    Spitting?

That sucks, man. Sorry to hear that but someone did something similar to me on The Beast on opening day. Coming out of the helix and into the brake run, the person two rows up from me thinks it would be cool to hawk a loogie. Said fluid hit me right in the face. I was so ticked.....
  2. Kings Island should definately get a ride like The Incredible Hulk at Universal's Islands of Adventure. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's the only launch B&M coaster in existence. 7 inversions, speeds near 70mph. Yeah, Kings Island definately needs something like that.
  3. Here's another one, this time between me and my Mom. We were in Flight Deck's station. Mom: "What year did this ride open?" Me: "1993" Mom: "So they kept The Bat in storage for 9 years?" Me: "No, this isn't The Bat! See how the track is banked?" Mom: "I don't care what you say, this ride is The Bat! I'm not going on this d*mn thing!"
  4. I heard this rumor at the park a long time ago: "The land Vortex sits on is haunted because people died on the ride that used to be here, The Bat."
  5. Thanks for sharing this excellent video with us! Nice to see Coney Island in it's heyday.

    Scared

I haven't had the chance to experience Diamondback yet. I'm not scared...I'm a little bit intimidated by the size and steepness of the first drop.
  7. Nice PTR Ashley! RWW really looked like a lot of fun and if I wouldn't have had to work this past weekend, I would have been there!
  8. Aaron- glad you enjoyed coming back to Kings Island. I have yet to ride Diamondback and enjoy how you highlight your three rides and your experience in each of those seats.
  9. Skywriter, if it has changed, please whack your friend upside the head for us.
  10. I was going to go today but I texted Danielle (keiko_coaster) about 1:00pm and she said most rides were longer than a 30 minute wait and there were kids galore. Today would've been a perfect day to go weather-wise. I'm off next Friday, and contemplating whether or not I should go as next weekend is Memorial Day Weekend.
  11. I rode it once last year and haven't been on it since. Last year, it was intense but was a lot of fun. I'll ride it again and see how the ride has changed. From what was said, it's not as fun and doesn't flip you as much. I'll check it out next time I get the chance to and will report back.
  12. When I went to Universal Orlando a couple of weeks ago, I noticed that food and drinks were way cheaper than those found at Kings Island. Of course, Universal Orlando probably has way more guests on an average day that Kings Island does. WOO-HOO POST #75!
  13. Sounds like fun...keep us posted. I would enjoy meeting some of you guys!
  14. Ogrmac- nice PTR, glad to see you had a good time. I've been to Chicago before. My grandfather took me up to Wrigley Field to a Cubs game in 1999 shortly before he passed. I'll have to head back up there to check out Sears Tower, the "bean", and that fountain. I like how the water squirts out when the mouth is open!
  15. Ryan, you win a years supply of car wax! I thought that was what that meant but I wasn't sure. I'm only 21 and I don't even know half of these acronyms the youngsters use!
  16. I third the shout-out. Even though I wasn't in attendance- from what I saw and read about the ERT, The Beast walkback, the Q&A, The Beast Bash, and all of the other events that Kings Island planned for their "ride warriors", I can tell Kings Island really put in a lot of time and effort to make this weekend memorable for all those who attended. Great job Don and Kings Island for a world class event for coaster enthusiasts!
  17. We had a contest at work last June, and the prize was tickets to Kings Island. We decided to come on a Tuesday because the crowds would probably be on the lighter side. We arrived about 12pm and most of the rides were short waits (5-10 minutes or so) except for Firehawk which was a 45 minute wait for us. I vote for anyday earlier in the week: Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.
  18. 1987: Vortex opens. Zodiac is SBNO the entire season. Screamin' Demon is removed at the end of the season and sold to Camden Park.
  19. KI Man, Nice PTR- thank you for sharing with us. Glad to see you have a Nikon D40- I want one so bad! Your pictures were out of this world! Have you considered about becoming a photographer?
  20. I've marathoned The Beast before. It wasn't much- 5 rides in one day, but I hope to get more than that in pretty soon.
  21. What does TBDBNTL mean? I have an idea but I'm not sure if I'm even remotely correct! Can we get Michigan's band down here too and have ourselves a feud? Andrew- proud to call Ohio his home because the Buckeyes are the best college football team in the nation.
  22. Kat, looks like you had a lot of fun this past weekend (minus the part where you were sick from eating at Frisch's) I would have loved to go, it looked like an absolute blast, and I would definately love to do The Beast walkback sometime. Nice photos and videos to describe your experience. Here's to next year- I will definately be there!
  23. I was down in Orlando last week, and I saw it from International Drive. The track is a dark purple color and looks awesome!
  24. Unrealsk8er- I guess that Universal is in the off season right now. I would love to ride The Incredible Hulk and Dueling Dragons in the dark. Every day that we went, both parks closed at 6pm. I talked to an employee and he said both parks will be open until 9pm when the vacation season picks up. That is a nice area down there. We did some exploring and found some nice areas around Dr. Phillips and Windermere. Quite a different climate up here, huh?
