  1. Time to say it again. Never judge a book by its cover. My favorite fail ride would have to be Hurricane Cat. 5 at The Myrtle Beach Pavilion (Why didn't they tear down Family Kingdom instead? Why?!)
  2. Why? Didn't we just get a multi-million dollar coaster of our own?
  3. Very interesting video. Thanks for sharing Ryan!
  4. I'm swell. And you?

  5. I don't see Blackstone making a play on Cedar Fair with their recent acquisition of the Busch parks. Of course, I don't think anyone saw Cedar Fair making a play on Paramount when they were bought out either.
  6. I like the new skin as well. It's a completely different IPB skin than I've seen before. Looks nice guys!
  7. I voted for the second one. I think it really depends on where you are sitting and how you are sitting. I remember the first time I rode it I was in the third row and I was slouching; that caused me quite a bit of pain. The next time I rode it I rode in the front seat in a much better position and it treated me fine.
  8. Thanks for sharing McSalsa! Jackson, you stole the words out of my mouth. This video makes the current ride look pretty bad. I do hope Cedar Fair does something about Flight Deck.
  9. Thirteen is a reference to unluckiness and bad things. You can see the 'full summary' of the ride here at the TH13TEEN website.
  10. http://www.altontowers.com/2010/theming/ Here's the TH13TEEN website. The photo on the left hand side intrigues me, with the tree and all.
  11. This is probably true. I didn't take into consideration that the weather in that area is generally nicer in the winter time than in the Cinci area. I remember it snowing quite a bit and being really cold when Diamondback was going up last year.
  12. Don't judge a book by its cover. I learned that the hard way a few months back. I can't believe how fast this coaster has gone up! I hope the speed of construction doesn't effect the quality of the coaster (not saying I doubt the quality of B&M, it's just how fast this thing has gone up sort-of worries me.) It's probably just me over-reacting again!
  13. I guess what Cedar Fair is facing is whether to take that risk or not. They have before, I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen again. You know what they say, third (or fourth) time's a charm!
  14. Yes, but would it be worth it? The destruction costs would cost much more than a shiny penny, remember. You have to take into consideration that re-doing the ride may be cheaper than actually taking the ride down.
  15. ^ I can see that getting quite pricey though. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't imagine getting two new movies every month in there.
  16. Diamondback 10/10 (11/10 at night) Adventure Express 10/10 (11/10 at night and if most effects are working) The Beast 9/10 (10/10 at night) Son of Beast 8/10 (9/10 at night) Racer 8/10 (9/10 at night) Vortex 8/10 Flight of Fear 7.5/10 Firehawk 7/10 Flight Deck 7/10 Invertigo 6/10 Backlot Stunt Coaster 6/10 (8/10 if all effects are working) Fairly Odd Coaster 5/10 (6/10 at night) Avatar 5/10 Runaway Reptar 5/10 Little Bill's Giggle Coaster 3/10 (10/10 for the wee ones!)
  17. Well, I definitely don't want SoB to be gone, and Crypt could use a tad bit more scenery. I'll go with number two!
  18. Some of my favorites.
  19. I completely agree with this statement. I have not been to USO, but from what I've seen and heard, I believe this coaster fits in perfectly with the surrounding environment. Universal Studios Orlando is what the name says it is, a movie lot in Hollywood, a place where they shoot movies, music videos, etc. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Hollywood/L.A. known for a vibrant, modern city? I think this coaster fulfills the purpose of a music video set in a movie shooting lot. Just my opinion, however.
  20. I'm not a huge Spongebob fan. I'm more of a classic cartoons kind of person.
  21. This makes me extremely happy! Diamondback sweatshirt for Christmas anyone?
  22. Two parks have announced coasters, one location left to announce. So, could this twitter post have confirmed it is a coaster, not a ride?
  23. While watching the special features on Knowing a little while back, they mentioned that, if you were to ask a Mayan right now if the world were going to end on Dec. 21st, 2012, they would say that it is not ending, that it's simply the end of another phase the Earth is going through.
  24. If the video would stop its constant stopping and starting for me, then I definitely would watch it! By the pictures though, it just looks out-of-place to me. Maybe (quite possibly) I'm wrong.
  25. I must say, this is looking like a very nice coaster. Only complaint I would have is that the final helix seems a little awkward, as if it were added in order to have more length. I must say that I like Diamondback's layout a tad bit better as well. The ride altogether seems top-class though, definitely putting Carowinds on the map! I wonder if there's a trip to Carowinds for me in the future...
