  1. it would be sweet if they had a giant Diamondback snake like this but modeled around the final helix and you would enter from its tail wind through the tunnel and shoot out of its mouth into the splashdown
  2. i actually think this is an alter to make sacrifices since Diamondback is built so close to hallowed ground.... or is it to ward off any evil spirits lurking nearby?
  3. i wonder what the train shed will look like. will it have metal siding? or be themed like the station?
  4. seems reasonable, but there is a 215' drop from the top of the lift hill, the change in elevation from the lift hill to the bottom of the first drop can vary by a few feet making it 12' off the ground instead of 15'
  5. it's gonna be sweet to see that thing during haunt as the train rushes by sending the fog in all directions
  6. here are some pics i took yesterday and a pic of the lift motor from the last day
  7. off of the dayton daily news site from a few months ago, just in case some of you were still wondering what it is gonna look like
  8. eh, it's not as bad as you think
  9. eh, 200ft of stairs isn't as bad as you think, especially when adrenaline is pulsing through you veins
  10. well, maybe just the last straight piece, the crown will probably be last on the lift. i wonder if they will complete the first drop before the park closes, or maybe they will just do all the midway stuff later on.
  11. the tallest support has yet to be added is what i'm trying to say
  12. see, there are two supports with overlaps at the top, right now there is only one
  13. no, if you look at number 3 in this rendering and other renderings it has a bend near the top, the tallest support is the only only one with a bend at the top (bend or overlap). number 5 will be where the planters are in front of the building, then behind the building is number 4 that is still in construction, then number 3 which is already up.
  14. the tallest support still has to be completed, the tallest one right now is number 3 according to the renderings. support number 5 will be the one over the midway where the plant is on top.
  15. gesh, that's still got another 160ft or so to the top of the lift hill
  16. it's a lot of fun, ride in the front if you want a smoother ride or in the back if you want a more intense ride, give yourself atleast an inch of space between you and your lap bar. Vortex is ok, i'd suggest the back on that, you get a great first drop on that too.
  17. raven was stupid. i don't really like cci coasters, way underbanked, short, and boring. legend i thought had potential, but the lats on it were painful, plus the supposed double helix on it was almost childish. the voyage however was awesome! here is my rating... the voyage is the most thrilling wood coaster, Son of Beast the most epic, and beast the most fun. i think the voyage evens things out, so it's a tie.
  18. i think the supports that are there now are for the transfer track or maybe for the station, but they are not the main supports
  19. the supports are like grayish white, it reminds me a lot of Firehawk in color
  20. first time i rode it this year i loved it, last time i rode it i hated it
