  1. hmmm, kinda sounds like you work at "bank a ball".....
  2. know you can turn nolimits tracks into 3d objects for scenery. maybe you could do that for all the coasters. people have already made some pretty accurate re-creations, so...
  3. they should replace the bottom of the helix's with steel track(non-tubular), and disguise it to look like wood track, lol
  4. ya, i'm sitting there in the ride and as the workers come by people are asking them if they can make it as tight as possible, i just shake my head, if only they knew....
  5. wow, we have some polarization here. some say Son of Beast is one of the least jerky rides in the park, some say it's virtually a form of torture. we all need to ride together so we can reach a consensus

    that sounds good

that all deals with capacity. ki's site says SOB has an hourly capacity of 1000 people, The Beast 1200, the crypt 600, Firehawk 400. take a look at the lines and you should be able to get a pretty good idea of how popular each ride is. it may not be the most accurate way, but it works to an extent

if it has good capacity and there is a long line i'd say it is.

but SOB is a world record breaking coaster! you've gotta keep it. plus in addition to the long lines it has, people love it. whenever i ride everyone is laughing and cheering. sure it's not the smoothest, but have you rode The Beast this year? i think it's a lot worse. the only really bumpy part of SOB is the bottom of the double helix. plus the ride adds to the skyline of the park. so i'd say unless there is another accident, it's here to stay. personally, i think they should replace the bottom of the helix with some pre-fab wood track and replace the trains with some ptc's that are made for turns. on another note, if there would be a way to shorten the time you wait in the brakes at flight deck, i'd be all for it! any ideas?

i think flight deck is just the right length. that style of coaster can be nauseating, so any longer and i think there would be a lot of sick people. if you compare flight deck to other coasters still operating of that style, we have one of the best.
  11. do you realize all that has to go wrong for multiple safety systems to fail?

ya, i saw these same pictures in another post about Manta, but you didn't include the pics with the guy who took them in it
  13. nothing like hamburgers fried in lard! mmmm! i think i'll get a bunch when i'm up there this weekend
  14. the Son of Beast trains came back on fire lol/ Son of Beast is smaller than The Beast, why would they call it the son? (as they get in the train)...
  15. queue, gah!
  16. Son of Beast needs some tunnels like The Beast. Also the new G-trains need some of the SOB theming like the premier trains had. Oh, and Top Gun has this quere line under the station that has some cool theming, but they never used it, so they should open it up. Also another 1000ft. would be nice on Top Gun.
