  1. Why in the world would you post your season pass number on an open forum?
  2. It lets you accumulate without using them first. I'm up to Level 2, but have yet to use my free drink wristband that I got for registering (we're waiting for a day when we'll be at the park all day) and I haven't used my "Choose two from free cotton candy, popcorn, Thunder Alley ride, game, 15% off food purchase, $9.99 BAF" but I still got the Level 2 "Choose one from Front of Line pass, drink wristband, etc."
  3. So far I plan on being there close to 7:00, but with the way I am in the morning my alarm may go off and I may think "just 5 more minutes" a few times. Why not? But seriously, I was kind of thinking the same thing, but then I already know a few participants (Avatar, IndyGuy, standbyme, and jcgoble) and figured I didn't have to try to find something to wear with a gator on it or anything. But don't worry about it too much, somehow us KICers always seem to find each other, including the ones that haven't met the rest of us before. If you see a group of people together, chances are it's either us or Team TPR. All you need to do is look for us, we'll be the ones wearing Coasting for Kids shirts.
  4. ^Also, the flags in Planet Snoopy right next to The Great Pumpkin Coaster. All six of them.
  5. This one is so obvious, I don't know why I didn't think of it before! We Will Rock You by Queen. We could even do a little Bohemian Rhapsody... "I see a little silhouetto of a man..."
  6. As I posted in your other topic on the same subject, they do not need to be with you. You can bring the voucher in by yourself.
  7. ^She does not need to come with you. You can bring the voucher yourself to have your picture taken & your pass processed.
  8. ^Um, no. You do not have to be 18 to buy a pass at the park. They will gladly sell one to anyone who has the money for it. They're not going to turn away a 15 year old who wants to buy their own pass.
  9. But still nowhere as bad as the weekends.
  10. Nope. Those buildings were there pre-Paramount. I don't have an exact time frame, I just know they were there before then. My first year in Admissions was 1995, and I know the Season Pass building and "Big Booth", aka the Group Sales building, were there long before. The old GA booths were taken out sometime after 2004, which was my last year in Admissions.
  11. 5:30... you poor thing. I could roll out of bed at 7:45 and still make it there for the end of the sign-in. I promise I won't do that though. I'm sure everyone will appreciate me waking up early enough to shower and get caffeine in me. No one wants to ride with a grumpy stinky Gator!
  12. We could change the words to Row Row Row Your Boat: Row row row your coaster, gently up the hill, Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is just a thrill! I got the idea while riding Beast with Tom76257 on Friday. He was making paddling motions while we were going up the lift hills, and when we hit the final break run he stuck his "paddle" out the side to stop the train.
  13. That's the one. I tried posting a link to that very video yesterday, but the internet filters here at work prevented me from getting to it's Youtube page. I was going to suggest Crazy Train too, but I figured that was already on the list because of it being sung last year.
  14. I remember that very well too. I definitely wasn't the one that leaked the pictures, but the supervisor still made me feel about this small. Mama was an excellent addition and really helped the story of the house come together. And last year, I remember a group of us returners looking at the newbies on the first night of rehearsals, each of us saying who we thought wouldn't make it til the end of the season. I had several picked out, but like you said, for the first time that I've worked Haunt, a vast majority of the family stayed til the end, including a few that I was absolutely sure wouldn't make it. We really have had a great group of people in there.
  15. Great idea! One that Mrs. Gator, GatorGirl & I sing at the top of our lungs in the car is We Are Young by Fun. As we were leaving the park Sunday night, a group of girls behind us started singing it as loudly as they could, and so we joined in!
  16. This makes me sad. We'll miss you! If I see a scared little kid coming through the house, I stick out my hand for them to give me a high five. Only once has a kid turned me down.
  17. Sigh. If the article is true, another one of my "non-obvious" favorites bites the dust. Chaos, Demon Drop, WildCat, Disaster Transport. That leaves only Cedar Downs on my list of "non-obvious" favorites there. Not to mention one of my favorite haunts at CP, Happy Jack's Toy Factory (which could always be moved though). And by the time I get a chance to go up there this year, DT will probably be gone to make room for construction, so I've probably already had my last ride on it. And with so few bobsleds left... When does Flying Turns open again? Sigh. All I can say is, this wing rider better be better than Wild Eagle. WE is good for Dollywood, but it's my 2nd least favorite coaster there (least favorite being Veggie Tales). Sigh.
