare to The Beast at night.

Which park do you think is better, ki or kd?

Theme park insider had prowler listed as number one in early july. Im not sure how big of a following that site has. Some guy told me about it in line for db. I checked out the site to confirm it though.

According to wiki kings dominion is a sister park and was named after Kings Island. Also dominion sits on 400 acres and has 60 rides vs islands 49 rides using 375 acres (over 700 total).

He can pay for his pass to get in and then head back to the gate and flash the platinum pass. They don't scan it once you are in the park. If you go in the MF or Magnum entrances though it will be scanned.

Is Aquatica any good? Or is it better to just hit up Wet N' Wild or Blizzard Beach?
