All I ever cared about was the air conditioning blowing on me! We always try to hit that ride, and FoF during the hottest part of the day!

While tragic, and sad, I think there is another reason that this story is "news worthy". The reason is, this type of incident doesn't happen very often. I think that speaks volumes. These people that work with these animals on a daily basis really must know their stuff. Yes, this woman was attacked and killed by the whale. Why? No one will ever know. Look at all the other animal trainers that have, and still do work with animals everyday, knowing that the same thing could happen to them. I have no idea who this woman was, or how long she was doing her job, but I would venture a guess that she would not blame the animal, nor would she want the park to altar it's shows because of something that happened out of her control. Back to point (I tend to ramble) People don't focus on car crashes, or things that take peoples lives everyday, but because this is something that "doesn't happen" everyone is all abuzz about it. I think we should focus on the good that people created by working with animals, rather than this one "freak" accident. Not to say her loss shouldn't be mourned, it should, but I hope that we can also see how much of a loss it would be if the overall show is affected by it too.

A:No Q: Kyle Joyce - Are there any plans for Action Theater in 2010 such as a new film since, obviously, SpongebBob 3D will not be shown anymore. A:Maybe Q: Rain Blanken - Are there any special events planned for the 2010 season. A:(sarcastic) Yes Q: Eric Skinner - When will some of the current rides be getting a touch up, such as Flight Deck. That ride REALLY needs a paint job and there are many many people who are curious when that will happen. A:Flightdeck = No

I don't mean to sound like a "buzz kill", but I have a serious question. How would CF be able to even begin design on a new coaster for any of their parks? I can see the new Intimidators, because they were started last year. Now though? They have tried to merge, admitted that they have too much debt, and won't make it without help. What bank, or financial institution would lend them the money to build this coaster? Thats the thing I keep thinking of. I haven't looked at, or studied, or tried to break down the terrain that SoB sits on, because I can't imagine any scenario that would allow CF to borrow any more money from anybody. I could be totally wrong, all of the Amusement Park, roller coaster knowledge I have has come reading these boards. God help me! LOL

We will do our traditional "build up" tour. We start by walking towards Action Zone. Hit up the coasters that seem to be perfectly placed in both Geography, and intensity. Adventure Express, Racer, FoF, Vortex, The Beast, and Diamondback. After that, we can all spent some family time in....ahem...Planet Snoopy..Man, thats still hard to say. LOL

There isn't much time to get rides moved to other parks, or to do much of anything really by opening day. What are the odds that this is all a power move by Six Flags to get a better deal on a new lease?

I looked at the blackbook review. Kind of hard to take a review seriously when they use curse words (word)in the article. I don't mean to sound like a prude or anything. I have one of the worst "potty mouths" on the face of the Earth, but it isn't professional. It certainly doesn't help make a point. It just makes me feel like an 8 year old was sitting down and typing on the family computer, constantly looking over his shoulder hoping Mom doesn't catch him! LOL

We just bought a super expensive camera this year. We have already talked about it and decided. It will not be making any trips to KI. There are plenty on cameras (and cell phone cameras) that fit in to your pocket. I don't think it would be worth the constant worry of keeping up with it, or the thought of leaving it in a locker. After the year I've had, I have become a very untrusting person. If you have faith that there are more good people in the world than there are bad, then you may be right. The few bad people though, will leave a much stronger impression on you. Best to not deal with it. Leave it at home, so that when the neighbors see you leave for the day, they can break in to the house, and steal it there! LOL

Sometimes DER run out in front of my car at night.... *groan*

I'm not convinced the yellow is a new coat of paint. The orange is, obviously. I think the track may end up being different than yellow when they are done.

I think AT is considered a 4D experience. There are only a handful of movies that are 4D. I would like one of the nature flicks. One about dolphins, and another about penguins. Those would be cool. You could theme it like an animal adventure! Well, if they ever decided to such a crazy thing like themeing again.

I must say, as much as I enjoyed the pictures of the park, I really liked seeing the old "Judge"! The 70 is one of my favorite cars of all time. Your momma has great taste!!! LOL

I wonder if construction will continue on the new rides planned for next year. Intimidator's, and the big flume up at the point?

I hate to be the first one to beat a dead horse, but............ I wonder what new ownership will mean for the future of SoB?

I dont know if it has "record" airtime. It has plenty for me though! More than any other coaster I've ridden.

Very cool pics. I am usually beat after one day at KI. Hitting all those places in one trip would kill me! I like seeing all the support pics of The Voyage. The company that my wife works at did all the galvenizing to the steel, to protect them from the weather. It was a huge job!

It sounds goofy coming from somewone who is a coaster nut, but I am scared to death of heights! The first lift is terrible for me on any coaster. I can not ride Ferris Wheels, or Drop Tower. A coaster is a bit different though, because once you go over the first lift, and the speed kicks in, I'm fine, and I love the ride. Just the S L O W climb up the first hill gets me

it's good to know that someone with a little knowledge ended up buying it. At least we know it won't away anytime soon. Well, shouldn't go away. I guess anything is possible