  18. Overheard in line for Mondo Monsoon (formerly Tasmanian Typhoon) on Sunday: "I think it's funny how they built a waterpark near all these heavy duty electrical lines and stuff. I wonder if Kings Island got a discount on the land because of all that stuff being out here." Well, considering that the area was pretty much all farmland when the park's land was purchased, and the electrical needs for the area were nowhere near what it is today, I would say it's pretty safe to assume that the electrical features were not there at the time.
  19. Ah yes, the Paramount front gate plans. I can't go into much detail, but they were very nice plans. I know I was pretty excited for them back then, but many factors played into them not coming to be. The current gate doesn't bother me in the least. With the GA booths being removed a few years back, and now the metal detectors, that space has really opened up. When Paramount added the 3 billboards to the front of the IR, that brought some much needed color to the drab brown tiles. And as Browntggrr commented, I like the "awe" factor of not being able to see the fountains until you walk through the gate. As far as IR and elevators, it does have one. Yes, you have to escorted into a "behind the scenes" area to access it, but it's there and available for use to those who need it. How that measures up to the more restrictive ADA regulations though, I don't know.
  20. I'm not happy about this. I'm quickly going through the 5 stages of grief. When I first got the email from Pointbuzz, I was angry. I'm just about to acceptance now. WildCat was one of my must-rides when I went to CP. It, along with Disaster Transport, Cedar Downs, and in the past Chaos & Demon Drop, are what I call "non-obvious" must-rides. Sure, I love the big coasters, but these are rides that are among my favorites that a "typical" enthusiast might not necessarily hold in the same regard that I do. I'm sad to see it go, but I knew the day would come eventually. Steel only lasts so long, and as others on here have said the past incidents probably didn't bode well. I'm among those that suspect something happened in the pre-season testing that made CP's decision to remove it a little earlier and easier for them.
  21. It's called Daredevil Falls, it's up near Barnstormer. It is a fun ride, but I haven't ridden it in years since the last few years I've only gone for the Christmas event. Now that we have passes there I'll get to ride it again. Kings Island: Beast, Diamondback, Delirium, (Flying Eagles) Magic Kingdom: Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain & Splash Mountain EPCOT: Soarin' Disney's Hollywood Studios: The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (then Marriott's) Great America: Demon (then) Six Flags Over Mid-America (now St. Louis): Screamin' Eagle Cedar Point: used to be Milllenium Force when I was able to fit on it, now Magnum, SkyHawk, (Chaos) (then) Paramount's Carowinds: Hurler (then) Paramount's Canda's Wonderland: Top Gun Busch Gardens Tampa: Montu Kentucky Kingdom: Thunder Run Universal Studios Florida: Revenge of the Mummy, (Jaws) Islands of Adventure: Harry Potter, Spider-Man (then) Paramount's Great America: Top Gun Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk: Giant Dipper & Hurricane (then) Paramount's Kings Dominion: Volcano LeSourdesville Lake: Screechin' Eagle Dollywood: Thunderhead, Mystery Mine, Barnstormer Holiday World: Voyage Coney Island: Rock-O-Planes HersheyPark: Lightning Racer Sesame Place: Vapor Trail (not much to choose from at that park) Stricker's Grove: Tornado Six Flags Great Adventure: Kingda Ka Idlewild: Rollo Coaster
  22. Sorry I missed you Ro! I got to the park around 8:20, waited for Tolls to open, then waited for the turnstiles to open. Got two rides in on DB before I had to leave at 9:45 to pick up Mrs. Gator & GatorGirl and drive to the wedding. I just couldn't miss an opening day, no matter how little time I got to spend there!
  23. I haven't decided yet if I'm going. I went last year and had a great time, the only bad thing was the heat. I left the Voyage walkback early, went to Plymouth Rock Cafe and took a nap. I told my friends that were with me that if it's that hot when I go again, I'll be staying in the waterpark all day until it cools down.
  24. Yup, I was one of those people. That was fun! My first evac in quite a while.
