Is the Action Theater still showing Spongebob or did they switch to the Halloween show that they had last year?
-
In a perfect world where staffing and labor cost weren't an issue, I would LOVE to see KI open 24 hours. I am a night owl and would have no problem heading to the park at midnight and staying till 4-5 in the morning. *sigh* If only.

Are the Smurfs responsible for the removal of the enchanted voyage?
Mighty Mouse replied to raptor's topic in KI Polls
I think it still would have gone eventually. If Phantom Theatre wasn't put there it certainly would have been re-themed with the Nickelodeon invasion. I think it would have been updated before that, though. -

The smurfs weren't the original theme of the Enchanted Voyage. -

What is Kings Island REALLY going to get?
Mighty Mouse replied to familyguyfun1's topic in Coming Attractions
I could see it working really well for the passholder mom or dad that takes their teenager to the park but would rather watch the game than ride the rides that day. They're nearby if needed but the kids can go have fun. -
You would fit on both coasters. When my son was a little younger, I took him on both rides. And I am 5'9" and not skinny by any means. Reptar is kinda fun for a tame little coaster. I almost wish my son still liked to ride on it.

I have to agree with you. I always parked right next to a tram stop so that after a long day of walking around the park and winning a couple stuffed animals, I knew that I could have a ride out to my car. I really wish those would come back but I know they won't.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I haven't gone back and read posts from 3 years ago. Does it really hurt to resurrect a topic every once in awhile? There are always new people joining the forum.

The Bat for me.

Might have something to do with having enough employees. How many adults want seasonal work? The rest are teenagers and college students on summer break and they are all back in school in September. Except for weekends which is when all the private events are scheduled.

OK. Next question. Will any rides besides the listed thrill rides be open during HH hours? I'm wondering about Italian Job or the Monster and other flat rides.

I asked about nudity because someone had brought it up in another thread. Just wanted to get all the facts. I'm not worried about the stray curse word. He hears those occasionally when I'm driving down the highway. Oops. He doesn't like people jumping out at him much but does like the idea of riding rides in the dead of night. Thanks to those who answered. I'll know what to expect now.

I know they warn against young children at the HH event, but how much of the adult-oriented stuff is outside of the walkthrough haunts? If my 14 year old and I go to ride rides in the evening, how much is he going to see that he shouldn't? Will there be monsters walking around scaring park guests outside of the haunt areas? I'm less worried about gore than the nudity but I need to know if I should stick to Sundays or not.

Ummm. I haven't seen anyone getting really worked up yet. I'm seeing a lively discussion about how we feel about an upcharge, pro or con. If they upcharge HH, I will be dissappointed with the CF management for how they have handled the situation but I am not going to run screaming through the streets about the unfairness of it all. I think an upcharge is a great idea to keep down the crowds a little and let those who attend enjoy things more. I just think that, should it happen, that it should have been announced much earlier in the season since the Halloween events were originally advertised as free with the season pass. -
How busy will the park be on Monday? I'm thinking about going on the last day of the regular season but will I get to ride more than two or three rides?
-
I would be fine with that too. I don't really do the haunted attractions but I just love the atmosphere of the park at night during the Holloween season. I'm the same way. I loved the Christmas display they had in Coney Island for Fearfest last year. My son doesn't like the haunts yet but we like one last chance to ride the rides before the season ends.

I think CF should take the hit this year since the Halloween event (by any name) was advertised as free with a season pass. Next year if they want to upcharge for it, great. Let the pass buyers decide for themselves if the pass is worth it without Halloween admission. Whether they intend it as a "bait and switch" or not, that is just what it will be if CF claims that by changing the name it is now OK to charge extra for Halloween Haunt. If they do it, I hope they overstaff the guest relation office. It'll be busy, that's for sure. And what about Nick or Treat? Just an upcharge for Fri and Sat nights or for all October admissions? -
I was there too. It was the day of the Weird Al concert, which was GREAT, by the way. And alot of the schools are going back this week. I'm heading down on Tues for couple hours and I'm hoping it'll be dead so I can get in lots of rides. This will be my last trip till mid-October for Fearfest.

When did you start going to KI and where did you hear about KIC?
Mighty Mouse replied to Young Gunz's topic in Kings Island
I have been going to Kings Island since the mid-seventies. I can remember riding Gullivers Travels and Enchanted Voyage. My first roller coaster was the Wild Mouse (How many remember that one?) It had the grab bar in the front and I was young enough to not know to hold on. I would have flown out of my seat if my mom hadn't grabbed me. Scared me so much I didn't ride another coaster for about six years!! I just joined KIC a couple months ago. I saw it mentioned on the Dayton Daily News website. -
Thank you to everyone who answered. My son tried to tell me I was cheating because I beat his score.

Are there different point values for the targets in the Scooby Doo haunted castle? And if so, what are they?

'Weird Al' Coming Back to Kings Island!
Mighty Mouse replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Coming Attractions
Location, location, location. It's reserved seating so $15 tickets get you closer to the stage. I'm going with my son and we're in the 16th row. -
We don't ride it though. My son hates getting wet. We just soak the people on the ride.
