  1. to all of those who wish sob to burn down.... realize that racer and beast would probly be razed from the resulting forest fire. sob is much better than any of the Cedar Point woodies. the ride will settle into its niche here soon. however the crypt has nowhere to go which is a shame since i thought tr:tr was an amazing ride.
  2. They've had that patch there since last year. At first we thought it had a chance at being something, but now we know it was probably just a landfill for the dirt from swan lake. Right now they store mulch and stuff back there. The park fence is pretty close to SOB and the distance out to there from the end of Action Zone is a decent walk, so I doubt we will see anything there in a long time. Action Zone is overdue for a ride though. Every other area has gotten something since the last Zone installment. We could see something over in Action Zone within the next few years.
  3. all i can say is lol
  4. ^like maverick? what's your take on it? does it look awesome but is boring? or do you think it looks boring and is awesome? i loved maverick, but those restraints gave me bruises.
  5. great photos! i have one as my desktop right now
  6. I'll be at Holiwood Nights too! I figure the thing to do is get soaked on Pilgrims Plunge then dry off on the Voyage. Apparently it works well. Anyone else going to Holiwood Nights?
  7. the rain is nice to wood coasters! it expands the wood and makes it smoother.
  8. It's an INTAMIN!!! What INTAMIN ride hasn't had hiccups in it's first year of operation? I'm sure they will get the splashdown sorted out for your aesthetic preference. That's one of the prices you pay for going with a new design. Diamondback was great, but it only has slight differences from the other B&M hypers. Pilgrims Plunge was great and it's radically different. Don't judge the ride until you ride it for yourself. And I mean if it wasn't worth it for Pilgrims Plunge then you have Voyage. But I don't think you will be disappointed.
  9. I'm going back for Holiwood nights at the end of May. I can't wait!
  10. PART 2: here he goes! ronny, me, taylor It was awesome! I give it 5 stars! Everyone is complaining about the splash, but trust me it is enough! There was not a single inch of me that was not SOAKED! It is a ton of fun! The elevator lift is really really cool! Make your way out there if you get a chance!
  11. some of my photos just got featured on Holiblog! http://www.holidayworld.com/holiblog/holiblog.html
  12. I've got to admit, on my way to Holiday World today I wasn't expecting much. The webcam made the ride look kinda wimpy. But I went anyways cause I mean it's Holiday World. What I experienced was above and beyond what I could ever have expected. That was one fun water ride! Me, Ronny, and a fellow Coaster Cats member left around 1:00 today. It was a long drive out there..... really long, but as always with Holiday World the Voyage was a beacon of hope poking out of the trees. Except this time it shared it's glory with a new ride, Pilgrims Plunge! We got there right in time, took out our cameras, and began our adventure. a grand old American flag at the top! the crazy elevator lift a huge fan Santa in his sleigh more in a bit...
  13. I though TR:TR was amazing. It was a Florida ride in Ohio... minus the mountain. It's a shame to see it slow down to a halt like this. Paramount always had high hopes for its rides, but sometimes they were a little too high.
  14. Sorry i did not see you.Yeah caitlin is cool.Ride opts like that make the park much more fun. Saturday night i got a last ride on sob and the opt there was really into his job.Way to go. I recall last summer dealing with a girl that stamped hands when you left the park. She must of been having a bad day and it showed. who was the guy at sob?
  15. i've built model trains and train track will not work for your purposes. you'd have to have some forms to work with and build each portion of the track individually. but a SOB model is something i've always wanted to do. maybe once i finish my train set i'll start on it.
  16. it's nice that they may have a test seat out there so you don't waste your time.
  17. it's been forever since we first started hearing rumors of Diamondback. i am kinda tired of just talking about it for so long. i think i will sit back, relax, and wait for april 18th to roll around.
  18. based on the webcam it kinda looks like there is the same amount of que length as Firehawk, but Diamondback would have twice the capacity of Firehawk and less downtime, so i think there should be no worry.
  19. who even knows if the entrance is done yet? they still have 2 weeks to wrap things up.
  20. meanwhile i can give you this photo hint ... it will not look anything like this
  21. They're showing us Vortex's new paint job. Edit: And the new covers for the DB queue. Thanks Topgun. but it's a Diamondback webcam. what is the point of a Diamondback WEBCAM if it doesn't show Diamondback? something is up. your just naive lol.
