  1. wait so the entrance and exit are on the same side of the station? that doesn't make any sense?!?! I'm sure they will fence the que line that goes on the ground by the station.

  3. The ride formerly known as Tomb Raider. I know it's a safe ride, but based on its history i'm always really uneasy when i ride it.

  15. Anther post from Don! "Diamondback trains are fangtastic! February 25, 2009 I had my first up close and personal look at the Diamondback trains today. The seats are very comfortable. Lapbar works! - Don Helbig-"
  16. new blog post! Diamondback ready for test runs February 25, 2009 Winter weather, the kind that slows automobile traffic to a snail’s pace, has had little effect on construction work for Diamondback. Work crews have fought rain, snow and ice in their efforts to complete the best new roller coaster in the world for 2009. The track and electrical work is finished. All three trains have been placed on the track. The landscaping work around the ride site has begun. It’s just a matter of days now before Kings Island’s new $22 million steel roller coaster makes its initial test runs. “Despite the inclement weather in January and earlier this month, things have continued to move along pretty rapidly,” said Greg Scheid, Kings Island’s vice president and general manager. “We’re heading into the home stretch, and now that we are close to being finished, we’re all more excited than ever to see this ride running.” The anticipation and excitement Diamondback is generating is a shining example of what an amusement park is about – thrills, excitement, entertainment, and just plain fun! - Don Helbig
  17. they are red and baby blue coming off of the bush but red and black in the bowl. what happened?
  18. my previous comment was slightly exaggerated... but, kingda ka is 1.66g's of acceleration and ring is 2.45g's. it is quite a difference! and in comparison to top thrill, ring has a 1.7x faster launch.
  19. you guys have to realize that this ride will accelerate nearly twice as fast as top thrill or kingda ka. that launch is thrill enough. plus it is at a raceway. i'd imagine they don't want a huge top hat taking over the landscape like they would at an amusement park.
  20. this is old news. i'm surprised though that no construction photos have been uploaded to the web.
  21. i bet it will be flight suits for associates at flight deck again!
  22. i saw the drop today and was stunned. but it looks like they rebounded a bit
