  5. don't worry guys "The final piece of track is expected to be installed this afternoon. You can watch this MOMENTOUS occasion live on the Diamondback webcam." ...... ya.... i hope there is video
  6. here is the wikipedia page on it "The ability to sense infrared thermal radiation evolved independently in several different families of snakes. Essentially, it allows these animals to “see” radiant heat at wavelengths between 5 and 30 μm to a degree of accuracy such that a blind rattlesnake can target vulnerable body parts of the prey at which it strikes.[1] It was previously thought that the organs evolved primarily as prey detectors, but recent evidence suggests that it may be used in thermoregulation and predator detection, making it a more general-purpose sensory organ than was supposed.[2][3]"
  7. What??? What is this? Please explain! Infrared detectors? huh? snakes can detect the heat of other animals i believe via infrared in pits on their head (ex. the pit viper).... so this is an allusion to the heat seeking Diamondback!
  8. i drove by today and it is soo soo soo much more massive in person. i took some decent pictures from the road and will upload them when i can get back to my camera dock.

  14. i figured that side would be the exit
  15. maybe they are painting or maybe just using the tarp to keep the wind off of them when they are working? someone give us some insight
